(1) What is the growth potential of this practice in India in the next 10 years? (2) Do you expect the practice to expand out of Mumbai (to Delhi or Bangalore)? (3) How easy is it to switch from investment funds to M&A/GC/PE&VC roles? (4) Do PE firms look to hire in-house lawyers with only investment funds experience?
Would appreciate honest answers! :)

Thanks

Kind of planning to do the same. Do you want to connect?
Is it?
Why would one show black money on google.
i’m from a top nlu and have been attending court proceedings from the first year itself because of my inherent interest in the proceedings that follow, also to add- i’ve completed the cs course apart from that mandatory articleship, i pursued cs only from the knowledge pov and the fact that i’d be better equipped with certain laws as a litigator and that has helped me stay ahead of the crowd here in certain semesters owing to just that
my areas of interest include constitution,ip,tax(direct and indirect),commercial, competition law
please drop in your valuable suggestions, much needed
ps: area of practice shall be delhi, office renting charges and all isn’t an issue.
If you have to, get a prescription from a reputed doctor and get its sister drug specifically manufactured by the same manufacturer. Even then, I'd wait a few years till the long term effects are clear.
Weight loss is a product of diet and exercise, start somewhere. Obesity is not a terminal condition that you need to pop the first pill that comes into the market. I am also pretty overweight, and the thought did cross my mind, but I actually went and researched on this.
Wait for a while to see how this plays out, in the meanwhile keep doing brisk walks during the work day whenever you can (post lunch, evening and so on) and sat sundays go for gym. I know I have started the process of weight loss, and the inertia to go the gym and to take out time for it is pretty high, but for your own health's sake you have to do it.
You take ozempic once, you might lose weight, MAY get the side effects and there's a chance you may just gain back the weight if you don't fix the diet.
Or can you please refer law firms in Delhi, for 1st ever experience. Looking forward to a genuine reply! Thankyou.
Each court has atleast 60 matters listed in cause list.
18 courtrooms * 600 = 9000 advocates visit per day excluding interns and party in persons.
500 (throughout the say in each day) includes = minimum 10 to 20 senior advocates/AORs, 100 regular advocates and 350+ juniors. And many others visit as advocates from different parts of these country.
Appearance each day - 100*18= 1800 lawyers, most come for adjournments giving updates etc.
Chennai is known for local firms. National practices (scam, jsa etc) has small offices which almost act like the representative offices they have in Singapore.
It makes sense for middle class peeps to go crazy for these firms as they are literally catapulting them to UMC. From around a lakh or even less a month to potentially 5-6.
So what is the reason for UMC to run after firms?
I just heard a classmate who interned in October in Bengaluru got a call-back. Should I have any hope or accept this as a failure?

Now they are using these so called independent bodies to raid residences, and people still trust CBI due to how much respect they had gotten during congress days, but how come no bjp scams coming to light, you think about it.
Also Constitution clearly says tax money will not be used to fund a particular religion, there are various other communities in india, if this goes on, people will sell all their belongings and land and leave the country
2. In the above cases 3 months would be the normal expectation or if you find a job sooner you may leave
3. you may be given 1 month's notice if your work is hopeless or the team refuses to work with you because of communication issues or some other issues (such as dishonestly, refusal to work etc)
4. In some cases you are given 7 days of performance notice because your work is atrocious, especially if you are a new hire and it is clear you will never square up
5. people are fired on the spot with 0 notice if they made horrible mistakes that led to serious loss of clients or the client lost money or cases or your partner lost face - these are terminations with cause so require no notice period anyway and they can start a disciplinary proceeding if you insist on due process which is certainly no good for you
Cheers
Here contacts and nepotism play crucial role.
Didn't you know about MBBS, really?
Or is there any one among them which is free from mathematical operations?
I won't pander to your ego. Who do you think you are??? A mere student who clearly desperately looks for respect which he doesn't get. I talked to a 5th yr student and he said i can call him by his name.
Of course, there is a separate issue of why NLSIU has not won Rhodes scholarships in the past few years. But that is possibly because they want to give other universities a chance, as NLSIU swept Rhodes in the 25 years preceding this period. It’s got nothing to do with Sudhir and the lean period started during Rao’s time.

No one attends classes in GLC and now they are against a day of public holiday.
Is it easy to shift from one company to another?
Is career progression very slow?

Pura zindagi bachi hui hai coaching material padhne ke liye. Do you think undergrad is the only time you'll buy coaching stuff? LLM shayad karoge uske baad New York bar ka material hai, India me Civil services doge uska infinite material hai, MBA/Judiciary sab ka saala sirf material hi material hai.
Isiliye relax. Enjoy life. Watch interesting youtube channels like - Johnny Harris, Oversimplified, Mohak Mangal, PradhanMantri (great to know Indian history after independence. 26 episode series) etc. Puri zindagi padi hai abhi coaching coaching khelne ke liye. There is no escaping the upcoming rat race. So, relax.
Waste time. Give yourself a breather. Watch Aspirants. Get inspired.
P.S. The greenery in Civil Lines benefits only those with bungalows. If you reside in an apartment complex and think there are plenty of public parks to choose from, you're sadly mistaken. There are two major public parks in the Civil Lines area:
1. The Ridge/Bonta (as people from CL would call it) - rife with monkeys and unsafe after 10 AM.
2. Qudsia Bagh - unsafe and frequented by Laila Majnus from Shahadra village and beyond openly doing activities at 8-9 AM. The park is littered with numerous nirodh boxes - which will leave you wondering!!
The truth about Civil Lines is this - it WAS a neighborhood of the old aristocratic class. 99.99% of them checked out eons ago. Some old and extremely affluent Baniya and Punjabi families are scattered here and there - most of which are on their way out. The only ones left are those with properties stuck in litigation or not well-off enough to move into something nearly as good in South Delhi/the suburbs. As of now, the only people moving into Civil Lines are mid/lower-tier old Delhi traders who have work in Old Delhi. Sure, the drop in demand coupled with cheap property rates is an opportunity for lawyers, but you'll find yourself isolated from almost all your friends. Plus, you'll be far from all the preferred, new-age good schools - a significant problem. Civil Lines is an oasis surrounded by the worst of Delhi from all sides. Not recommended at all. Avoid.
How to bag an internship, TC or a job offer with them if you are a Non-NLU law graduate in India?
Will a foreign LLM be helpful?
Is pay for IP sector significantly better than in India?
Can someone please offer some advice regarding this ?

Please seniors, give your perspective, I also have similar concerns.
While I couldn't say or do anything thinking about of his position, I have not been able to overcome the experience. I feel like raising the issue but then I do not even know what to do. I also realised this has happened to few other interns and everyone remained quite because as interns we do not even have any power fear retaliation.
Read up properly on 42 and 62 and related rules of the CA, understand the basic governance provisions.
Read template loan and ncd agreements plus SSAs and SHA (and articles which can be publicly accessed). Google any words you don’t understand - like Drag along or pre-emotive or rofo. Familiarise with documents in case you get staffed on a diligence you at least have base line familiarity. Pick on consent requirements for change of control or new investments or transfer of shares etc.
Read about esops under companies act.
Learn what fc gpr and fc trs filings are under fema.
TOPA - what’s a charge what’s a mortgage - different kinds.
Read your basic contracts act - indemnity guarantee offer acceptance provisions.
CA see what form you need to file for what action with mca.
Get familiar with manupatra for case law reasearch and improve your research summary skills.
And once you join:
Figure out a senior who works in that office and find out firm formatting requirements. Every mail and document you send to the person you work with from day 1 onwards needs to be super formatted (font, colour, size, justification, header footer and numbers). Make sure there are no typos and random capitalisation.
When sending emails make sure you set out background, query, analysis and conclusion (as separate heads) for research questions.
Can go on and on if you need to super prep.
But what I have said above would make you better than a standard A0.
Or do they give a sufficient notice period, during which you have to work and will get paid normally ?
