And yet morality is expected out of everyone. So a rich owes a part of his money to the poor who is starving. A doctor owes advice to a sick man. A by-passer owes his time to an injured man on the road. We are the same race. We owe each other basic kindness and compassion.
Suggest tier 3-4 law firms for general corporate practice in Delhi.
Which firm is better for corporate internship CRAWFORD BAYLELY VS DESAI DIWANJI?
7;30-9;30 in your final two years, fourth year you have lectures till 11;30 but if you are interning you can leave by 9;30
8% is for just associates? Do SAs and PAs have a higher bill share?
In NLU's 3 year LLB students are looked down like LLM students.

Same across IITs where Btech Students look down on Mtech Students.

Majority of 5 year LLB Students have God complex.
Being with both - is also about sucking up.

Try to survive without it. God help you.
I think the people leaving should reflect on calling their former colleagues ▮▮▮.

A lot of them were writing about the perils of anonymous posts against their boss.

This is about making more money. Money does not equal class.
She basically took people who agree with her every decision.

Everyone knows it. Including the people who moved with her.
What non GC teams have vacancies to hire through PPOs at KCO Mumbai?
What about Aniket Singhania's team at CAM? He has been a newly promoted partner at the Ahmedabad office as per the LinkedIn update of CAM.
CAM Real Estate team is good, then there is Khaitan & Co which is starting RE team, there are few local firms like Jani & Co, Singhi, Wadia etc
How to prep in law school if you want to make a career in disputes? What all should one study? Can anyone recommend some good resources to study arbitration law?
man all these mf t1 firms, just sit and do a mega auction of whom do yall want in ur team, it’s so damn confusing tracking each transfer, ipl this shit
There are talks about this, considering she has the biggest book now. The next JMP election is due in 2025, right?
KCO has partners who specialize in ESOPs. Check out Shabnam Shaikh.
My advice would be not to think about it and be diligent in the remainder of your period. Take less work if need be but deliver quality.
yes and also sam and cam are thinking or merging together and embracing brotherhood
Supreme Court area has no residential buildings in close proximity. You may find PG's in CP, Rajiv Chowk, or west Delhi would do like Janakpuri since you would have access to direct metro and is not that far.
How do students doing internships and staying in pgs manage to get their shirts ironed ?

Does the pg provides laundry with iron or you get it done outside
Gaurav Mitra, Rishav Banerjee, Sumesh Dhawan, Pooja Saigal, Biswajit Dubey, GP Madan, Vipul Ganda

Young and effective lot- Eshna Kumar, Palash Sangai, Sp Chawla, Vishal Ganda, Gaurav H Sethi, Rahul Gupta etc.
Small correction — CAM's fixed component is just 14.4, the rest is variable pay: this deserves to be highlighted because it is by far the lowest as opposed to the other 4 undisputed T1s (TL, KCO, AZB, SAM).
Saraf is paying 13.8 + 2.2; have seen multiple offer letters as well as PPO hires who've already used up the 50k joining bonus. Unless they're uniquely (and pointlessly) giving differential pay for PPO candidates vis-a-vis campus hires, your figure can't be correct.
KCO is giving 18.20-18.50 rey, I'm getting 18.20 in Mumbai M&A — and even the official figure from the firm on the Bar&Bench report is 18+. You probably haven't touched base with your HR POC in a while; would be a good idea to do that.
great work. people are really great and friendly in the firm. one can see the firm is growing really well and can compete with tuli & co easily. Office is beautiful
Pay is around 65k for most teams, Only NB and Gopal's teams pay more.

work culture is similar to T1's ideally not a great place but decent firm if no other options
Sampat - KCO. Knows his stuff and is very approachable. Slightly old school but rock solid. He is incredibly intelligent as well.
lord this sounds so mean, PLEASE tell me this is this is not what they said verbatim
No, freshers are hired through PPOs and day zero. Apply directly.
Mods, please tell how is a comment both featured and contested at the same time? What should I believe?
Got it, so if someone gets an assessment internship at Trilegal's competition team then they won't have a shot for PPO?
Why on earth is this marked trolling? It’s absolutely true and I say this as someone working in a T1. A very large chunk of the work that transactional lawyers do can be done by high school kids with good soft skills.
About 70% indians know English, and typing bs in LI is like 40%. These days you can use translate for anything and jio is virtually everywhere
Remind me of what Vivek Ramaswamy said yesterday to Gen Z youth. If you want to be a rebel these days, announce yourself as a conservative in college. 😂
So I have received a few internships and assessment Internships considering this could be my last chance at a PPO is it possible to get a PPO if i have never interned in the Banking and Finance or Gen Corp teams of any firm and I have internships in those teams.
@Mod: can you please merge the JSA threads, all of them seem to be on the same topic
I mean you could get a PPO but it is really rare for GLC three year kids. But you definitely will do well in litigation because of the glc name. Also you still might have scope in corporates like kpmg or ey and even lower tier law firms but less chance in tier one.
Does anyone know what’s the salary of Universal Legal a boutique firm in Mumbai?
Correction: In this forum, people love tue Congress and left-liberal forces. If they tomorrow abolish reservations, LI readers will cheer them on!
ahh. same, but I don't think they would say they are still reviewing if they would have finalised. I mean i dont know but ya
Tri - 19.5

Kco - 18.5

AZB / Spice Route / Saraf /CAM - 16 - 16.5

Indus / Argus /SAM - 15.8
Currently RMLNLU is doing better than HNLU these days and you get good opportunities in both judiciary and corporate field. But judicial opportunities are quite vast as the curriculum is designed in that manner . So overall its good for judicial opportunities.
For any additional perks don't think any offices better than Google. My brother is in legal team at Googleplex, can say in ine word "WORLD IS THERE". Even in India Google holds first ranks
Who are the hiring partners approving PPO recommendations at KCo Bangalore office. This is urgent, please share any info asap. Thanks
Message from Elwira (HR grad recruit)

Please stop following up constantly. If you are invited, you get a mail notifying the same by the end of July. If you request for individual feedback, it will be given after the shortlist is made. Please stop writing to us everyday
All that matters is your college and batch rank, regardless of the repeats/ etc. Unlike techies, mark sheets are not scrutinised at all.
What’s strange about it? They are choosing to back stab their senior who gave them partnership.
Appointment culminating without a foreign LLM is incredibly tough unless you come through a strong reference
Will the associate pool of the teams of Iqbal and Nisha draw the same pay or a lesser pay as per JSA scale?
16500 approximately if you have done law from outside maharashtra (or Goa Daman and Diu) and 15500 if you done law from Maharashtra (or Goa Daman and Diu)
Out of 30 cr - what is the % of work obtained from other Tri partners? Some of them must be passing on comp work?
Depends on you.

I studies from an IPU private college and ended up with a Tier 2 litigation PPO.

without reference and without college placement aid.
Please tell us which is the best place to pursue LLM then?
nobody even checks your grade sheets if you get in through a PPO
Cuz you don’t have to undertake corporate compliances under criminal laws.
For bigger teams, including the bonus it can go upto 17.5
Hi - any recommendations for non-toxic TMT teams across T1/T2/T3 Firms? Thanks
Can anyone tell about the domain of PANDA Law in guwahati. Are they into Corporate Commercial role and how many persons are there in the team?
I think the work hours are similar to other law firms. But I never saw any senior yelling at or berating a junior (which I have seen at other law firms).
Delhi bar collect Rs. 600 as enrollment and rest in some other names like Library, infra etc.
I am a first year LLB student, I want to start preparing for judicial services. Any guidelines regarding coaching, dos and don'ts???
Bri get YOUR understanding right. Family inheritance versus ACTUAL legal ability. Stop sucking up!!
What does it matter what they think? They aren't the people who got elected by popular mandate. Those who are, get to make the policy, to be checked by the court to pass constitutional muster.
No. If you don't have a degree (provisional or final) you can't join. At minimum you should atleast have mark sheets.

However things slip thorough the cracks at times but even found out it'll be a fiasco.
This is unfortunate but true. Law firms don't need A0s to be Einsteins, they just need sensible people with soft skills. Honestly a high school kid can do most of the firm gruntwork at the entry levels. So Jindal grads suffice.
Hi, how much does N&A pays to their India interns (per month) and what kind of work do they generally engage the interns with? Thanks
I have an internship next month and visiting Delhi for the first time. Please help me with the residence near Supreme Court. Pgs would be better as I would find someone to talk to
Really urgent, does anyone know what constitutes a change in control for an LLP? And which statue/provision says so?
That's less than what I'm making as a fresher in a boutique firm lol, why do you suffer at chambers instead of just joining a firm?
Salary is 25K post bar enrolment. 10K as Trainee Associate till enrolment.

They do pay for food and Court expenses so roughly around 30K in total.

Working hours are 10 AM to 9 PM.
Bump - no longer a thousand (people or crores). 25 just left. Whatsup?
