"In any other country people would have said Hindenburg report belongs to garbage bin... Hindenburg is trying to browbeat SEBI... There should be a tribunal for defamation in India.. Tomorrow, such bodies won't spare even judges," Mr Salve, a former Solicitor General told NDTV in an exclusive interview.
He also said it is "shameful" that a section of political leaders are taking Hindenburg seriously.
"Why do people get away with wild allegations? In india, we don't respect people's reputation... It is time we started taking Indian reputation seriously," he said, contending that Hindenburg is "mocking India".

Thankyou.
Take a step back pat yourself on your back and breathe. You will be fine.
Now, ask yourself what you truly want ? What area of law. If you have purpose and believe in it you can do it! Don’t give up. Just be sure and have clarity on what you want. Ask for internships more and more they can get converted to jobs depending on how you perform. Or more firms are hiring paralegals look into that as well.
What to do? Am I right or wrong?
Good teachers have all left, no goddamn care about placements lol.
9th August - Shortlist announced. 30 students make the cut. (Good thing I couldn’t make it, as I feel bad for those who did) [Some students CLAIMED that there was an unpublished list where their names were present initially, but replaced with different names in the published list]
10th August - ‘Additional’ shortlist announced with 6 more students. 2 students very close to and below 7CGCPA.
12: August: Cut to GD day. 8 shortlisted of 36. Fair enough.
Then 3 more students who didn’t make it into the top 8, are called for the interview.
No explanations given as to why. No information was given about these 3 folks on the 3L recruitment WhatsApp group
13 August: out of these additional 3, 2 got the offer. And 2 candidates from the actual interview shortlist, received WAITLISTED offers.

- Probably the only Harvard-educated CJI in history.
- Overruled his father on ADM Jabalpur.
- Possibly the only judge in India to have referred to theories of intersectional gender justice and Critical Race Theory in speeches and judgments, citing the works of Kimberle Crenshaw.
- In the Sabarimala case, struck down the practice of not allowing women of menstruating age as discriminatory.
- Launched a manual for courts on using gender-sensitive language. Passed an order acknowledging that men may get pregnant, hence "pregnant person" instead of "pregnant woman" is more appropriate.
- Upheld right to privacy
CONS:
- Not doing enough to improve legal education and addressing misgovernance at NLUs. Constantly criticising NLUs as elitist while frequently visiting Jindal.
- Not expediting various cases involving scams, both in BJP states and non-BJP states like West Bengal.
Aur fir ethics bhi koi cheez hai bhai, no matter how bad things go, wouldn't resort to something like this to make money.
Is it over? Can anyone help out with some advice?
How on earth is GNLU not on the top, SLS pune and other pvt colleges are ranked above GNLU???
how is this even possible?
AZB and KCO not visiting us for reasons that many of our past graduates didn't accept their offers.
If I am correct in the recent past KCO had made some 5-6
Before I start, I want to clarify that this is not to offend any student from any of the law institutes(Nlus or others) but rather a question I find myself asking as a first year student at a top 10 nlu. I was checking the placement reports of my institute and others also, and despite it being top 10 of country in placements, most probably, the reports are concerning. Only 10-20% of batch gets decent placements and 5-10% more in any job they can get. The condition is even worse in rest of lower NLUs with not even 5% of batch getting decent jobs. The 2024 placement reports of tier 1s are great though, I know not the best but good enough to consider law as a career and clat as an exam. Before proceeding further, I want to clarify that I am retaking clat with very good chances of getting a good tier 1 this time so it's not really for me entirely( "entirely" because I know a small percentage of even top nlus face this problem) and maybe it's worth mentioning also, to not attract criticism, that I like studying law but that's very very unrelated to this post. Now, especially for first generation lawyers, I wonder what the rest of batch at these NLUs or other law institutes do? I know judiciary, litigation, academia are the other options available in law aside from non law-related fields like upsc, mba or even startup. At most, 30-40% of any nlu's batch on average would be truly interested in these options( as in getting job was not in their priority at all, uninfluenced by their chances of getting one ). That leaves us with more than half the batch unplaced in top t2 nlus or jgls or slsp and even significantly more so in rest of lower NLUs and other law colleges. Now I will first talk about rest of career options and then people who only want jobs right out of college because of various reasons, many of which are not by choice. Firstly, in litigation, it's extremely tough to succeed without connections and same goes for getting promoted in judiciary field, the selection rate of which through pcs and later hjs exam is again extremely low. Then academia, that's a good option for people who want to continue their studies, research and teach later on but it's a option not taken by the most, and reasonably so in a country like India. Then there is upsc and mba left, which is open for everyone so the point of preparing for clat and then dedicating 5 years in law college, which can be gruelling, does not seem really attractive. Finally, I will conclude this post with the main question, that is, the people who want jobs but could not get decent placements( majority of t2 nlus and all of t3 nlus and other law schools), what do they do? Go for the other options mentioned above even if they don't want it and even though it's not really lucrative? Or is there a good way I have not become aware of yet that makes them not regret their law choice( a bold and exaggerated statement I know but just take the sense behind it ).
Thank you
So should I drop 1-1 month internship opportunity and choose corporate or law firms over anything?
Good opportunity for upcoming lawyers
It's so obvious you are a pvt college hater, and so probably, from one of the NLUs
Before elaborating on my topic of concern, I want to clarify this is not to offend any student from any nlu but a rather question I find myself asking after seeing the placement report of t2 and t3 nlus. I am currently at the best t2 nlu in placement( one of hnlu and nluo)
Friends, alumni, fellow LI readers, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Empathy, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Empathy. The noble Sudhir
Hath told you Empathy was fatal to academic standards:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Empathy answer’d it.
Here, under leave of Sudhir and the rest (administration)–
For Sudhir is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men–
Come I to speak in Empathy’s funeral.
He was my friend, faithful and just to me:
But Sudhir says he was evil;
And Sudhir is an honorable man.
He hath provided concessions to the affected, students and faculty alike,
Which provided them a space to heal and rest:
Did this in Empathy seem evil?
When that the vulnerable have cried, Empathy hath wept:
Wickedness should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Sudhir says he was evil;
And Sudhir is an honorable man.
You all did see in other administrations
Where concessions were given to those affected by the pandemic,
Did this lead to a fall in academic standards?: is this evil?
But academic rigor is a noble pursuit,
And Sudhir is an honorable man.
I speak not to disprove what Sudhir spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love him once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him?
O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts,
And men and administrations have lost their reason. Bear with me;
My heart is in the coffin there with Empathy,
And I must pause till it come back to me.

a. The partners who turned up from CAM were both ex NLIU with the initials RC and BJ
b. SAM interviews were very technical
c. AZB, Saraf and Trilegal had GDs before shortlisting folks for the interviews
d. The Saraf partners were extremely rude and dismissive of answers to questions (this seems to be common across other institutes)
e. LKS interviewed for both IDT and Corporate Law, but only shortlisted students interested in IDT
Just get your foot in the door at this stage, then let your work speak for itself. I have seen it work for multiple people around me.
1. A girl from the Netherlands called India participated in the breaking competition. Indian media is desperately trying to link her to India and doing stories about her. Her parents are apparently from Suriname and she is dark skinned, so 300 years ago her ancestors were POSSIBLY Indian. THIS is literally the link they are using.
2. Neeraj Chopra spoke with Manu Bhaker and her mom for like 30 seconds. The whole media and Indian Twitter are claiming that it was to discuss a rishta. Now Manu's father has come out with a statement saying that it's rubbish and Manu is too young to get married.
3. An entitled wrestler gets legit disqualified after trying to pull off a gambit by participating in a lower weight category and failing. The Indian Opposition walks out of Parliament in protest, the Opposition offers her a Rajya Sabha seat, a state government gives Rs 4 crore (more than what bronze medalists have got) and she is hailed as a national hero. All because she happens to have protested against the ruling government and is from the politically influential Jat community.
So we don't care seriously about sports -- only cringe politics, stunts and gossip.
Cricket World Cup? Fine. Olympics? A BIG NO. In fact, even the Cricket World Cup was a shitshow, with a terrible pitch on offer in Ahmedabad.
Is there any T1 that is still open? wb T2s? Say, such as JSA who is on a hiring spree.

I am right in BML Munjal and there is some issues with the student population in law here which I find.
Can anyone please tell if Bennett University Law is good or not and should I think about about transferring there from Munjal?
Wondering how many Rhodes scholars NUSRL Ranchi got and how many international moots it won or did well at. Just shocking.
It feels bad that the students of my College are simply not willing to work hard enough to get jobs. I mean I have literally seen 10-10 people get RCC internships in Khaitan Noida when EVERYONE knows Khaitan Mumbai offers PPOs in one internships.
In short, the quality of students of the university has
I'm an NLU Delhi student and yes the data is bad. I feel genuinely bad to see our students not work hard for PPOs etc. In a Pool of 95 students, placing 1/3rd, when other colleges are placing more than 75% students is shameful for me.
