So I come from a science background and I have to choose between BALLB or BBALLB. Now most people say that choose whatever you're interested in, and that's good advice but the issue is that I am interested in both. On one side, I am interested in intellectual pursuits such as philosophy, history, political theory, etc and on the other side I am focused on capitalistic pursuits such as financial markets, businesses, entrepreneurship, startups, economics. So naturally, it becomes a very difficult choice for me. I am interested in both of them to the extent that if I choose one, I'll still be studying about the other in one way or another. If I choose BA then I'll still study about markets, businesses, equities, derivatives, startups etc and If I choose BBA, I'll still study about philosophy and other theories etc. I tried downloading and reading a few books and it seems like bba would have subjects like accounting, quantitative techniques etc which made me feel intimidated because of the maths involved in them. I'd love some advice coming from someone who has done either or has some experience. Kindly help me out.

Firstly, BBA LLB will include subjects such as finance, management, marketing and so on whereas BA LLB will include subject such as history, philosophy, logic, etc. (stating this because you confused the two in your post).

BBA LLB does involve a bit of math, but it is similar to the simple interest compound interest stuff (not as easy, just in the same area). I will say that commerce students were able to get a hang of it easily as compared to students from other fields (my observation, ultimately it depends on the student).

Ultimately, it does not have a lot of impact on your final job - you can choose BA LLB and go into GenCorp, but it does help to have that knowledge.

Also, there is a chance you may switch your 'chosen' field of law, so don't make a decision on the basis of that, just choose what comes easily to you and what you feel like studying.

If you do choose BBA LLB, continue practicing sums because it is the easiest way to score marks.

Also, if you come from a science background, if possible, why don't you opt for a BSc LLB/BTech LLB?

Thanks for your advice. I can't opt for BSc LLB or Btech LLb because it just simply isn't offered in the college I'm getting. Even if that was the case, I wouldn't have chosen them as they both require tremendous efforts alone and would've distracted me from the law subjects.

No kind of LLB, go for Medicine or Engineering (not the usual streams). Also, first clear CLAT and get a top law school, then choose BBA, the kind of subjects they teach in BA will make you lose interest in law, the good thing is that BA subjects make your life easier in law school because they require less efforts to pass.
