My ranking:

1. Sudhir, NLSIU

2. Ranbir Singh, NALSAR and NLUD

3. MP Singh, NUJS

4. Menon, NLSIU and NUJS

5. Mitra, NLSIU and NLUJ
I don’t think you are from NLSIU. You sound like a non-NLSIU product jealous of the excellent things that Sudhir has done, owing to which the gap between NLSIU and other law schools has increased.
quoting someone else from another thread - a ranking without methodology is no better than reading tarot cards
Thank you for the quote and the credit. doffs hat
In terms of academic heft:

Chimni (NUJS) > VS Mani (GNLU) > MP Singh (NUJS) > Sudhir (NLSIU)

As an institution builder:

Menon (NSLIU and NUJS) > Ranbir (NALSAR and NLUD) > Faizan (NALSAR) > Sudhir (NLSIU)
Who in their right mind would downvote a basic question seeking info like this one?
5 years. Bimal Patel took over for the next 10 and Shanthakumar has been at the helm since then for nearly 5 years.
Shanta has done very well since he took over minus a few hiccups here and there. Potential addition to list of greats.
Don't forget NLUO. Whatever is good about that college was born during his time.
I doubt if you are an NLUO student as you cannot even spell her name correctly.
If you cannot comprehend why it's Bice and Bed instead of Vice and Ved, respectively, trust me, you haven't lived NLUO enough. Go out and talk to people, talk to admin staff and you will get it facche!
He had an overall good influence on the growth of the institution but he was not a good VC. Totally student unfriendly, authoritarian, the centrepiece of many controversies himself. He was well connected to then CM now PM, which im sure has helped.
You're ridiculous for even saying this, unless ofc you are his alt. I was a student during his tenure and anyone from across those 10 batches can tell you this is untrue. GNLU grew despite the admin at the time, not because of them.
I think this would be the most accurate list of five. Though if the numbers are ranking, then I'd place FM at 4 and Sudhir at 5.
How's a "phase of expansion" without caring about how the job market or industry would respond something good for a university? Every NLU can start taking 4 times the students from tomorrow, how will that help?
Replace Venkata Rao with Faizan Mustafa and you have the perfect list.
Not including Faizan shows you're a right wing wala.
Including Sudhir shows that he's had too much of Red Bull.
