How is the culture and the work. I have noticed that the attrition rate seems high here. Is it worth it to switch here if i want decent pay and work life balance?
Overall easy to pass, perhaps difficult in compare to AIBE -xviii. I'll not be surprised to see similar figure to 50% grads failing AIBE.
Like I know for a fact, getting a Rhodes scholarship is tough, but apart from that, is any other llm demanding?
Nowadays even middle-class people are going abroad, so the rich lawyers need another differentiator. So they send their children to private boarding schools in the UK.
Stay outside the campus then. Many options available relatively cheaper than any other metro city. Salt Lake has many PGs and apartments available on rent. If you want a certain standard of lifestyle, then be prepared to pay for it.
What makes your opinion any better than that of the trolls?
Despite that, less than 50% pass it every year, so it is keeping a lot of incompetent people away.
Lobbying gets more policies influenced than research and good lobbying requires decent research.
Compare the graduate outcome of the two universities. SLS P grads and alum are way ahead.
Okay, but your university despite all those advantages cannot still place more than 10% of its batch in any year, so your claim of superiority feels rather hollow.
Christ ? Well known for vacant seats ? Hahahaha
Lol..calm down small town law boy living off your daddy! You're ugly as shit
That still does not explain what's the difference between the degrees. You would have faced a similar problem had the BA cohort been increased in size and people with connections get in every year, even among the regular BA people.
I am from an non nlu batch of 2026 our college placements are none I am very scared on how will I get a job once I graduate can someone pls suggest what to do I do have one internship confirmed in tier 1 and one in tier 2 in upcoming months
The fact that someone is calling it a Jindal-NLSIU model just shows how far NLS has declined under Messiah.
Bare Acts could pass you. Didn't take the new labour laws(it was not in set) and the income tax act. Missed 5 questions.
As a former student from what I have heard. It was J Jayalalitha, former CM's idea. Srirangam was her constituency at the time when the university was founded.
That law firm requires you to surrender your bar license when you start working with them.
Join SLS. Great opportunities, brilliant campus location, and an amazing life in Pune! You shouldn’t even doubt it. You don’t want to stay stuck in that jgls hostel!
I can vouch for Mr. Abhijnan Jha, AZB Disputes. Truly a gem of a person and he is v chill.
Hows the internship, ppo and salary scenario at Tempus Hyderabad? Are they hiring and if so how is the work culture?
I wanna go for a corporate internship and these two are the only firms i could get response from and I'm confused about which one to choose. Help would be appreciated
All shit, not worth bothering about, if you want further study of law beyond LLB/BALLB/BBALLB/BsCLLB level, India (except for NLSIU) ain't worth it at all, not just HPNLU.
Exactly. And ensuring that the unis are forced to turn (where necessary) in the direction of the Humboldtian model where possible.
We all know which or who you're referring to.

But we should remember that someone as successful as him would have an exceptional understanding of the rules.
JGLS is way ahead of SLS Pune. Compare the faculty. NLUs and Harvard/Oxford alumni vs Solapur, Kolhapur alumni :)
Workload has increased a bit. No more WFHs, rest all remains same.
Bump. And how the hell are they representing clients in courts being the employees?
As the title suggests, are the questions only restricted to Arbitration and Contracts or do they also ask questions regarding IBC.
what is the trolling part bro i just know who this is from his complaints and role and writing style
Hi are their tier 1 or tier 2 firms with litigation or policy teams in Gurgaon? If yes, please name a few. Thanks.
Absolutely don’t do it. You’re living the dream. Also, why do you want to hang out with lawyers anyway? :-)
Can you please provide your views in best coaching centre for CLAT in Delhi. Along with pros and cos and track record. Thank you
IN 3RD YEAR BA LLB ( t 1 nlu) , here goes my doubt abt pcs j
1.) is it worth it
2) maybe a silly question but will my prmotions are limited to district judge in reality .
3) how much time for prep .
Save your time. They won’t be hiring, anyway the decision is mostly made by the Bangalore peeps by looping in seniors from Delhi and Mumbai.
Factors:

- Fuel efficiency

- Servicing

- Resale value

- Swag value —-I’m obviously not competing with equity partners, but I don’t want like Cyra from Jindal or Adhvyét from GLC, who could be my contemporaries or even junior to me, scoffing at me.
Hi, Could anyone please tell me hiring scene at Trilegal Mumbai for Disputes Team. Which partner is hiring or has chances of being hired? For 2025 batch, this year. Any insider information would be immensely helpful.
has someone appeared for the interview round? pls help with some pointers, thanks.
Serious review, how is it for LLM ? How's the infrastructure? How is the new VC ? How is the faculty? Are there any accomodation for LLM boys ? How's the accomodation? Thanks
I think you are from the old school guys, S&R ECM is no longer a T1 star practice it used to be, most clients now prefer undercut deals proposed by CAM, JSA and the likes.
Dialogue is mostly about organizing discussion panels and lobbying and less about hardcore research. Just read their papers and you will understand. Not sure about Aapti
At least none that I am aware of. Not sure why as it would certainly make for an interesting show!
Don't lecture me about its importance, I do understand but it's not even fulfilling its objective.

The exam is damn easy and should be made more complex to ensure that only good quality lawyer can be an advocate.
I received PPO recommendation from equity partner from a T1 law firm because of a similar email so yes it works
yeah instead you can go to bennett uni. if lyod is the option
In addition, regular BA students will now be admitted to NLS. That will change the entire culture of the university.
Do India qualified lawyers have hope in Japan for globally standard practice areas IPR, Arbitration and Mediation, etc.
Any idea why the Tamil Nadu government decided to establish TNNLU in Tiruchirappali (Trichy) instead of Chennai? Or Coimbatore/Madurai at the very least.
Top 10 most good looking lawyers (Men/Women) in law firm circles?
SLSP all the way, look at the partnership pool across the tier 1s. Jindal has a long way to go.
Is it true that there has been an accomplishment problem at nliu Bhopal this year , therefore they've cut down the UG batch size and at the same time are not accepting PhD applications for this and next year ?
Dialogue's Delhi office is a better bet. They have can publishing a lot lately and have got good ministry connections for pushing policies.
If you are from a tier 2 or tier 3 college, then you can expect to earn 50K after 7-8 years of practice.
How is the IndusLaw CM team faring in the treacherous seas of CAM ? Been hearing whispers of disgruntlement
I have the same doubt bro. I wanna continue for 6-7 years not more than that.

Would really appreciate if someone entertains the query.
A “law firm” i know doesn’t keep it’s lawyers as retainers but as employees. Is it legal given bar council rules prohibiting employment of any kind?
It's like a comparison between a batch of 1000 rich guys vs a batch of 300 rich guys. Honestly, take your pick. It's the same.
If BSc courses are more relevant then why do you want corp jobs and not forensics?
Thank you so much for response.

Does anyone know about the work at Dialogue or Aapti institute?
For placements, SLS is far better. You’ll get lost among the crowd in Jindal.
Really great team, the MAs are both really nice and will help you with proper feedback.
As per the past trends, I'll be getting sonipat in counselling and MNLU-N via vacancy, so just wanna know pro and cons for both.

And anything that I should know.
Pata nahi par AZB ki badiya thi. We had wow momos ka stall 😋😋😋
In India actually we glorify so Called adjustment which simply means lack of sense of hygiene, privacy and personal space and this mentality leads to no improvement and "adjustment" is considered virtue.
It's an ok place, not as much work as you would hope. Partners lack tact and social graces, and teams are not very welcoming. Had worked for a very brief stint (6 months-ish).
The fact that this has two downvotes shows how truely fucked our country is. I am hoping, at least, that one of the downvoters was left wing and one right wing.
JGLS is much better than SLSP and, in my opinion, is one of the top six law schools in India. Do not listen to what the trolls say on LI regarding JGLS. Choose JGLS if you can afford it. Good Luck!
Like corporate law is not made on contacts, huh? It's even more flashy than litigation tbh.
"cheap means" is a crazy way to phrase college support for careers LMAO.
They'll hire intellectuals to carry out their work and those intellectuals will tell stories of struggle to their grand children.
No bonus at junior level till A3/4.

Furthermore tax is at 30% brackets, so decide accordingly.
If you get NALSAR in CLAT, you should take it. Is it as good as it was a few years back? No. But it is still very good.
I didn't glorify working on off days. On the other hand, you glorified by claiming the same without actually doing it. When did I say it is a benchmark? It's your assumption.
IndusLaw's TMT team has confirmed its shift to SAM. With the star practice of the firm shifting - what will remain? Seems like the reign will lie in Saurav's hand only now.
I think good academic rigour should also teach you to write in a simple, more palatable, manner to convey your point.
no way there are 6 PPOs confirmed for BO 26. maybe a couple but that's it
He has written "Afterall, its still India". Only if rich kids would bother enough to actually read what's written :)
The HR did not respond to me either... Any idea on who to approach in the Bangalore office?
Bhai i am already in a tier 1 NLU with a job, main kyu jalunga 😂😂

And anyways it will be easier to navigate law firms if you have such mediocre competition
If you want to get a good idea about a lot of things they're good enough. There's a lot of bias, but we need to manage on what we can.
Degree pe itna invest kro. Fir internship pe paisa bahao.... and in the end it all boils down to nothing. Law is the worst profession for lower middle class. And it has no place for outsiders. It's more toxic and haywire...than nepotism
I'm from Assam, studying in NLUJ. There are usually 3-5 people from NE in our batches. Sometimes more, never less.
My friend runs this boutique private M&A/VC firm called Ascendus Law Partners based out of Noida. I think the work culture is better than T1 there. You can reach out to them and discuss.
I know a girl who wrote an absolutely cringe and poorly researched article on how intellectual property rights are against human rights and exploits the poor. Like zero footnotes and just political bombast. It got published in EPW. 🙈
I'm genuinely asking, please tell if it would really work.
46, educated, professional, will become a citizen of the first world... Yet doesn't know the rules, or how to search for them. Sometimes it's hard to fathom how people get to where they are being this stupid ! God bless you dear.
