The UK suggestion seems more realistic and grounded. Hardly anyone with an Indian degree has ever gotten into the JSP programme - none/zero/zilch that I know of or can see.
Really need some help. Thanks

I have an offer to join DMD advocates, Delhi in their corporate practice vertical, and would welcome any insights you could share. I do not see the firm amongst even mid-tier firm rankings, but they do seem to be involved in quite a few transactions. Any other deets about WLB, salaries will also be appreciated. Thanks!
Is she back in trial courts? Insights on office culture, junior pay, etc. please.
Thanks in advance!

The annual income he declared was Rs 10 crore.I I guess this would include income from investments too. So perhaps his law firm income will be around 9. Honestly, I expected it to be a lot higher, unless he is under-declaring. Because tier 3 senior advocates earn more than this.
What do you guys think? Is this the going rate? Do they earn that less in relation to senior counsels?
Do people really shift to Dubai to work there? And do they pay enough to sustain in Dubai? What's the pay scale like.
Insights would be great. Thank you
And when you are on 10 deals, how can your weekends be free?
V.R.S. needs to take a VRS (voluntary retirement scheme). Btw, what happened to that protest?
-Just a curious cat!
Hope this helps :)
And trust me, it a sign of a smart person to think that they are not good enough because stupids only think that they know it all. But getting anxious over it is problematic.
Try some physical activities after work or on weekends like playing some sport, or hitting gym or even running. Physical activities help a lot with anxiety. And please talk to your friends, or people who are close to you. If you don't find any hmu.
It's fine brother, we all are in this together!!
How do they have work whole year ? Is it by the same client of different clients

Some partners have had vacancies open up recently due to unexpected exits at associate levels itself, and they are hiring, only through PPOs though. Make it into those teams and you have a good shot.
After revamping the entire Office of Admissions and Outreach, Mishraji has ensured record admissions at JGU year after year. Surely he should be considered!
When I review CVs, any publication listed under such journals leads to an automatic rejection. It's worth investing time in credible, peer-reviewed journals rather than taking shortcuts with publications that don't carry weight in the field.
Not having publication at all > pay-to-publish journal. Do moots, do good internships, do crazy centre work. Anything.
What do you guys think?
Thank you.
I know that lot of lawyer/law firms cannot at times give their real email address, how do we solve it? Asking since lots of lawyers go through threads, so we need a better way to connect with them.
1) CAT is one of the most competitive exams in India. You have a four year gap in your resume and have no work ex to show for it. Even if, hypothetically, you were to get into a Tier-2/3 MBA college, that will be a waste of time and resources. You will graduate with an enormous education loan that you will not be able to pay off in time. This situation would only arise if employers with good paying salaries are willing to give you a shot (which is unlikely).
2) The smartest thing for you to do now, given that you have invested 4 years in preparing for UPSC (hopefully which has been a genuine utilisation of time) is to prepare for other easier government exams. You can try out - Railway Recruitment Board, SBI PO, SSC CGL, IBPS Clerk, NABARD, state PCS exams, judiciary papers etc.
In the meanwhile, please do not compromise on work experience. Join a coaching centre as a law faculty.
I have an upcoming interview at Fox Mandal & Associates at there infrastructure team as a Trainee Associate.
I wanted to know from someone else who has experience in a similar role in relation to infrastructure at a Corporate Law Firm. What are the topics I must familiarize myself with, and what should I brush up on before my interview. Any help is appreciated.
Overall if you get an opportunity to join AN’s team. Please do.
heard its two teams - banking and cap marks.
how is the work / delegation? do associates learn?
But the question is whether are such salary is enough for your living ? The answer is big nooo !
If you can survive to work for 8-10 hrs in a day for 15k salary for few years than you can make money and do well in this profession.
Coming to the practice in Bangalore will be usually in Civil Court along with few matters in Magistrate Court and also in High Court you will be be given tasks to go to all these courts and if your senior has Tribunal work you may have to go there also.
Secondly, You will be paid around 15-20k as salary by so called generous seniors and if you are lucky they may pay you extra 5-10k based on performance and their generosity.
Thirdly, A good senior expects you to work in all 3 or more courts in a day and looks at your ability to learn from him, some seniors expects that you have to learn from looking at their practice and they won't like asking every nuke and corner of the procedure but some of them are going to mentor you like each and every aspect of the practice.
They will expect you to file objections and filing IAs and getting certified copies from Civil Court to getting scrutiny objection cleared in High Court in one day.
Fourthly, to find senior one should have luck otherwise you have to lick their boots till you find another good senior !
There are some Bangalore based litigation advocates posts about vacancies go through it.
Main point to consider shifting is the opportunities, however, if you can survive with this initial pay then you can rock in this profession.
(Atleast that's what I have been told by my Seniors)
