Random allegation
The enquiries found nothing wrong or unusual- the recommended no action thats all
Nothing was found in enquiries
Have you considered that it could be because allegations were fake so not established by enquiries 😂
Take a case study. If you go to the website of a reputed private university (often the topic of acrimonious debates on this website), it proclaims, in BIG, BOLD, LETTERS, that it has been "RANKED NO. 1 PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN INDIA" for three years consecutively according to QS Ranking 2021, 2022, and 2023. Now you are bound to be amazed, even starry eyed seeing this. But here, folks, is a good instance of how many Universities inflate themselves. You will find a number of institutions using adept turns of phrasing and words to proclaim achievements. Which is why circumspection is key.
In the case under study, you might not realize that according to the latest QS Ranking 2024, this top, global. university, has disgracefully fallen from its coveted first rank position and now occupies Rank 6 in Private Universities and a much, much lesser rank when public universities are included.
And this is just one instance of how puffery practices generally pervade Indian educational institutions and enable the mushrooming, and false appraisal, of a number of sub-par institutions.
Moral of the story: do your due diligence, speak to seniors, connect with people, spend enough time knowing the truth and realities of a place, and make sure you have considered and assessed enough data before you jump into a decision. Neither are rankings a tell-all for education, nor are they completely irrelevant and baseless, but you should be aware that Universities often exaggerate claims and make, at times, wildly unsubstantiated assertions to promote admissions. All the best.
Students who didn’t want to sign waiver were given refunds, and this happened when NUJS decided to change names
Around 30 students who wanted refund were given it in fact, on NUJS expenses
PS: Please show me the official placement reports from NLUD or NALSAR. I'll wait.
Or, does one get taxed at 30% once one crosses 75L and does not have receipts for expenses.
For others - NFSU Law School has not increased its 2024-29 cohort tuition fees. It continues to be ₹65,000 per semester (as it was for the previous 2023-28 cohort). Moreover, after joining, the fee remains the same for the entire five years.
Biggest mistake of my life it’s literally a waaste of money
The case of NALSAR is actually quite interesting; the institute is constantly falling in most of the NIRF parameters since the inception of NIRF. In recent times, top faculty like Sid.C and VBR have also left NALSAR for greener pastures. SKDR has also proved to be more of a paper-pusher than a change leader, just like his predecessor FM, who, at least to give him his due, was a decent law communicator. Furthermore, NALSAR's poor location is getting worse by the year, as opposed to, say, Nagarbhavi, which transformed from a rather sleepy village distinguished only by ISEC in 1991 to a pretty decent suburb by around 2015. Shamirpet, by contrast, was an insignificant village in 1998 and has remained one ever since.
Personally, my own ranking of the NLUs + JGLS would be:
NLS/NLUD > NALSAR > NLUJ/NLIU > NUJS/GNLU > JGLS > All other NLUs/private law schools.
After 2 years, ive deduced that the law firm goal should be simple-
Do the least amount of work possible for the most amount of money possible, and ensure you are learning enough in the process.
A law firm won't think twice before kicking you out, giving you less money, dumping more work on you, and they really don't factor in your learning in any way at all. The reward for good work is more work, always, everywhere. Being the most dependable person in most cases, is not the best case- reasoning is simple, most law firm bosses have been trained to extract max work and maximise profits, and will only see you as resource no. 28383882....
Beat them at their own game.

The case was just not winnable
Where does it say non recognition made courses illegal? Which lovely teacher taught you law 🤦
99% of elite academic institutions? where did you pull that nonsense from? I clearly explained how students and faculty at other law schools here and abroad avoid the trap of empty performativity that you guys dont. Im neither male nor from an NLU- you again choose to disregard what I have to say because of presumed identity- not a very marxist thing to do. an identitarian woke thing to do.
that last sentence is the online version of a kid sticking fingers in his ears and shouting "nah uh i win i win i win !"
That the profession does not have enough vacancies is a problem of the profession, not the university.
Despite this https://thewire.in/law/sandeshkhali-updates-tmc-sheikh-shahjahan stern clarification of something that everyone had known all along, the TMC folks, especially the New Delhi trio mentioned here https://thewire.in/politics/facing-fire-tmc-leaders-say-allegiance-only-to-people-of-bengal-shahjahan-arrest-soon keep repeating the lie/deliberate misinformation of their Dear Leader.
Why is the Calcutta HC so reluctant to initiate contempt proceedings against AB and Co?
This isn't the first time. The poster issue against a Cal HC judge went nowhere.
Is something off within the judicial brotherhood in Kolkata and New Delhi (SC).
Apart from the technicality of age limit, what really are the sins of NKC? Why would we want him gone at the earliest?
You responded with a SH complaint before LCC Barasat. How is that going? You still have NKC as VC.
FIR in local police station. A belated Q/A session with Registrar and two faculty members who are solidly positioned in their respective research centres. NKC had you removed unceremoniously.
Good luck.
Can somebody tell me according to their own experience that how many days or weeks it might take for the HR in KCO Delhi to get back to me? My interview went very well and I strongly expecting to be shortlisted. I am also in touch with the counsel who recommended me to the HR. Though she has told me to be patient and I don't want to poke her every now and then.
I am expecting for people to have different experiences in regards to this. But I want to comprehend an average time by which I can expect hearing back from the HR. Also if somebody gets rejected, in that case, will the candidate be notified accordingly?
SJA saw ▮▮▮ and complicity. Exposed it. EC initiated inquiries. Successive VCs had those killed off.
By the way, NUJS' arbitration was assigned to a faculty member's spouse who is close to KD/TMC. Why no sniping there? Why no talk about who really advised Lord Taluk and later NKC? Why no talk about how certain things were never brought before the university lawyer and the court?
You are being very AB here. Half-truths and courts indulging the nonsense.
That ex-Prez exposed the ▮▮▮ in April and May 2018, graduated and left campus within a few weeks thereafter. SJA remained active till late 2019 or so. Since 2020 almost coinciding with COVID pandemic, SJA started imploding and its a shell now.
Why did the EC continue to give so much weight to that ex-Prez's submissions long after he had graduated?
Straight out of law school: A0
+1 year experience: A1
+1 year experience: A2
+1 year experience: A3
+1 year experience: SA1 (unless you're at AZB, they give SA at 5 years)
So on and so forth
After SA, it varies basis performance, the firm and (sometimes) your luck. A good thumb rule is SA for 2-3 years (and 4 at AZB).
Later when NLS and UGC had a tussle over the MBL recognition (and later concerning one or two more courses) then NUJS suddenly "clarified" that the iPleader courses did not have UGC recognition and had students (who had already enrolled) sign off on that additional note.
This point wasn't made clear to the HC. Things could have gone differently.
For SJA it was about exposing PIB and Co based on the paperwork that it could access then. Like now, the univ had embargoed all EC, AC, FC etc records. Later due to SJA efforts Lord Taluk and Co were compelled to release all the records, which was reported extensively by Legally India.
But Lord Taluk and Co cleverly ensured that the damning SJA petitions are not included. It was embarrassing because the SJA petitions were using uncomfortable data from NUJS' own records to show the shenanigans of PIB and Co and how Lord Taluk who was supposed to clean up was actually covering up. NKC followed suit and now we are back to square one.
Go on, blame SJA/Prez etc.
As regards retrospective UGC recognition, there are several cases from SC where it was denied.
But that was for UGC to dispute in Cal HC or point out in SC.
NUJS should have never made the distance education students suffer. Not when they were signing up for unrecognized courses and certainly not after the EC repeatedly empowered Lord Taluk and NKC to initiate refund process.
NUJS was always in the wrong.
You are going to feel like everyone's better than you, some are going to be objectively better then you, and there will be a clear dichotomy between amazing and mediocre students as college begins. By the time you reach 2 year, a lot of things will be set in stone. Be afraid, and put your all in from day 1 if you want to shine.
On the first day upon arriving to office, you all will be taken to the conference room. If you are seeing Trilegal's Bangalore office for the first time it's great, gives you an immense sense of pride. You will get free tea/coffee/biscuits/chocolates.
The firm then takes everyone to the venue. For us it was Taj : Your luggages are collected and you immediately have a few sessions by HR on the firm. Next you step up for breakfast, few ice breaking sessions and then lunch. You are given your keycards to your rooms.
Evening is free for you to roam Taj or just chill in your room. In the night you will have prizes for the games played before (trust me the prizes are great). One of the founding partners gives a talk on the firm which is followed by unlimited drinks and interactions with Partners.
Next day remember to sober up and wake up early to not miss the breakfast , after which checkouts are done. Note: you have to pay for any additional expenses arising from room service. The firm drops you back at the office.
Then you come to work, stay free for a month or so and then firm life hits you !

If are very studious and focused on academics NLS is good. But if you like some flexibility, if you want to try out different co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, NLS under Sudhir may not be the best place for you.
tough hours better to start as an associate and transition into opening an independent tax practise
Post COVID, all of us are at a higher risk of strokes (there is not enough research yet as to why). Regardless of age and co-morbidities.
Listen, girl, don't ever indulge yourself in drinking, smoking, etc., not even for the sake of your profession.
Make your own rules for life; life is beyond profession too. And these people are not the whole profession; they are just a part of it.
One tip: just think about it once, 'Your professional life is just a part of life, and not your whole life; life is beyond it too.'
I'm also facing exactly the same issue as you, but remember: DON'T WASTE YOUR PARENTS' HARD-EARNED MONEY ON RUINING YOUR BODY AND POLLUTING YOUR MIND!
You are brave enough that you didn't start doing so-called 'elite' stupid things. Stay Happy and Blessed! All the best!
But don’t rule him out. Just like Sibal, he may quit the Congress and join some other party which gives him a ticket, in exchange for fighting cases for them. 🤓🤓🤓
Elections wouldn't matter much for NUJS as an institution. Ofc, certain individual fortunes may change for better/worse. NKC is staying on till 2026 at least. He will ofc try to appoint an acolyte as his successor.
Arul I am not sure.
Chinmayi was always more active on the research side, she left to move abroad AFAIK.
you need to tick some basic boxes and you are in
Work on your looks, hygiene, how you speak, work out at the gym, make sure you have good nutrition, don't be crazy or vile, don't have a bad reputation
Its not so difficult to get a date really
If you go fishing for stories about casteism, communalism or whatever you will find that too - but thats only because you are interested in that
mostly people are just desperate because they are lonely
and english speaking college youth is a separate new caste in India which is outside all other castes
Don't live on fantasies
if rote learning is your expertise and can absolutely not handle any math, take BA (though Economics may still melt your brains)
BBA faculty can be biased and have favouratism, BA faculty doesnt have favouratism, they hate everyone equally
Also, from my experience, I think there is a decent number of lawyers who don't drink or smoke. It's still the minority, but enough to not feel completely left out.
Please guide.
Honestly though, I'd dig for that kind of money. Agreed you leave everything behind once you drop dead, but to think that you could have every comfort and the best quality possible, just earn obscene amount of money, that sounds so, so good. I want to earn that kind of F---U money
2) Yes
3) The life in 1st sem is incredibly chill, you'll have plenty of time to re-attempt CLAT if you wish. A guy in my batch re-attempted CLAT and got NALSAR.
4) No one consciously hates on you due to where you're from, and in fact people will be very interested in getting to know you, your hometown, your language etc. However, the very nature of a university which has over 50% state domicile is that the students will mostly speak in malayalam to each other, the student council will be malayali-dominated, and in general Kochi is not an extremely diverse city. I would say that a bigger difference in experience might be between a south indian and a north indian. If you're south indian then you can travel home frequently, you'll be more in touch with the local culture and there'll always be a few tamilians/kannadigas or malayalis from chennai/bangalore etc.
North Indians will find it a bit tough because honestly the campus and surrounding area will become mind-numbing for months at a time, it's better if you can catch a train home at least once a month.
What’s most debilitating is the societal norms haven’t changed a bit. Boys are still considered to have a stable job, good house, and other amenities to provide to the prospective partner. While in most cases girls do not have this long-term insecurity, it’s something that keeps u awake at night. No matter how insignificant you may be, you have to overperform to gain acceptance in life. Just me or anyone else facing this dilemma too? And if someone is, what can be a good way to navigate this wilderness?
How is the work culture order there??
Firstly, let me clarify that comparable law schools abroad also admit a large number of students every year. For example, Harvard Law School accepts over 800 students, Stanford Law School accepts over 330 students, and Oxbridge accepts around 300 students per year in their various law programs (note that the UK’s population is 21 times smaller than ours). Even within India, if we compare the intake of comparable top institutions, NLSIU’s intake is relatively low. For instance, IIT Madras admits over 1000 students in total for both their UG programs, and similarly, IIM Ahmedabad admits over 800 students for its MBA program. Therefore, the claim that NLSIU’s 300-strong UG batch is unusually large is totally false.
Another argument is that the larger batch size lowers the “quality” of the student pool. This is also untrue. In fact, the larger batch size means that we attract more students who have performed exceptionally well in CLAT (at the expense of other NLUs), thus resulting in a more talented student pool. I am confident that these students will bring many laurels to the institute in the future. It's worth noting that out of the top 100 All India Rank students in CLAT 2024, only a small handful have chosen to join other NLUs. Note that since the inception of CLAT, there have been students who choose other NLUs mainly due to personal reasons.
I sincerely hope that you consider these points and understand the fallaciousness of the arguments made by those who oppose the batch size increase.
Point out the statement from judgment which says course was illegal? Or that students were misled 😂
