Assess any firm on the following parameters: (A) deals done by the firm in last 2-3 years; (B) rankings as per various prestigious accolades - to give a fair idea about the current market standing; (C) compensation it offers - this is relevant because compensation offered is in sync with (A); (D) the attrition rate of the team, and (E) real work exposure in area you want to grow.
Make your decision through a detailed examination. Talks to peers who had worked there, reach out to them. Navigate through the website and LinkedIn page of firms, as they give you a fair idea of (A). And then make the decision.
All the best.

Law School’s achievement of churning out 25 scholars has been sensational no doubt 🫶.
BUT
Speaking of world record - Harvard dominates every other university by a huge margin. So I really hope you are not trolling 🤌
https://www.rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk/media/44935/2020-rs_number-of-winners-by-institution.pdf
Also, please tell me something guys: How come these Harvard kids aren't saying a word about the Chinese occupation of Tibet, the Turkish occupation of Northern Cyprus, the Pakistani occupation of Baluchistan and the Azerbaijani occupation of Nagorno Karabakh? Because it's not cool to do so? You won't get as many Insta likes or TikTok followers if you champion the cause of Baluchi Muslims or Tibetan Buddhists or Armenian Christians?
There are a whopping 25 names, which is a massive number. No other NLU has reached even 1/4 that number. Furthermore, in three years there were TWO Rhodes scholars and in one year there were THREE Rhodes scholars. Another record. I understand that Rhodes has got more competitive in recent years, but even in the last 10 years there have been 4 from NLSIU. Still # 1.
Now, suppose NLSIU is barred from the Rhodes scholarship for the next 10 years. Even then, will NALSAR or GNLU overtake the number of 25? I don't think so. It will be like trying to score 50 runs in 1 over.
So the lead is just massive and will never be overtaken.
I also wonder if 25 Rhodes scholars in law could be an Asia-wide record, ahead of NUS Singapore? Or even a world record? Does anyone know?
I think this is the key reason for the 100% perception score in NIRF.
there are 1.6 billion Muslims spread over so many countries and the Middle East is immensely wealthy. They, through their sheer numbers are bound to have influence. There are many Muslim majority countries.
In contrast, there are only 16 millions Jews around the world, with 7.3 mil in USA and 7 mil in Israel, the rest insignificantly spread across European countries. Still, with only one Jewish majority country, the Jews have disproportionate power and sway across the most influential economies and governments.
Think about it - we have nearly a billion Hindus, but do you think we hold any sort of real power over institutions and firms and universities in other countries? When something "Hinduphobic" happens, at most a person at the place concerned will raise a hue and cry, the RW twitter bots will endlessly tweet and spread information about it, and then everyone will go back to sleep but that will pretty much be it. We can learn a lot from Jews, honestly.

I expected Aries in the list, as they are known to be extroverted and headstrong. I'm surprised to see Cancer though, as it's the opposite of that. Also surprised to see Leo missing.
I wonder what Zodiac sign some fo our big lawyers are?
Try something like this!
Honestly, there is no comprehensive book and better to read blogs
Nope. He wasn’t the sole editor of that journal.

Conde Nast Travellers top restaurants list for India is out. Which ones do you guys agree with? And which ones are great for networking with peers, clients, and general lifestyle (BOM/DEL/BLR)? I love Veronica and Bombay Canteen - great for an associates' dinner after a long week. I try to do 2-3 nights out a month at these joints (work drinks or first dates). Wasabi at the Taj is of course for special nights (a major deal closing on the firm/client tab or if its a serious date; 2-3 times a year).
Folks from other cities feel free to chime in, BOM folks would love to hear your thoughts as well!
Surprised to see that such smaller firms are offering more compensation than the so-called Tier 1 firms. Salary structure of all the big firms need a big revision.

Also, US law schools have large clinical faculties and students are graded on practical projects, so what Sudhir said about top colleges emphasising theoretical principles only is patently false.
Happy to know what NLSIU students think about this. Do you want theoretical education only?
Cheers!!
Seems relatively new, would love to hear your thought if I should submit my manuscript here or NLS BLR. IndiaCorpLaw only prefers notes upto 1500 words and hence is not an option.
Not possible to do engineering work without a technical degree and maths/physics knowledge.

5) Huge divisions emerging within the left. Barkha Dutt and Rohini Singh condemn Hamas. Both being called Islamophobic by a Pakistani activist.

How is this “against men” ?
So what's going on? Is this something that started post 2014 and post 2016, with the rise of Modi and Trump? Is this the social media echo chamber phenomenon? Or is something fundamentally wrong with Gen Z?
I have just recently completed my internship with a tier 1 firm in a niche team. The associates gave me a lot of work and told me personally that my work was really good and really helpful. But HR communications pe pata chala ki feedback form mein toh ulta likha hai when coming to callbacks.
Why do y'all do this? Agar kaam acha nahi hai toh boldo na when we follow up every day for feedback. Why lie? If I knew my work wasn't good, I would've atleast worked on the flaws? Also this gives false hopes and expectations of assessments and PPOs. Just be frank please.

3. Growth aspects
4. Internship and PPO policies
I looking to join a good AOR chamber which does a mix of Supreme Court, High Court and Tribunal work.
It is relatively easier to find out which senior offices are good, but it is very difficult and vague to figure out which AOR offices have good work and also act as good mentorship places.
It would be great if people can share their experience and drop some names of some of the best AORs, so people atleast know where to apply and the first barrier is atleast removed
Gays have no chik chik like laudiya, its just two launde who soet of stuff together. No extra emotional rona.
