Heard that campus placements were especially rough for the 2024 batch across all NLUs this year!
I had been here around 2013, it was a much different place back then
Finding myself in the web whether to join sr chambers or go have a law firm lol ps already done 3-4 tier 1 internship.
Eventually I wanted to litigate but scared whether when leaving the sr chambers will I get my own clientele. Whether I will be able to sustain a family and cope up with all the materialistic things that one buys : luxary cars watch’s high end purses
FOr audi, maybe after 10-15 years
like many other global publications would unanimously show the topmost slot for ICUL/team in Investment Funds amongst all top age old law firms. This is no small feat for a rapidly growing young firm making space for itself in such quick time and which cant be without paying the best, having best team/culture/large global clients.
And if one happens to be on Linkedin, it would also show a number of its past members in top brit firms.
So I am smoking the right sutta & am not sharing it with you 🤣make peace with their success 😇
1. If you can, speak to a nutritionist to see how you can alter your diet to lose some weight. A keto diet, if done properly and under supervision, actually does help with weight loss, but don't think you'll suddenly drop 5 kg in a couple of weeks. It takes some months and has the potential to cause health issues in some people (my wife and I tried Keto for 6 months some years ago. We lost weight but also ended up with severe dehydration);
2. Try and stop eating junk food altogether save, perhaps, on weekends as cheat days. When I started my first law firm job ~ 20 years ago, the only choice for a meal when you working late nights (and there were MANY of those) was junk food and I'm still trying to get rid of all that fat. Thanks to Zomato/Swiggy there's hundreds of healthier choices these days.
3. Reduce carbs and increase proteins (for e.g., cut back on sugar, potatoes and maida and increase meat intake or greens (if you're a vegan/vegetarian). However, if you are reducing carbs, make sure you're hydrating sufficiently (water, not coke/juice/tea/coffee);
4. Eat a big breakfast, a medium size lunch and a small dinner. If possible, eat dinner before 7 pm and then eat nothing till breakfast the next day.
5. Avoid random snacking. If you can't avoid snacking (no shame in that - I'm one of those people), then reduce your main meal intakes and switch to nuts, black gram, sprouts, makhanas for snacks.
6. Keep up the swimming / other regular exercise. Even if it doesn't help you lose weight, it will keep you fit and limber.
One - he's not saying anything new. This is the same old drivel that the rich and the privileged spew in every other country.
Two - Pay your fucking taxes and be proud that you do. This guy will never take anybody to a govt hospital because he can afford private hospitals and private medical care. But guess what? Your tax money makes sure that government hospitals can pay to care for millions of underprivileged people who cannot afford any of this.
Look through the smoke and mirrors please.
K Bye
You will be interacting with a0s to a2s almost all the time. Hardly ever with SAS. So chill.
Please don't crash this website 🙏
I am an old timer, I come here just to know what my juniors talk. I still remember Legally India in 2011, before making Partner at a law firm commenting and laughing out loud.
We could launch a project to preserve this website.
@Moderator - Please show threads like this to Kian.

I request my seniors, herein to please, please advise me according to my situation as stated:
- I want to practise, nothing else (in the longer run)
- I want to become a designated Senior counsel, want to start early.
- I want to go to a firm only because of money for 3-4 years, and then join a senior counsel. The problem is, till when I would follow money? After 3-4 years, I might be a senior associate, might make double. Would it be possible for me to leave that and get back to a chamber again for far less than what I could make at a law firm? I doubt.
- I can negotiate with chambers for 40-50k.
- I don't need to look after my family at its entirety. A slight contribution will suffice. However, I need money to lead a dignified life in a metro city, not mere animal existence.
Thank you in anticipation!
You'd get plenty of time in CLC to intern. Teachers aren't strict about attendance and if you inform them beforehand about the internship, some would even be willing to co-operate with you. People used to miss a month's worth of classes for internships in a semester and were still able to take the exams.
despite all of this, he had the gall to construct a huge bungalow in the uni for himself and shift in. which was then stopped due to protests :)
he used to be a prof at nliu, and he has not stopped talking about it since, so yeah, theres that. did nothing for dsnlu, i dont think he will for nliu either

The equity partners all hate each other entirely. It is so comedic at times that they can't even bear to sit with each other at lunch and come sit with associates while gossiping like aunties!
Everyone here seems to hate it as well. Associates, seniors, principal associates even RPs are cribbing all the time about poor salaries and no retreats. I don't know if it's normal for your team seniors to casually take headhunter calls during the day while at work!
Work quality is so bad everyone is just doing diligence diligence and more diligence! Even RP's are just doing diligence work.
The building is so run down and stinky. They are actually sending admin emails asking people not to clog up toilets because this old building can't handle it and causes smells.
I feel like I have fumbled a big opportunity to come here and be underpaid and overworked by a bunch of oldies who are too busy fighting each other 🥲🥲🥲. JSA legacy what happened to it????
I am currently in XLRI Jamshedpur HR section, pursuing an MBA.
During a chance encounter with a Professor, I casually enquired about my concern for placement, as I come from a law background, unlike 99% of my Bcom, BBA and BTech batchmates.
The professor told me that I would, in all probability end up getting placed in the HR team of a tier 1 law firm; and that Law+HR MBA is quite a unique combination.
So, wonderful people of LI, what's a law firm HR's life like? What's a typical day routine, and how much do they make?
Will I be able to afford an Audi? If yes, in how many years?
Thanks
😘😘
As anyone with a passing interest in Greek drama would tell you, the Greeks used the concepts of the "Alazon" (the vain braggart) and the "Eiron" (the underwhelming counter to the Alazon) to simulate a direct dialogue between the characters and the audience.
Dialogue that is "of Eiron", or "ironic", is meant to talk to two audiences at once, but both within the same person. The first hears the dialogue, but does not understand what it means. The second, on hearing it, is aware of the first audience's lack of awareness, and is also aware of the underlying layers to that dialogue. Irony is a little like quantum superimposition- if an object can be in two places at once in quantum physics, then irony assumes that two memetic units are conveyed, even though only a single meme is immediately apparent.
Sadly, it seems that only one audience exists within you.
( for those curious about economics: profit margin in boba tea is very high because of the korean fad, 50rs per cup and my cart is located near south campus delhi where the genz footfall is very high)
Getting a job at a law firm is not the end of the world after 6 months around 1 lac pm will be passive money for me.

Best way is shut down atleast 80 percent of the law colleges and focus on the rest. This should increase the demand and consequently, the pay. This is what happens with the other professions.

Is the centre still active? Curiously, the then MoS external affairs minister was chief guest at the India-China conference, which was pre-Covid. It shows just how much has changed! In fact, now that the BJP is accusing the opposition of being Chinese stooges, the opposition can point to the 2019 conference and ask why the Modi government sent a minister there!
1. Donate 4 hours to acad
2. Donate 3.5 hours to clat

I feel these are legitimate questions because Kapil Sibal is 75 and Salve and Singhvi are in their 60s. Sibal will be out of the picture in another few years and then Salve and Singhvi. There will be a huge vacuum by 2035 or so.
He was a Professor at NLIU Bhopal.
He should prove a good vice chancellor.
For the AM - I use a face wash made of Municipal laws. Then i apply the constitution serum on my face so that it retains a facade of integrity. I top it off with a Companies Act sunscreen.
For the PM - i use a deep cleaning facewash made of arbitrary laws. Then I apply the UAPA serum and moisturize with Ordinances and delegated legistlation.
Every Sunday i do a deep chemical peel with amendments.
Ciao. <3
Total 47 students appeared for the Day Z
A decent game, is my opinion
To get a job, especially in this "recession" year, just try to intern long term in some mid sized law firm and try to get a job as a paralegal for now. You can later be promoted to A0.
