Some people have been debating about this online. Many people are saying that 2S means same-sex, but AFAIK it means two-spirit, which refers to a tradition in the Native American community. But should we also use this in India? Does a two-spirit concept exist among adivasis and indigenous tribes in India? Also, why did Trudeau remove the “I” from LGBTQIA? Typo? So should it be 2SLGBTQIA?

Did a bit of reading to understand taxation for professionals. But I still have to chalk out a proper tax to leverage all available deductions.
Would appreciate insights from someone on a retainer who's already filed returns.
Cheers and thanks.
And honestly, atleast show some integrity when you're arguing rather than falsifying facts in a pathetic attempt at defamation. And you're calling my verifiable arguments rhetoric? NLUD placement committees DO NOT remove people who haven't got placed to bump up percentages. Who is "everyone"? Some jealous Noojie trolls like you who can't accept the decline of your college and keep living in denial about more enterprising NLUs?
And I'm not going to provide you names of people with TCs, check on LinkedIn yourself if you're that desperate. Honestly, your opinion of NLUD matters very little since you've shown that you don't even know what goes on at the place, but your malicious arguments deserve to be called out as BS. But let me reiterate, it would be a big mistake for anyone to choose NUJS over NLUD. NUJS is going nowhere beyond their "fourth" place.

ii. Any suggested readings?
iii. Noob things to avoid??
Isn't this kind of regressive and bad for women's empowerment? ☹️

You should also apply for DU 3Y LLB, it's a good programme.
I will be joining a tier 1 law firm as an A0.
Was wondering if there is anything (financially) to keep in mind before joining the firm. Honestly, I don't really know much about all this and was wondering if someone experienced can shed light on this. It would be great if someone can also explain how the taxes work exactly and what all deductions will be made+ if there is any investment scheme i should look into.
Really looking forward to what you brilliant minds have to say.
[Ed: Post title renamed, was erroneously / trollishly: NLU-Jodhpur beats NUJS in merit list.]
How do these jobs play out? I mean for a person(especially NLU grad) who might be interested in policy will end up consulting political parties and getting associated with an ideology as a consequence. I have, personally seen one friend of mine, working in political consultancy for a think-tank which is advising a party(right leaning) while this person does not favour the ideology. Says, lack of opportunities & varied pay in such organisations in this sector, leaves no scope to switch as of now.
The reason for this is that we have maintained strong connections to land. I am a law school graduate, living and working abroad, and my parents spend a considerable amount of time with me here. However, we lease out our lands every year (‘theke te’ - for those who understand the local vernacular*), usually to the same person/family, who till it. We get paid a pre fixed amount in return which counts as agricultural income. Most city based Jat Sikh families that don’t till themselves have this arrangement. As such, I get to say, if needed, that my ‘father is an agriculturist (a farmer).’
Alternatively, my father’s brothers live in the village and till our lands as well as their own. Therefore, I get to say that I belong to ‘a family of farmers.’ This doesn’t mean I’m lying in either case. However, this also doesn’t mean that my father wasn’t a senior military officer.
It’s the same with Jaiveer who I happen to know well.

This is depressing and disgusting. Those of us who are economically centrist/right (which is the majority of the educated upper-middle class) voted for Modi because we expected a departure from Congress-style socialism. Modi promised "Minimum Govt Maximum Governance". Instead, he is giving us more of the same! No worthwhile privatisation other than Air India and a few airports in small towns. We overlooked cow belt Hindutva because we felt privatisation is the need of the hour. If Modi does not deliver on privatisation then he is betraying our trust!
What do you think, friends?
But happy to let her decide
Thank you.
Consider 25 going for litigation.
Then it is 11/25 for first batch.
MNLU Nagpur is humble & blessed with such number for the very placement for very first batch.
The quality of this young institute could also be determined by comparing the very first batch of other young NLUs which were started around the same time period.
No such Young NLU has even infact released stats for their first batch.
Among other NLUs & specifically Young NLUs ,perhaps MNLU Nagpur is the only inst. trying to participate in all statutory rankings & recognition process.
Most other young NLUs infact shy away from revealing place-stats of first batch but we did.
Anyways the doubt & question of Comparing NLU Nagpur itself with old biggies in the circuit itself raises credibility of Nagpur.
Eg: Neha Samant, Navodita Gupta, Nidhi Parekh & Etc
Guess neither could win the popularity contest amongst the so-called “old boys club”
PS - R will get a toffee if he/she publishes this comment. Just remember to look outside SEBI on a weekday for a man handing out toffees.
The campus is good, but the T&P cell has to put a lot more effort into bringing campus recruitment. This is my honest opinion.

So I'm totally interseted! How can I apply?
Just astonished that the senior partners didnt fight for the team they took with them? I am sure some internal discussion must have happened on this front as well.
Does this affect the Partners only? Or the entire team including associates?
Part of the decision? Was this an internal decision not to take salaries? or did AD make the decision for them?
On a similar note, this is like how Noojies keep saying that even NLS placements are too less but that's also because their batch size is less and lesser people from there are opting for corporate firms nowadays. Point being, NUJS is not the best, not anywhere close to it.
If you know any other hacks to ease/simplify the enrolment process, please let me know.

You can't defend them in this regard. Only trollish comments can act as burnol if it's burning there, which I understand (I'm not from MNLU Nagpur) .
