We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

What did happen is that certain students got their GPA bumped up during reevaluation, when papers were sent to universities outside NUJS, like Hazra and South City. That was always controversial.
Grade inflation/liberal marking et al have been happening consistently since the time of Menon. Many other unpalatable things happened (but never got recorded/documented) as well when the "golden trio" of Menon, Chimni and MPS reigned. Alumni including those in the faculty may disclose those to you.
Why single out SJA/students, especially when the reality is well-known? When SJA exposed PIB, it was widely known that a lot of additional information was hunted down by individual students. The faculty member who has lodged SH complaint against NKC was exposed by some of her colleagues. SJA and students had no covert/overt participation beyond what was available in the EC/AC records.
Don't just tell. Show what "bad things" have been done by NKC.
In my limited understanding, I think in India mostly topmost investigative journalists apart from lawyers/law students possess such knowledge. Therefore, legal Research is not just a Google search. At least for now.
Want good speakers, preferably Bluetooth.
I've been thinking jbl go 3, they perform well.
I also might need a radio in it, cause phone doesn't have radio app, but if there are external apps that work well with speakers, then no need for the speaker to have a radio in it.
Type Legal intern in the LinkedIn search bar. Now press enter. Now in the filters select Posts and past 1 month. Now scroll and scroll and scroll for the next 3hrs.
Did you understand what I said? Don't go to the jobs tab, search the posts tabβpost as in the thing you post directly as a status update on LinkedIn. Many HRs from top firms directly post on LinkedIn that they are looking for an intern. DM me directly.
So, scroll through the posts and not the Job portal. And you will find tons of opportunities. E.g.- yeh le -

Again. These are LinkedIn posts. So, you have to scroll the posts. All the best.
God you people just don't got no brains.
the assignment is unmarked
I cannot understand how he could afford all this politics at the expense of 50 lakh and did not know the law of the land and the Judgement of SC
1. Should I quit and try for another university
2. Should I request the university administration
3. Should I request the professor concerned
4. Should I still continue with the allotted advisor, since it's my own project the advisor doesn't matter.
5. Should I still continue with alloted advisor, but in between keep consulting the advisor that I wanted.
The reason I had this query is I've cleared a PhD entrance and have been told that the advisor I want is not available and I will be given another advisor who's field is indirectly related to my thesis. Really confused, since it's also a tier 1 NLU.
Please enlighten me if I am mistaken.
Also if you think this is not what legal research is please do enlighten me (serious) because I really want to learn.
Being from a non-tech background, you cannot get a job.
But this may not apply in NCR where people are generally more flashy and judgy.
Other than that, read Contracts thoroughly specially the illustrations because there's a high probability of asking case based questions.
Basics of Company law such as Chapters related to Shares, Debentures, Charges, Related Party Transactions, Beneficial Ownership, meetings, directors etc.
Basics of Transfer of Property Act- with special focus on mortgage and hypothecation.
These should be enough, but the main focus should be to thoroughly revise the CV and publications.
Secondly, you are again wrong that we know nothing about the IIT placement figures. They are public and apart from CS branch no other branches get crazy salaries.
Thirdly out of batch of 80 (my era) hardly 60 used to sit for placements. So a 20, 20 20 split between t1. T2 and in house jobs was easily possible. With a batch of 120 and 100 sitting for placements still 30 odd t1 jobs and another 10 can be other good t2 jobs (like indus or SnR that pay as well) can easily be done. Point being the average of 90 or 100 students of Nalsar will always be higher. Again TCS hiring freshers from IIT is again public news and a simple google search will tell you they start at no more than 30k per month. Litigation we are not even talking about. Brand recognition wise IIT is obviously more because most people like you are not having basic general awareness. But I dont care about brand awareness as long as I am making a great salary at T1 and not paying 40 percent of it as taxes.
I understand that quality of work done also matters but can the associates and partners here please provide a list of corp law topics that you wished had articles / publications on ?
If it were that easy everyone would be doing it.
People generalise. People stereotype. Itβs an evolutionary mechanism to do so. And pointing out that a greater proportion of llm students than llb students seem to be non serious to me is not generalising and saying they all are. Itβs explaining why a prevailing opinion exists- which is what the post asks. Why ask if you donβt want to be told ?
Joke of the century.
