Yes at azb and Khaitan. In rest law firms, it's a sub standard practice where they barely make even a third of what a gem corp partner bills. It's a shame really.
There is a litigation wing which is currently headed by Anind Thomas and Mrinal Shankar.
Chennai Office takes in a lot of interns. Try reaching out to them through a call. They might accommodate.
That’s great that you know 4 people but regardless we will need the actual lists to come out to know for sure. Which NLU will you be opting for then ?
same as the subject + is it worth interning now, considering it will be my last internship before Day Zero
If better faculty can't produce better student performance, then what's the use of having such faculty?
From which angle? Nobody teaching there has got any standing or good quality publications or research output.
How is the AZB Del office for Disputes-Litigation? Work culture, toxicity, is it as bad as Mumbai office?
These rankings are just eyewash meant to promote unscrupulous organisational behaviour. They aren't any indicator of real quality.
hi guys. I have an internship scheduled early next year at 3legal Blr. I was to come down to blr but due to some problems, i cannot. the confirmation email said virtual/hybrid. so is it possible to the internship virtually?
They are transformative. Not what you do if you're thinking of how much more money you will make but if you are curious and want more knowledge and to change how you think.
OP how delusional are you? Litigating lawyers struggle not everyone makes money just because they spent two decades in litigation practice. I really feel your view is super flawed.
For higher studies and an academic career, go for LLM offered by IIT Kharagpur.
Bhai benett also has good faculty. Doesn’t make them any better.
If faculty is the metric, JGLS is far ahead. Sadly for them, graduation outcome (employment) matters more- and that’s where SLS leads.
Don’t even now how this can be a debate. SLS is decades old. Check out T1 law firm partners- how many of them are from JGLS? JGLS is fancy but can’t come close to the alumni network of SLS, especially at T1 law firms.
Hello wanted to know if any one of you from 2026 has received PPO ?

I got a verbal confirmation for a T1 partner 2 weeks ago and just received my confirmation letter.
100% agree. Would definitely make it easier for competent lawyers to earn money by removing incompetent lawyers from the Bar.
Like you are supposed to put your head down while walking past a senior, address then as β€œSir” etc. Supposedly Gen Z, but with a mindset even more regressive than boomers.

I will go ahead and name two of them: GNLU and RMLNLU.
I completed my first internship assessment test on Saturday. How long does it usually take to receive the results and proceed to the next test? Should I consider reaching out to the HR if I don't receive any updates in the next few days?
Rule of thumb IMO:

1. Female under 27 = girl, over 27 = woman.

2. Might be ok to address women over 27 as girls if you are childhood friends with them, their classmate etc. Or if a woman herself likes to be called a girl to be trendy and to feel empowered.
Does anyone know the hiring trends of Trilegal's Bangalore office? Do they have vacancies for batch 2026, particularly the TMT team?
How are the NLUs which have had new VCs in the past one year doing ? What are the reviews for NLU Delhi, Assam, Jabalpur, Shimla, Sonipat, Mumbai, Jodhpur etc ? They all got new VCs in 2024. Who is improving, who is not ?
Definitely worth getting into. However, considering the firm only hires max 5 freshers in a year, be open for other options as well.
Not Jindalite. But there's a limit of how much you can hire from a mota batch of 1000
Haha, see it otherway also. How people from other decent colleges feel when NLS grad look down upon them.....
life is difficult across teams at KCO, Mumbai. The sweet old tale sold by the firm is far from reality.
culture is at par with Trilegal GGN projects, that should answer your question.
Virtus GT - excellent brag value, drivability, and resale value. Servicing may be expensive, but it's a german that you can drive without second thoughts.
Why would they not go by the name of their most recent educational institution do you tell the name of your school when asked about your education after graduation. no you don't
I am going to cross the presumptive tax limits and I need to understand how to deal with taxation. I know I will have to be audited but any ideas or suggestions on this?
They had announced that they pay bonus to freshers (about 1.2 lacs or so). Assuming then that they should pay across levels. Or is that just for publication and there's actually no bonus at the junior/mid level?
Did you even read the question or are you just here to dickride NLUs? He's obviously asking for alternate paths and the road ahead rather than being fixated on one college. Just let people do what they wanna do.
any sources to this hiked salary for freshers? Wasn't it 17.6 LPA
NLUs are just factorise for corporate law firms to hire from and nothing more than that. If you wanna do anything else like litigation, judiciary, etc then NLUs are not gonna have a massive effect on your cv.
India's Top 3 for legal studies are JGLS ,NLS & Faculty of law, DU.

Is the 5 year course by DU a game changer in the legal landscape?!
Are there any boutique law firms that pays better than tier 1 firms to a fresher
People deserve this & even worse. Chance to do something about it was lost on 4th June 24
Rhodes is a scholarship, not an LLM! It doesn't mean because you have got in that you'll get into either the BCL, MJUR, MLF or anything yet! Please stop spreading misinformation.
Does every spin off even if a private limited company require nclt
NFSU PR chief agent, we know you are here, you have said your piece, please now shut up!
1. He doesn't have to (and I am sure doesn't want to) emulate the Jindal model in all respects.

2. This comment shows exactly how low standard you are as a person, a student and a lawyer.
I hear Mrinal Sharma and some of the new partners are good to work with. Thoughts?
Hi to all women of legally India, can you recommend some brands where I can get office bags? (Something durable and long lasting)
Not necessarily. I know atleast 4 people who are common in the top 50 of both exams (me too!)
1. Do they hire Freshers?

2. How much do the associate make?

3. How one can apply to their chambers?

4. Work Culture?
Looking for insights into the day to day work, future prospects, opportunities, etc. in this sector.
How hard or easy is it too clear the solicitors exam in the United Kingdom how does it look if you get an LLM from the US and clear either of Chicago or the New York bar?
Do the prospects and network enhance significantly? Is it an investment worth making on the long run?
Which college are you going to? If not a good Law school, consider doing your graduation and then do a 3 year law from NLS/Jindal. You will have more options
AZB Noida 2024/25 batch. A0s getting how much (including bonus)? Is the annual package still just 15 lacs?
Interesting. Would've been a better decision to keep it in Chennai imo and break the SOEL/Ambedkar Law College state govt uni hegemony in the city
Absolutely. If it extends to alumini's evil means to destroy someone's prospect to support hiring of dumb people and make the workplace shitty.
Just get an automatic Kia Seltos in matte colour, looks classy, is practical and Kia offers some of the best service experience in the industry.
NLSIU is not offering any better level of education anymore, especially in its masters programme.
Faltu-est logic being given by the FM, GST was supposed make things simpler and not do such bullshit
Can someone confirm whether interning with the TMT team could up your chances for recruitment now that the team is making a shift?
How about you give up your generational wealth and privileges and are forced to undergo the same standard of education and training as everyone else in the country?
The corp jobs aren't coming because of the BA or BSc part, but because of the LLB part. BSc grads have got a few extra options other than everything that the BA grads will have.
Hey Guys, 4th year law student from NLU, any ideas where there is a good commercial contracting practice in law firms? i've seen very few law firms do this.
