Please suggest any good advocates in Chandigarh to work with.
Jails is a part of Prison Reform elective at NALSAR which has also been recognised and is a very prestigious program
Someone please please guide me on how to get internships in the top IP firms. I've emailed them multiple times but get no response. Why is it so hard? Please share experience if you guys have been able to land good internships. thanks
niloufer lam announced on her linkedin that she has founded a new law firm- NL legal. and this law firm's linkedin page has replaced ZBA's old one. has she completely taken over the firm now? what is going on???
Abhishek Anand's office attrition rate is in itself a joke! Toxic place to be !
The associates are not trained at all and find it difficult to survive elsewhere
Hilarious that you expect to hear about this on LI rather than checking in with HR!
Tier 3 will take you in, work your way up. Will get tier 1 by 2-3 years, provided you're active in workspace.
literally this. if you think your life is bad imagine being a 2024 graduate going to top NLU on a loan and then working in litigation because the economy and placements were absolute ass
Do you think projects has compliance work?😂😂 and who is extracting data of companies lol? That’s GC work kiddo. Learn something and then talk.
Heyy how much did they pay you as stipend at KCO Mumbai for internship?
look at attrition rate and founding partner's work history, will tell you everything you need to know
Funny how people go around naming their firms. Laughable!
In SAM Delhi out of the captioned partners, which is the best one to work with in terms of Culture, WLB, Quality of work (in that order)
seems you have no clue about them - they have 20-25 lawyers with the bulk sitting out of mumbai office.
Do you get Friday night(post 10:30) and either a Saturday OR Sunday free? Or not really? Is it a rare occurrence ?

I’m curious . This is addressed to everyone and the PA who has been working for 9 years at a T1.
Sigh. Are you really that thick? What I was asking was why you dont view the tutorials as an opportunity to make most out of your university experience.
I have a Question, I'll be interning in dec, how do you guys initiate the process of you know getting a call back or PPO? Do you write a mail or talk to the seniors or is it initiated by the firm
Which big law firms deal with rera matters? Not able to find much information on this.

Also- would it be possible to switch from in-house real estate to law firms?
Maybe ask your HR to be a little more proactive and nobody would flood your emails. Desperate times, desperate measures.
Hi, does anybody know if the results of the 2nd NUJS SILP Competition are out?
Any idea about the work culture, pay etc? There was a recent post about the firm hiring. Can anyone please give insights?
Rohan Shah. ELP Founder & MP, now a Senior. Huge name in tax. No family in the law as far as I know.
Now let us wait for the day when the Karnataka Govt. insists on compulsorily adopting Kannada as the medium of instruction in NLS.
stay away
all women place is not good.. (nothing against gender)
The problem is people increase their expenses in direct proportion to an increase in their income, to keep up with the lifestyle of their peers. This leads to fire on bank a/c not retirement
Yes, they usually call and ask, did xyz person work here? How long? And why did he leave?

Everyone says that they left for personal reasons on good terms, we wish him the best.
Bro, they barely even have Tmt work it’s shit, it’s mostly gen corp
For 0 PQE, the pay is around 40k in litigation team. Can confirm as a close relative to PA there. Not sure about other teams.
Which team of SAM Mumbai have vacancy for Batch 2025.
Well said. The students sacrificed the well-being of the institution in exchange for inflated grades.

😔
If this were 2029, it would be a simple solution: "Bring back Sudhir!" could be the short but sweet rallying cry.
I think you're a student or something, because I have observed that female dominated offices are the best wrt work life balance, job certainty, communication, soft skills and parties.
bump.can someone shed light on the compensation and how it is different from other practice area and other kco offices
May be you are living in a different world. The biggest asset managers including the likes of Blackrock and Blackstone work with them and possibly the largest funds, by size under any strategy are served by them. Basic Market knowledge if you know the market at all.
Not really. NLUs are generally elite bubbles cut off from rest of the society, located at an end of the city. As far as NLUD is concerned, you may be discriminated subtly if you don't party or indulge, but generally, not that much discrimination.
In 1992, 10 years before he entered the profession. He was 70 and unwell by the time GS started in law
Yup yup, did it. Happened seamlessly without seniority loss that too and at the same office
Please read the earlier threads created on this particular topic concerning this particular law firm. You will find your answers there!
Correction, never join a team trained by men. You may have a toxicity problem but that'll be because the partners are men. Women who are not made to compete for peanuts by men are the BEST.
Banks generally have a fixed salary band. So most probably they will have a fixed salary band for freshers. You can try getting an idea from someone on LinkedIn.
I have an internship coming up for December. Please someonee help me with a good PG or airbnb 🙏

i have been searching for a good one for a week now…if someone has leads near Def Colony or Kalaish Please drop
Just received a mail that I have been shortlisted for the internship (5 days after appearing for 2nd round)
I have an internship at CTIL delhi scheduled, can someone please review the working culture? is it worth it? their experience? What to expect?

Is it worth it for someone inclined in Investment Law and Competition Law?

Thanksss
KCO & GNLU Advance Certificate Course on Capital Markets and Securities Law- Is this course worth it and actually helps you gain valuable knowledge that you may not get from college? Reviews?
If you "don't have time", why are you on here all the time?
Alright! But decent or comparable pay is something that is not fashionable right? Or will you blame it on the "younger" concepts of fairness and rationality too now?
TMT teams are there in Bangalore and Delhi as well.
You're joking right.. please go back in history a bit and you will find how Kolkata is still relevant, even if only because all the big companies have their roots here. KCo itslef included.
never join a female dominated team, even if you're female.
worst team, never collaborative, too much blame game.
It's the best imo! I work in an all women firm where even the partners are women. Just two guys and it's so much nicer and calmer than your regular office.
You think HRs are paid to that extent too then? And the ones who are, are generally managing and doing some real work unlike most of the crowd.
At jiggles they used to take us to JNU to attend lectures by professors who had written what we studied. Having said that, these were prof specific, not everyone went
You people waste your time so much on here that after a point, for your own good, it has to become mutually exclusive.
You will most probably get to leave early :)

And ofcourse good celebrations
Guys i want to join NLU DELHI for ba llb, but i just am skeptical about the discrimation or something, like do non-hindu people face any kind of discrimination or anything?please help me with this
I have not seen a single soul on Linkedin make the switch from Induslnd is my only real worry
To be discussed during interview upon candidates existing capabilities :)
He is trying to set up base in Delhi - mainly appears before Oka J before whom he appeared in Karnataka. Has one junior. Decent lawyer. But hasn't broken into the SC league yet. Doesn't allow juniors to do their own work
So attending tutorials is supposed to make me into a better professional? Lol, no.
Who says that the most of college comes from the tutorial system? Sudhir himself didn't have tutorials in his own student days, he turned out rather okay despite that.
Any academic whose credentials are not visible from publications and research but time stamped Dailymotion videos is not worth championing.
Number one 'National' law school, folks! In a completely different league from all other 'state NLUs'! Lol, what heartburn must all the trolls here beating the NLS drum be going through now.
Hey, going to start my internship soon at a botique in Mumbai which has all women associates except the partners.

How is the culture generally when I'll be the only male most probably among women, is it good or bad
What kind of dreamland are you living in? Some of the people who are happiest at Trump's winning are people with significant wealth - elite bankers, finance people, investors. Please think more carefully before embarrasing yourself like this again.
Just shut the entire site down, have done with it and put people out of their misery. Please!!!
This is a topic of interest to the legal community in India. Why are there still so many comments blocked in the pipeline?
Don't need the NIA for it. Gujarat Police has good forensic resources. And if a terror link is detected they will automatically refer it to NIA.
In many NLUs you get a tour to visit the High Court if it is not in the same city. Sometimes for other things like Forensics Lab, Central Jail etc
life would be the same though. But yeah, better pay at least.
Hi everyone, I am Abhijeet from one of the nlu's. My question is how to get good internships in tier 1 or tier 2 firms. Any hack, advise everything is invited.

thank you
We'll cross that bridge when it comes! It's still not a bad idea to get ripped before graduating; and I'm guessing it's a million times easier to maintain that body once you have it /:
Take the break and have a social life! 1 month internship and barely a week to meet my friends and enjoy my city sucks! I hate internships and assessments
I'm an associate in the litigation team of KCO, is it possible to switch to the corp or b&f team? If yes, how do I go about doing it?
Any idea what they pay to their freshers? also how is the firm, especially for corporate law ?
What some law firm-ites in India have done instead of FIRE is FIRE-TAJ: Financial Independence Retire Early Teach at Jindal. You get a safety cushion.
even then we will not win more than 1-2 golds

worst performance by a host in history
Pay is 40-45. Partners are mostly good but the managing partner is a bit difficult to deal with. Only red flag is there are too many partners and interns, vvv few associates/SAs.
Even Aditya Singla and Supriya Juneja were Luthra's juniors, both killing it
What do people know about the mediation at AZB. Heads are fighting over equity and control. Will it survive the next decade with such trouble in paradise?
this point on damage control is 100% true. The Ambition box reviews have become rather laughable.
