1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

VCV is VC Vivekanandan, former professor at NALSAR. He deserved to have been appointed instead of NKC last time, but the TMC pushed through NKC.
MKS is MK Sinha. Was a professor and NUJS and one of MP Singhโs recruits. He left for ILI and has been in Delhi for a long time.
VCV and MKS will definitely be an improvement over NKC, but what NUJS really needs is a top-class NLU alum like Sudhir.
Sorry to upset the liberals here, but the BA courses are absolutely useless (and much of it ideologically one-sided and woke).
This is talking about just the law domain. If I expand the discussion to include other schools and departments in NFSU, it is in a different league altogether.
The partners have a strong legal acumen and it's a pleasure working with them on high-stake litigations.
His attention to detail is very impressive and the effort that he put into being absolutely well prepared on facts as well as legal points was commendable. In case I would have pursued a career in litigation, I would have loved to be a part of his chamber.
Have a very limited perspective on him since my interaction with him wasn't brief to be honest. But seems a genuinely good boss and mentor!
Thank me later, whenever you guys are applying at lesser-known firms.

We do hire juniors for 4000 p.m. and they do all the work for us, while we do enjoy.
Be careful though, the quality of the course is well, coughs, chokes, and splutters
Already, there are instances wherein the demand for BBA-LLB is higher than BA-LLB, reflected in higher cut-offs, and there are a few universities that don't offer BA-LLB at all. The transition is happening. That said, state NLUs are still geared towards humanities students and hence BA-LLB, barring a few half-hearted attempts. Think of it - in all its wisdom, the administration in NLS actually thought that offering a 3-year BA degree is future-oriented!!!!
I am a law student at a top Uni and had bagged a PPO after an assessment with a top tier 1 law firm (Banking Team). However, I was to intern with the firm till I graduate, May 2026.
However, they have stopped responding and I have received no response and I am devastated about these affairs as I have looming loans and family obligations to clear with the salary I expected. What is the way forward now? Can someone please help me with the mail ID below - chococolatecheesecake@proton.me
PS I have interned already for an year previously and was told not to sit for placements and my grades are good. I have proof to attest all of the above.
1. Sudhir v IIT Delhi Dean: Theory v skills
2. LW v RW: Humanistic education v Technical and market-linked education
Otherwise the Arun Jaitley IBC Moot is also good if you ar generally intrested in disputes and also like Insolvency Law
A startup founder may be taking home more money, but he still can't charge anything for a hearing.
I'm kidding, of course. Stating because of Poe's Law.
As you grow into your profession, you start getting into more senior roles. You start earning royalties from patents. And so on
1. Where other countries do not even allow somebody to get a foot in the door of academia without a completed PhD or proof that one is being pursued, India still manages to have a system whereby those without a PhD can get into the sector (if only in very junior positions, to be fair).
2. We find ourselves, here, confronted with the type of behaviour that an unnamed British government insider, in a different context, described to the London Times columnist Tim Shipman as entitled "knobheadery". Where a TA position in other countries is given almost exclusively to PhD students in their penultimate or final years of a PhD, we have a person here who isn't even willing to take our country's weird exam for non-PhD holders to get in and wants such a position "handed to them", as Sir P.G. Wodehouse might say, "on a silver plate with waterchress around it".
PS: Legally India, you want feedback on how to improve your service? Here's an idea. Look up the blog of Brian Leiter, the well-known legal theorist belonging to the realist school of thought, based at the University of Chicago. On his blog (leiterreports.typepad.com), he has a sub-category of posts called "Merciless rhetorical spankings of fanatics, villains and ignoramuses". Create a sub-category of posts like that, where posts like this one and responses like the one I have included above are featured. If you want to continue to be inspired by Leiter but adapt the title for the context of this website, you can call it "Merciless rhetorical spankings of fools, fanatics, trolls, villains, entitled brats and those with unrealistic expectations".
How will studying Marx, Romila Thapar, Ambedkar etc equip law students? Isn't it better to train them to be more technocratic?

"According to the present findings, Democrats (more than Republicans) tightly centre their belief-system around a set of positions at the extremes of these particular items, implying that people who deviate from these positions are likely to be considered as outgroup members (extremity should thereby be understood as a function of both, the formulation of the item and the response). It is possible that holding extreme (and thus unnegotiable) attitudes on important social-political issues has become increasingly identity defining for Democrats, not least in response to Donald Trump's controversial presidency. The pattern does not imply that Republicans are more tolerant than Democrats, nor that Republicans could deal better with attitudinal uncertainty. It does imply, however, that โat this particular moment in timeโ Democrats and Republicans are constructing and managing their partisan identities differently in relation to the topics reflected in these questionnaire items. Ye le aur bol le fake news. The truth is NLUD can never be in the leagues of NLS/NALSAR and NUJS. It's a tier 2 college masquerading as a tier 1 courtesy papa NIRF
NLUD is horrible if you want a job, their PPO statistics for 2026 are almost same as HNLU/NLUO
He needs you more than you need him
To be honest, I just want the LLM badge - not keen on pouring in too much effort. BA LLB and the law firm grind have already taken their toll. Ideally looking for an institute thatโs reasonably priced (โsastaโ) and doesnโt demand heavy time or academic commitment.
Open to suggestions - nothing too fancy, just not terrible either.
would love the input of learned LL peeps <3
1. Clear NET immediately. You can do it in 4-5 months prep. December NET is coming up. You can easily get NET. You can focus on JRF later since the age is till 33, and it requires more preparing time. So first and foremost clear NET asap
2. Once you've cleared NET immediately apply for PhDs. In central universities without net, you won't stand a chance in interviews. For NLUs, you may have a slight advantage, however some NLUs do take their own entrance exam. Apply for it.
3. Focus solely on your research proposal. Contact faculty if you can and once you establish good communication. You can send them your RP for suggestions. Once you sit in the interview, they will definitely help if they are familiar with you.
4. Once you get into a PhD program. Once your initial coursework is done, that's where you need to attend university, once done you immediately start applying for Assistant Professorship in various universities.
5. NET+PhD pursuing will help you get more offers than without net

Also please share some HR questions that were asked from you as well as technical questions (specially for disputes)
Who it WILL be: Probably Rathin (โฎโฎโฎ) or one of the two Dubes (โฎโฎโฎ but not terrible).
Who it CAN be: Faizan Mustafa. His political ideology will suit the TMC and also the students, who are mostly left-leaning. At the same time, he governed NALSAR well. First thing he did as NALSAR VC was write a letter to all alumni requesting their help and inputs.
Who it WONโT be: VCV or Sinha. No political heft.
So are lots of Cammies, Sammies etc flocking to these places?

โSo the guy who spent his lifetime saying the deep state hides things from you and represses you is now saying โWeโve got nothing to hide, trust me,โโ said the Trump biographer Tim OโBrien. โAnd the people who follow him donโt. They think heโs just as bad as the people he criticized before he became president.โ

If this is a document you're seeing first time in your life, 9 hours isn't enough. You need time to look up the applicable law and understand concepts.
