No. Not named in JSA's press release. 2 current Counsels joining as retained partners.
Trilegalโ€™s Nisha Kaur Ubers joins JSA as Chair of Competition Practice. Things looking good for JSA in the future vis-ร -vis upcoming appraisals and bonus?
Folks at 3l, please share details of why the switch is happening. Brownie points if you're part of the team that's moving
They not like us, they not like us, they not like us
How's this possible?

When NKU Leaves Trilegal no longer has any competition team left. NKU is the richest competition lawyer in the country. Her team bills atleast 30 crores per year.

Trilegal stood with her โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ

Why a sudden departure?
Bro, get your facts right? Shweta Shroff is a competition lawyer - you really think any first gen lawyer can compete with that kind of inheritance/generational wealth ?
Bri get YOUR understanding right. Family inheritance versus ACTUAL legal ability. Stop sucking up!!
Being with both - is also about sucking up.

Try to survive without it. God help you.
There are layers to everything - what is shown to the external world need not be always true.
Out of 30 cr - what is the % of work obtained from other Tri partners? Some of them must be passing on comp work?
Are GC and RS capable enough to handle comp matters on their own? How would the division of clients take place - since everyone was presumably there based on NKUโ€™s goodwill ?
It seems strange that none of the other partners under NKU's vertical is moving with her!
Whatโ€™s strange about it? They are choosing to back stab their senior who gave them partnership.
Perhaps ask yourself why their loyalty is to their firm and not to an individual. The firm gave them partnership, not any one person. Trilegal isn't a dictatorship like you seem to be used to.
Will the associate pool of the teams of Iqbal and Nisha draw the same pay or a lesser pay as per JSA scale?
They are matching Trilegalโ€™s pay for NKU team
Iqbal is drawing more than the JSA scale, confirmed. Nisha would also be same ig
they're coming in at a base retainer pay cut - which is still higher than the JSA scale - but with 8% from day 1 and a much higher first year bonus than JSA usually pays
As part of one of these 2 teams, there have been good increments across all levels as compared to the pay at the previous firm. JSA is not messing around.
Sam partner moves to cam, trilegal partner moves to JSA? Where will cam partner move now?
Thanks for the comment - just went and read the email.
With Nisha leaving, is TL looking to hire? Who will fill the void ?
Others can grow now. In fact others will be forced and encouraged to grow.

The simple reality was that glass ceilings came in all shapes, sizes and even genders.

Trilegal has already wished Nisha well. There is only one side that is talking another side down.
What about ppo holders of nisha's team at trilegal
After criticism - she seems to be extending it to them.
Samajh nahi aya agar toh PPO ke deserving toh nahi ho tum.
Till when will this team have to serve its notice period? Any idea? Is Tri likely to give them a shorter notice period given the nature of the move?

She basically took people who agree with her every decision.

Everyone knows it. Including the people who moved with her.
I think the people leaving should reflect on calling their former colleagues โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ.

A lot of them were writing about the perils of anonymous posts against their boss.

This is about making more money. Money does not equal class.
How is this post trollish?

Someone basically name called.

And they were told to tone it down.

No. All of whom stayed behind are good lawyers. Some of them have worked with NKU for years, unless you are saying she was willing to shoulder deadweight for so long. There are also team dynamics at play here.
