Bump.

Also someone for the love of God - give an idea about actual A0 pay in Disputes/Corp?
Buffoon. That's the point. He sweared that he is interfering only where NLU D is concerned but otherwise he will not. But clearly he is interfering in a debate where his opinions have not been sought or rather he himself said he will not butt in.
If recruiters went by NIRF ranking then IIT Chennai would dominate over IIT Bombay. Guess what? NIRF doesn't matter.
Captain here, for the mandatory Nlu D is NOT AHEAD of Nalsar comment. Will fly now.
Another inflated report from a random unverifiable tweet. I wish every nlu would have done that. We would have left behind the Ivy League college already
It’s true that this year the placements have improved a lot - but is it that good?
Since i am initial years of practice, i can't afford Law books or Journal, does anyone know any sites that has pdf of Law books, (i can pay for some subscription if its not expensive)
Overall Perception Rankings (not specific to practice areas):

Top 3: AZB, SAM, Trilegal

Next 2 (in top 5): CAM, KCO

Remaining 5 (in top 10): Indus, JSA, Luthra (for now but soon may be replaced by LKS), S&R, Saraf
Gautam Saha is a brilliant lawyer. Don't just say random stuff for the sake of saying it. What stops a firm from expanding without jeopardizing on quality?
Try appearing for JAG too if you have decent marks. Never a harm
Cool nlu boss, now prepare snacks and get ready to brief the counsel who did law from Allahabad University.
AZB S/CAM Trilegal Indus are the new Tier 1's.

Maybe DSK Legal, after the merger last year. At least for their litigation division which grew multifold.
Now that Universities have started Zero day processes, what has the general trend been with respect to hiring across T1s? Is there an increase in intake across the board or are specific practice areas like disputes and TMT have a higher intake.
Hi,
I am a law graduate from the batch of 2018 at Jindal Global Law School. Have a fairly decent academic record. Sincerely wish to join somewhere and work. Preferably remote work. Any leads and suggestions?
Thank you!
L&L ka stipend is probably the highest equivalent with trilegal. Plus L&L pay double than what my friend has told. I'm sure he's not talking about a proper t1
Luthra will once again grab the top spot. See the deals they have been doing, thier ranking has once again peaked
Because that's literally the point of the book. Howard Roark is such an individualist that even the bodily integrity of others does not matter to him or to the lens of the book.
Ah, so you use private roads, private police, privately issued documents like passport, private drainage system and the like as well?
The best specialisation course at Jindal is “How to date and marry the gorgeous girl whose dad is a multicrorepati”. But remember to take part 2 of the course next semester as well: “How to get her dad to not shoot me”.
There is in fact one. It’s a first division distinction which isn’t exactly a gold medal but you get it. You are wrong here mister
As title suggests, key requirements:

Understanding non toxic partners

Core projects, not project finance.

Genuine inputs only. Thanks!
The Bangalore office is pretty chill but they hardly have any transactions. Most of the days they have petty drafting work and the associates don't come to the office. If you want a relaxed environment, it's a great place. Not so much for career growth.
Conservative Hybrid Fund MFs, Decent gains and less risk exposure as well. I plan on investing in the same for a year atleast and switching to full equity investments post that offc contingent to market situation.
Aaye look - you gotta be from the top 3% of your batch. Then you will be shortlisted and then there is Watson glaser. NLIU has been not able to bag foreign law firms for quite a few years now. Maybe you will be the one
They had promised 2k as a stipend to NLS students but have not paid yet. The interns had to mail 2-3 times in order to get the certificate
Not really! Perfect grammar is absolutely non-negotiable in T1. You make a single grammar mistake in your Cover Letter while applying for a position and you will probably be rejected! So, be mindful of what you write.
You don't need prior knowledge for studying any course other than science. What they teach in 11 and 12 can easily be learnt within a couple of weeks
NLUD doesn't get any such preference from any law firm in the whole world.
You use products that come from people who use such public amenities.
No NLU grad currently working in Indian academia has been a professor for ten years so as to qualify for the position.
It is. There are several partners who pay attention towards helping interns learn, a rarity among indian law firms.
Wait for it. NLUs will continue to fill vacant seats for up to 3 months at least even after the semester begins. Keep following their websites. You may be able to get in even with a lower rank if that happens. Several people do drop out of the PG programme.
Godmann bias negative against patna. This condescending attitude wont take you to place. Even arguendo, nuals too is low ranked tier nlu.
When did CNLU came in tier 3 it was always in Tier 2. It was a negative bias towards bihar or patna. That lead to it. They have decent faculty, placement , library mooting achivement etc
We have a pretty good record in mooting and get invites for almost all of the competitions
This is spot on. But people from the old top 3 will say that domicile quotas are good for the college and don’t affect quality.
Is there any source or breakdown or additional info you can cite regarding those figures (including what you classify as T1?)
Can you tell me how does a jindla llm help? It could be very helpful .thanks
What work do HRs at law firms do. Afa I understand they don't really make hiring decisions even for internships. Desi
Yes u'r right. No need of any authentic report any folk can assume how railway is most corrputed body by taking forceful tips, selling overpriced eatble items openly, pathetic service even on paying much amount.
I hope that the faculty at CNLU have already their service regulations since FM never provided service rules to our faculty members.
Purely based on last year's numbers- 10-12 (depending on college)
I can show you a dozen people from tier 3 colleges working with top seniors. People like you spread misinformation everywhere. Get out of your NLU/ Non NLU bubble. Half the top lawyers in the country went to shit colleges.
Its been a month almost. Who to speak to? The HR people have stopped responding to calls/messages
quals - humanities student
hi! admitted to nluo through vacant seats. was alloted the bballb course.
i have ZERO idea about accounts/commerce...will I be able to cope?
also, do profs assume prior knowledge of the subject(s)?
PLEASE RESPOND! thank you!
IBC work has spiraled down. Don't join an IBC team. There is also not much fees unless a big mandate comes, which is rare.
I have seen people writing here that a lot of hires leave after a year or two after working in a tier 1 or tier 2 firms. Where do they work after that? Chambers? In house? Independent? Quit law?
Prof. Kamal Jeet Singh, Prof. Purvi Pokhariyal, Prof. VK Ahuja, Prof. Anil Variath are a few among vying for the post.
This is a wrong information.

In fact, other two in panel were Prof Kamal Jeet Singh from Cuttack and Prof Anil Variath, NLU, Mumbai.
I think it’s been restored now. Can you please share what was posted?
I was expecting Faizan Mustafa to join, but it’s likely that there will be a delay so he joined CNLU instead. Anyway, the appointment must be done on merit and like Sudheer Krishnaswamy an NLU grad must be appointed.
The NALSAR kids were lazy wokes relying on loud rhetoric and heckling rather than reasoned debate. They should have invited an older, mature alum to moderate it, or a wise professor.
Answer is in the question: Gen Y. The last generation to have some sense.
Depends on which college you study in. Most organisers are biased when it comes to awarding students of a certain college. Please specify which college you are currently enrolled in.
Or do they have to work hard for it? Or do they prefer to pursue different paths in law, like another firm, their own practice, politics or academia? Is nepotism in India far worse?
I've heard that the work is good with some really great seniors. Does anyone have any idea regarding the pay at A0?
Which best PPO scene are you talking about. The ‘24 numbers are a shadow of the prev batch and day zero scenes also look so gloomy
Contrary to what you might think, people grow out of their colleges once they start working. If they don't, its just them being childish.

Om shanti!
id say Noida and Mumbai are the only decent ones, with Mumbai being the best. However, Mumbai ofc you'll have to spend a lot more for rent and travel. In that case, you should pick Noida.
Any good read on how cooperative department functions in states like Maharashtra and Gujarat? Why are cooperative ministry officials so powerful? Why do so many cabinet ministers have background of involvement in a cooperative society / federation?
People with less than 50 lpa, do you prefer ITR3 or ITR4? Why?
Law day Ka Raja, Pehli Internship Mei Bhi Mil Jaata Hai PPO. You need to have the work ethics.
Not only better infra but also better faculty, better admin, better opportunities for studying abroad and placements that are just as good for the top 40.
Hackers thought of hacking nlu Odisha’s placement cell page. But seeing the inflated reports produced by the college , the hackers tried to teach hnlu a lesson
SAM is literally not having slots open ever, how are y'all getting internships
generative AI can never match a well researched analysis in law, simply because original texts are so scattered, which require human intelligence.
I have heard that they have the best hostels? Is this correct?
Yes. They shortlisted a complete nerd from my college with zero extra curriculars.
No surprises. Linklaters will naturally prefer the Big 3 NIRF NLUs (NLSIU, NALSAR, NLUD).
Not ‘only’ at grades - but predominantly yeah. So you need to justify if your grades are low
In this we have solidified the tier-1 structure. Whip those lower nlus who come even near us
ALSD equally difficult as clat? And this has not been marked trollish yet? What a joke
Plot twist: NUJS advertises a new VC next year. The TMC chooses Faizan Mustafa because of his anti-BJP credentials.
You can never disrupt this. But you can dream of it in LI for sure
Cool , now send your nlu boss the reports which you are drafting. It’s getting late and a lot of work has to be done
Fair ranking?

1. NLSIU (Sudhir)

2. JGLS (Rajkumar)

3. CNLU (Faizan)

4. HNLU (VCV)

5. NLUD (Bajpai)
Lol frustrated amity and ipu grads are comparing their own entrances with clat. No wonder why so many of them are hating against nlus nowadays
Not really - this year the market is awful for sure literally in this exact position rn and I did my LLM from a T6.
