1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I do think you’ll have a good way to enter the B&F team if you go in house and actually work on key matters with the GC, but you are stuck in the industry.
The only way to make the work stress worth it imo.

I gave CLAT PG for admission in LLM course in India. I have been allotted NALSAR in first round of allotment today. I might get into NLS with my rank. Which institution would be good considering goal of entering into academics? Whether I should exercise float option or confirm NALSAR?
By culture- All bad
Any law student/lawyer worth their salt would know that India has never even remotely considered the idea of parliamentary supremacy since it goes against the spirit of constitutionalism which has evolved here since Independence, critical to which is judicial review. Despite that, they applauded and grovelled near the guest. These students at NLUJ are not only without a speck of brains, but also lack any self-esteem and self-respect.
Unfair to delete all the relevant comments at the request of partners

It does not verify any data.
It does not reveal details of methodology and how to address the flaws pointed out, which goes against any research cred.
Basically, any of APDs juniors.

Any guesses?
Comparatively, they give you better gradings, which makes it easier for placements, where your grades are crucial. That is why, you see disproportionate number of students from BCOM/BBA getting through for placements.

2) Girls hostel has a mix of single occs and double occs. As a first year you will most likely get a double occ. All girls hostel rooms have attached washrooms.
3) Library is great. Quite big and will have most of the books that you need. However, you will never get the book you want because somebody else would've already taken it so figure out the online library system ASAP.
4) Not an issue. If you speak Hindi you will be just fine.
No real tips. You have 5 years on the campus so you will learn everything you have to in due course of time. Just try to be as involved as possible in all the activities in your first 2 years so that you can really figure out what you want to do from the third year onwards. There is no dearth of opportunities and most people end up never utilising the resources. Try and befriend some seniors (most of us are more than happy to help you) in order to help you navigate through the first year or so. That's about it. Good luck and look forward to seeing you on campus!
So I came across the fact that certain persons can can claim TDS paid at the end of the financial year.
As you know, most corp law jobs are considered a retainership position and a TDS of 10% is deducted on gross salary for rendering professional services. (Section 194J of Income Tax Act).
1. However I'm confused whether a person earning more than 5L can claim 100% TDS by filing his ITR at the end of the year?
2. Also this 5L amount threshold for eligibility is gross or net (after TDS deduction)
Would appreciate a clarification on this doubt and any sources to read upon,
Thanking you
I don't yet have the courage tbvh to go with law path.
I will see and update here.
Clearly, she also knows how better NLUJ and NLU-D are than dump-pot GNLU

1) How are the streams allotted here? My preference would be BA>BSW>BBA>BCOM
2) how’s the situation in the girls hostel? Are rooms double sharing or triple sharing?
3) how’s the library there?
4) Being a non-gujarati speaking individual, would it create any hindrance in local life in Gujarat?
And if there is any other tip, things to know, be aware or wary of? Please let me know!
Thank you! Have a nice day ahead!
If they don't do it on their own, you can politely request. I don't remember the last time I sat in a non-emergency row exit seat.
By dressing well, I mean - non flashy, ironed and clean clothes (including Footwear).
Divide and rule.
I am OP.
P.S. Please do not take any offence. I do not intend to mock or belittle either of the two's contributions.
p.s. I am one of those who had commented about IDIA in your earlier post.

Are you really a lawyer/ law student?
Can I submit a unsigned clat admit card? Please help as I panicking here
I will be uprooting myself from my native place and going to Delhi. Though I am politically rich but not financially rich. I will have to really think about survival and finances few years down the line.
What can I expect in a Senior chamber ?
I want to thank the people who have told me about IDIA. I have reached out to them and I am on my way to getting the scholarship.
I have to make the final call. But I have a few queries.
I am 21 as of December 2023. I have already completed a UG degree this year.
I come from a poor family. My father earns 5-6K per month. We live in a remote village in WB.
If I start preparing for CLAT and AILET 2025 and if successful in them, I will be joining a law program at the age of 22 which means I will be graduating at 27 (BO'30). So this is a struggle of 7 years or so.
After law school, I am thinking of getting into Litigation as I don't think I would be able to work in a law firm job as the latter is very hectic. But, the thing is that litigation pays very little which will make it very hard to survive let alone support my family.
I am the eldest son in my family, so I have pressure to earn some income ASAP and support my family. We are a family of 5.
My parents are in their 40s but due to lack of health facilities, they have some mild health problems and I also have some mild health problems.
This is the last opportunity for me to pursue any higher studies.
What do you guys think should I take the scholarship and pursue law OR try something else that will give me some monetary return in very little time (1-2 years) so that I start supporting my family?
Please provide some genuine advice.
Thanks in advance.
Clat counseling happened today, i have been allotted TNNLU, i don't think I have a chance in tier 2 nlu, so what should I choose between tier 3 nlu and slsp
Keep in mind that I'm a tamilnadu domicile plus BC candidate
- MNLU: First of all, it's not in Mumbai proper and secondly you won't have the time/money to partying in Mumbai anyway.
- GNLU: It's a dry state, bro. Also, Gandhinagar is not the same as Ahmedabad.
- NUJS: Kolkata has become a bad city because of the TMC government. Let Mamata go and then we'll see.
Also, there are some really nice hangout spots in Jodhpur, many catering to foreign tourists. The 5 star hotels here are among the best in India. You also have lots of nice places and events on Rajasthan, like the Jaipur Lit fest, Pushkar etc.
But make no mistake and don't be fooled by this niceness, they are as selfish as any other partner. The only difference is that they pretend to care for you, while the other partners don't even pretend. Which one is better or worse is a personal choice.
As far as remuneration is concerned, there is zero transparency, they pay great bonuses to some and crap to others. Your total payout will be good only if you hit 150% bonus, otherwise your salary is certainly below tier 1 average (and sadly, SAM average). But that is so much on partner discretion, as an associate you're practically helpless. If you're the obedient suck up types, you'll probably do well. If you have a voice of your own, they will punish you for it. They punish competence and courage, they reward obedience and cowardness.
Moreover, the team is top heavy and beyond a point they don't want people to grow and expect you to leave. The team is in fact thriving off people quitting. It's in their best interest that you quit once you reach a certain level and they will do things to push you over the edge.
Now you can make an informed decision.
Also what are the figures for other departments like Banking, Competition, Projects, etc
It would be great if someone could explain what is meant by commercial aspect of a transaction and how to develop this understanding?
Do you see the logic of your question?
What a farce! /s

Here is an account of an IDF head, whose only defence is that they are only killing Hamas, despite all news and evidence to the contrary. Their another favourite defence is that UK/USA have killed more people in retaliation in the past.

Over 29000 bombs have been dropped by Israel so far, but of course in 'self-defence;

UN personnel have also been killed by IDF, but of course even they were shielding the Hamas and hence deserved death,

Many droppers end up at T1 (mostly droppers to be honest), but some dont do.
Just sit with your thoughts and your realistic understanding of your abilities and then assess whether you are cut out to be in the game or not.
Is the moot happening? Why is there so much delay this time in notifying the moot?
