heyy , how many days after applying did the hr respond
1 year pqe wil good transactional and commercial exposure, choose quality of life over this shit, in-house folks with law firm experience, please guide, can I get a better job in house with at least control over time, no pointless long hours etc
I am already a fresher in law too right? It's not like I am getting a break in m&a and/or gen corp.
As of what was stated in their JD, it is 5.8 lpa which is really low as per my understanding. Also, the initial work location will be Trivandrum which does not make it a prudent choice for me to relocate just for that package for 6 months.
Are you for real? How does one figure out which 'niche' they like working in when they aren't even getting jobs in the first place or even assessment internships. People really are something these days.
This post reeks of jealousy. Please explain why major listed companies and foreign clients routinely approach T1s for business if the work product is sub standard
Looking to work with genuinely talented disputes lawyers based out of NCR/Mumbai who will not particularly coddle but give enough room to grow and learn good commercial/construction/energy arbitration. Pls drop some names.
Try karanjawala/S&A/Hammurabi&Solomon Partners for firms (other similarly placed boutiques based on your sector)

Try Bharat Chugh/Shrutanjay Bharadwaj for chambers
Wtf, genuinely thought it was a professional networking meetups. Bump on if anyone has any exp to share. (Also heard they are gonna go national with this) (ps not surprised given the reputation of founders)
Whats the work like? Have seen the team to be too lean and not much buzz about the work. Plz share any insight possible
Try to get assessment internship in boutiques/reputed chambers. Stick it out for couple years. And then go for t1.
Will it be hard for me to start dating..I am 19 and yes it's my first time as well..but it's also true that I am still single so is the nlu culture supportive or am I just gonna get exploited🥲
I feel Nikhil has the most interesting mandates. What kind of work does Jishnu Sanyal take up?
Not the former ▮▮▮ SA who bullied an intern for calling out a grammatical error.
What’s the pay for Anagram A2 for GC/M&A- PEVC in Mumbai?
Student of mid-tier NLU with good rank and acad and decent internships with 2 year gap. Need a job, Gen Corp or any other related team(B&F/Cap) would work. Any suggestions on how to get into the firm. Suggest some firms with vacancies
Completely agree.

There’s no work across teams. Only some merger work.
Khaitan vs SAM - Chennai. How is the culture and pay in both the firms?
Someone please tell if converting to physical is possible and also, if physical/ virtaul allotment is performace based?
Why MNLU VC is still continuing when his 2nd term is also over on 31st May 2026.? How long will he continue? Who could be the next VC?
In my NLU, a first year (dropper) was older than a second year. Still he was ragged by the second year and called “junior”. WTF is this?

I can name the NLU and the ragger (a POS whose dad is a judge) but I guess LI will not allow the identity to be revealed.
And what would that notification be ? We know our exam has been scam so far but no more ? Can you think of any reason why they may not want to do that?
I like how people pretend like NLS/NALSAR/NUJS/NLUD are choices that people can choose.

Less than 1% of the candidates actually get to "Choose". You need both a top 50 rank in AILET and under 250 in CLAT for a choice
it's a VC sweat shop, work hours have been challenging in last 2.5 years. Pay is good. some folks are good but a couple of recently minted partners are ▮▮▮.
yes i am also stuck in this loop, the HR at indus is brutal, she rejects CVs for no reason at all. I have pretty good CV with tier 1 internships still i got rejected for december...sucks
Buch here refers to Madhvi Buch from Sebi, not the other meaning. (I hope)
In my experience - lawyers whether they are paid 20K or 50K start working last minute and give a shitty opinion regardless.
(don't mean to hijack your post but) ive heard infosys work environment is horrible, can anyone who has worked there verify if this is true?
For someone who is just entering the profession, should they focus on Direct tax or Indirect tax, is is true that direct tax is dominated by CAs. Also should they intern/work in Direct tax advisory or exclusively practice litigation.
Insights on how to approach Gopal Sankaranarayanan for hiring? Will he hire someone with 1 year PQE?
Thought Regfin has the most stable team and relatively less hectic work. All partners have been there for 10 or more years with them.
Is anyone aware of the work culture and the payscale at Quadra Legal?
anyone you ask will give you the same advice, future is bleak, prospects are near zero
What are the best TMT firms to intern for in Mumbai? I'm not talking about Tech Teams that do M&A but actual data privacy work.

It would be even more helpful if anyone can drop specific partner names. Thank you.
Solely cause of merit – has nothing to do when you have to meet targets.

I will also reserve T1 merits considering how many get hired through contacts.
Hii, I have some internship lined up at King Stubb and Talwar Thakor and I am planning to ask for extension for one month at TT&A or ask for a call back. Can you please help me in this. How I can ask for extension or a call back for another month.
The person who was driving is someone I know from my past life and I've heard a lot of stuff about this person and this situation.
Spot on - especially as a law student its too early to specialise and focus solely competition law. Future looks decent though but always a good idea to hedge your bets
You do politics the right way. Regional Parties can go down any moment. Unfortunately, even after all this UPA is the only opposition of NDA.
How is the Trilegal Gurgaon GC Team? Are they hiring freshers in the respective partner's team through PPOs? I have my internship scheduled in Nov so that any insights would be helpful. Thank you!
Why are you thinking of a pivot. Pivots are unheard of in big law. Stick to m&a and don't ruin your career. You will start as a fresher
Bruh no exam announces it's difficulty tf, they provide a syllabus and youve gotta be prepared
That sucks cuz in banking and cap m, clients clear invoices in one go, so it's not regular
I believe you should go for something combined. IMO, tech and law would be joined at hip, tech to execute and law to add value in what tech executes.
yes, it only accrues on months for everyone when the matter is paid not when it is billed
wdym it was v chill (not being sarcastic). AIBE is in fact extremely easy to be real.
I am a 4th year law student with only chambers and law firms internship. I wish to serve as a law clerk under a HC/SC judge. Should I wait to write the exam for SC clerkship in my 5th year or start off interning under judges rn?
I think it's fair to increase the standard/difficulty of the paper, but it has to be communicated in advance so students' prep is in line with this. There's no point of arbitrarily increasing difficulty without any intimation, it's just a waste of time, money and resources.
to get this theres a need to land at top law firm now the scenes are diff earlier it wasnt now everybody wants nlu ppl
Do people now take advice for such mundane/useless tasks? What's next? Should I wash my butt before I take a dump or after I take a dump?
Hey! If I intern at IC RegFin in December, is there a chance of getting a PPO or an assessment internship afterward? And will there be slots available for consideration? BO27
Have seen the same in Hyderabad - a firm which claims to be India's ▮▮▮ ▮▮▮ law firm.
getting 71 as per shiksha answer key, easiest exam of my life
Hey everyone, could you all let me know about good litigation chambers to work at in Bangalore? If you could also mention relative pay scale for an A1-A3 level, that'd be super helpful! Thanks in advance
I've been there done that buddy.

T1s are hired for their name to satisfy board/investors.

What im seeing as work product is horrific. Mind you spent nearly 10 years in a T1.
I am open to A0 roles btw, it's just that vacancies are posted for A1 roles and upwards (though I mostly see a requirement of minimum 2 years PQE) and A0 vacancies are so hard to come by because they're usually filled through PPOs/placement
A grad from a certain global law university was sacked by a top law firm after abusing BJP-leaning people and the PM in very filthy language. Well known case.

Gen Z kids really need to be careful about what they post.
Anyyyy Idea on what is the reputation of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad ????
What is the normal deal inflow? How many transaction documents/ transactions are a respectable number to have worked on or closed in a year? I am afraid I'm in a very slow team, work is sparse and am getting anxious.
Looking forward to join this community as my 16 year old aspires to be a lawyer, he is neurodivergent and we need community support to pursue the course and thrive in this profession.
What are the IP offices in chennai, and how to apply for an assessment internship/ junior role there, along with what they pay :’(
This is absolutely not true. OP pls remove this comment.

The placement scene at NALSAR is as bad as it could get (fellow Batch of 27)
AILET is conducted much more professionally than CLAT. Also, it's not good for aspirants to have their fate decided by a single exam. There should be at least 3-4 meaningful exams to reduce pressure on candidates. See what is happening with NEET.
Good, about time the exam be made at the very least somewhat engaging.
Have you seen the quality of advocates previously?
Better late than never to ensure only quality people enter the profession.
I am set to intern at AZB & Partners under their General Corporate Team. Can anyone please provide me advice and tips that can come in help during my internship.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated :)
JSA will never match tri or kco or scam or even several t2s like bharucha at all levels
Is it possible to do these demanding jobs if you have a medical disadvantage? Would people who have perhaps overcome such a personal challenge care to share their experiences?
Your insistence on clinging to false info is astonishing. IIT KGPs law school has such faculty.
Nope. Their PhDs are from top NLUs and I'm not doxxing them to compensate for your lack of research.
There is no power associated with being a cog in a place like BHU. People apply there because people apply for everywhere. And how often do these places recruit anyway? These are dead places for law.
Where is the stats to back it up? Or is it source: Trust me bro? Most people pursuing their PhD from NLUs finish it.
