When NKU Leaves Trilegal no longer has any competition team left. NKU is the richest competition lawyer in the country. Her team bills atleast 30 crores per year.
Trilegal stood with her โฎโฎโฎ
Why a sudden departure?
Moreover, this firm is one of the select few that can proudly claim a robust alumni network. Almost every lawyer who has ever worked at S&R is well-established and continues to excel post-departure.
The loss of UW, BP, BB, SB, TA, RB, DP, JLCP, VK, among many others, did not impact S&R's reputation or growth trajectory. Mohit's departure will similarly be inconsequential. This is not to minimise their contributions or potential. A positive trajectory, immune from such resignations across practice groups over these years, proves sound institution building.
A good example of this is Anand Prasadโs departure from Trilegal. He was one of its core founders. His leaving and starting a boutique practice didnโt make any difference at all there! Likewise, Akshay Jaitley (another core founder at Trilegal) resigned and ran a practice from France for a little while. Did it make a difference to the firm? No. Sitesh is a Senior Advocate. His leaving didnโt crush Trilegalโs dispute practice!
Hereโs my forecast: like his peers before him, Mohit will go on to do great things. Best of luck, Mohit.
Wont regret
I am the storm, brother.
By setting the tone you mean pushing out your standard ppm for half of what a tier 1 firm does, then lead way. No self respecting lawyer would resort to undercutting.
The hypocrisy about being the highest paymaster is shameful. Pay your associates at par then talk about premium.

Jsa seems to be picking up the gauntlet again. Several Partners poached in the past months. T1 status reclaimed?
Now since over 40 new people are joining at all levels from SAM and Trilegal at all levels.
They would be off increasing the band pay to double in other teams. Like that is what is in news. Else why would any one already working at other team want to continue. Example wise letโs say an SA level for 2 LPM would be outright discouraged to continue if someone in the same firm at same level will be paid 3 to 3.5 LPM or more.
Someone inside could please provide genuine information. Thank you in advance. Also have the new teams joined?
3 year LLB are treated like second class citizens. This academic year they have not been allotted hostel rooms yet and are figuring out things on their own, and mind you NLUO is situated outside the city with not much residential options around.
1. I haven't seen anyone from there doing a good internship, maybe because they were in their first year of LLB.
2. None yet as programme started last year.
3.
4. Answered above + people are in general hostile towards them, and they should be. Most of these people are from Tier 3 colleges or DU, and they are trying to bring their culture with them of abusing people and picking up random fights. They are stuck with their Tier-3 mentality.
@JSA peeps - your thoughts please.
They have a remarkable set of clients too. While cap marks is certainly the best at Indus, TMT does do great for itself
The Chief Minister said his "pro-Kannada government" would ensure all "Kannadigas (get) an opportunity to lead a comfortable life in the motherland... and avoid being deprived of jobs in the land of Kannada". However, his X post said the bill mandated 100 per cent reservation at certain levels.
Fury and outrage followed Siddaramaiah's post, with business leaders like Biocon's Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and the opposition, led by the BJP, targeting the Congress government.

The fine is 10k - 25k per company for violation if found. No-one will follow it anyway. Calm tf down
These mandatory ICUL posts are misleading and posted by self promoting members of the firm. Any post which is not an outrageous exaggeration about ICUL is marked trollish. LI needs to ensure that there shouldnโt be false claims made here.
But I'd supposed Apple's headphones might be very good if you have the budget for it.
Samir G left Azb.
No competition legend / spearhead of Sam has ever left the competition team. They don't allow the entry of outsider partner. Home grown partners only.
Trolls please don't stay away. Idc what you have to say. Keep talking **** for all I care.๐๐
Any other alternatives for great/ even average teams but with a decent culture or partners. Thanks again.
Let's make a list of tier-1 or tier 2 good paying firms which provide more than 2 months of internship in one go.
Basic economics will prove this correct. If we take the student quality of NLS, Nalsar and NUJS to be equal then the proportion of students getting placed from each college should be the same. A firm will not have an incentive to go for a 2nd last-ranked kid in NUJS over a 5th last-ranked kid in NLS and vice-versa. On top of this, the alumni network of NLS is also the strongest!
No policy of dinner or cab. Encouraged to leave start early and leave early. So you will find hardly 2-3 people after 8. All offices.
1. Do these poached Partners and their teams bring in their clients from their previous firm to new firm? Is that possible?
2. How/why does the whole team shift firms?
Will the Mumbai 3L Comp Team see fresh hires now?
Also, what ramifications could be there, considering she's one of the highest-paid partners, if not the most?
NKU leaves Trilegal with team to join JSA.
This was unexpected!!
Huge boost for JSA.

This is been going on since Amarchand started. CAM partners have left to join Trilegal/ SAM/ Other firms to carry on this toxic legacy and polluting other erstwhile firms which promised WLB and good culture.
And those skills are not even relevant to law..
Next thing you'll start preparing for competitive exams right. The national hobby of jobless people. People really need to get their priorities straight. Get serious about life dude. Stop wasting time on useless endeavours.
For Delhi, there are a ton of LPO and Process outsourcing companies, majoryky in Gurgaon and Noida - Unitedlex, Trasnperfect, 02, MRI, JLL, Quislex, Integoron, Elevate even blue-ticket LPOs liek Clifford Chance.
Asking as an upcoming intern there.
Would like to know any insights that fellow LI users may give. Thank you.

Is three year llb waste as I read a long thread here explaining it's insignificance I'm current market.
I am a new graduate. During my college, I interned in Delhi only and made good connections. However, I recently visited my state High Court and found a lack of good lawyers. I feel I can do much better there in my state HC since even the most senior lawyers are not that competent (In my opinion)
I have handled a few cases, and though I am not very experienced, I have good hands in law. I am thinking of starting counsel practice there in my state HC. I don't want to file any petition.
What would you suggest?
Should I stay in Delhi working in a senior chamber? or leave to my state HC for Counsel Practice? Would counsel practice be the right choice?
Thanks!
What is the upper limit tolerated?
Based on the internships I've done in some firms, I'm not at all inclined to join them, so neither firms nor litigation. However, I'm focused on pursuing a career in Judiciary, Academia, or Government exams. How should I proceed?
My priorities are as follows:
1. Judiciary - This is my primary goal.
2. Academia - I consider this as a backup option. Please suggest where I should pursue my LLM. I'm considering LLM through distance mode or from a central university to simultaneously prepare for Judiciary exams.
3. Other exams - These are just a backup plan.
Could you please advise me if pursuing LLM through distance mode or from a central university is advisable? Also, as I'm in my third year, how should I plan my next 2.5 years considering my ultimate aim is the judiciary?
Also, please rate following institutions for LLM, in Good to Bad, it would be immensely helpful for me:
NLUs
JMI
JNU
TISS
Panjab University
ILS Pune
ILI Delhi
IIT KGP
Other State Universities
The Karnataka cabinet approved a bill mandating 100 per cent reservation to Kannadigas, or local residents, for C and D grade posts in private industries. But, chief minister Siddaramaiah, who made the announcement in a social media post, deleted it after severe criticism from industry giants. Later, however, he shared the post again on his X handle.
The chief minister said the Congress-led government in the state was โpro-Kannadaโ and took this decision at a cabinet meeting so as to give more jobs and opportunities to Kannadigas.
