We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Better save some money and live a simple life instead of getting a sense of fulfillment from such needless material things.
BTS is popular only in certain NLUs, like NUJS and HNLU.
1. "I own X brand watch worth Rs 1 lakh and am such a stud".
2. "Rich kids doing an LLB at JGLS are dumbos and nepo babies, NLU kids like me are the real deal".
4. "Don't study for an LLM abroad and waste money. Just join a law firm straight after graduation, like me."
If yes, then a common element binding the three are a combination of jealousy against the old rich and a secret craving for money and social validation.

It is sad that stalwarts like Salve, Jethmalani, Singhvi, etc. have not been as prolific in terms of promoting their juniors. Mostly reserved to odd successful juniors here or there. The profession is turning more nepotistic.
GSanks, Rao, Khambata, Nakul Dewan, Shyam Divan, Datar, Pachnanda are some names whose chambers hold promise considering how the majority of their juniors are doing. Of course, getting into their chambers is itself tough.
There will be several stakeholders to hold the exam from the 2025 exam. Maybe we can see the consortium itself offering to hold it in different languages. But for now the 2024 exam will be held in English

Expect changes in the CLAT 2024 itself, since GoI has already agreed for CLAT to be held in multiple languages.

Yes early graduation is definitely possible but you also need to have stellar grades. Itโs not a cakewalk. Over the course of history only 4 people opted for early grad and only 3 have been able to make it
I am glad that they didnt select me now. At a much better and healthier place now.

Reading the question is an art!
His juniors have achieved great heights in the profession. One I know is a sitting high judge, Mr Rajshekhar Rao and Mr Siddharth Aggarwal are very successful senior counsels
They should have been more tolerant.
Waste of time if online.

Unfortunately, you seem to have no knowledge about why this protests are taking place. So, it would be great if you keep your opinions to yourself.

Donโt you feel awful admitting youโre such a bad hire that they made a mistake taking you?
You might not agree with why he went down the boat road - but he faces a do or die situation in that pandemic year , his was the only institution to at would be financially impacted by not admitting students , and the clay consortium had postponed clat some three to four times. Itโs ridiculous. If he hadnโt gone his own way- those guys donโt care they wouldnโt have done clat that year at all.
I honestly think nls should just have itโs own exam and pull out of clat - itโs a silly stupid exam thatโs badly done.
He lost in the SC on procedure- so okay they refunded the money- not all of it but some of it. The money they didnโt refund - went to paying examiners and contractors and test centres. Who do you propose should pay them ? Should they starve because of a Supreme Court order ? If you want Sudhir to pay them personally for something he did as head of an institution - which was in the best interest of the institution - Iโd have to think you just want him to suffer because youโve developed some parasocial relationship.
The logic for the virtual convo was the same thing- stuff was paid out for a real convocation - and the institution needed the money to survive. Yโall donโt realise how fragile nlsโs finances were when he took over. And he works for the university - not for you.
If youโre gonna accuse him of corruption - which LI wouldnโt allow if they had any integrity, they only allow these allegations against one person. Then the onus is on YOU to prove that he saw one red cent of any of that money.
I have interned last week at SAM, Mumbai. Wanted to ask when PPOs are usually granted , 4rth or 5th year. Lets say the team is one of these- comp, ECM.
There was an uproar in the campus when two boys from EPFO training programme in GNLU attended the freshers of 2028 batch and made some extremely misogynist comments during their songs, shayaris and stand up. There was also a performance that targetted a particular minority community. Literally nothing happened after that.
I will be interning with Saraf and partners in few months at noida office.
Can anyone share updated reviews of corporate team, hiring status, call backs and package etc.
Thanks!
A couple years into the profession and Iโm early starting to value integrity in lawyers as a big thing and something I want to learn as a young lawyer. Who are lawyers (transactional prefers ) that you and your local lawyer community believe are the epitome of integrity?
But I donโt like the locality or the building or the neighbors. Iโm considering shifting to a more upscale living arrangement. Options are:
1. L&T Crescent Bay
2. Ashok Towers
The latter seems laid back and routine (but homely, with high class gentry). The former seems hip and happening. I donโt mind paying a larger fraction of my retainer for rent if it means I can live in a better place.
Any other suggestions are also welcome!
Interesting how we are turning a blind eye to dog attacks in India, by contrast. Why canโt we declare the street dog breed as a dangerous dog and cull them all? Now that the UK has done it we have a precedent. Or will the SC butt in and strike it down?
Exceptional!
