I've heard that at S&P, interns are allotted teams on the first day of joining depending upon their choice and available slots.
Can someone please tell me which teams at S&P Mumbai actively offer PPOs? It would be really helpful.
And whether the name of DLL being t2 help to switch to tier 1 law firms?
Born in 1946, Joseph Pereira, originally of Goan descent, migrated to Pakistan β before Goa was liberated and was under the Portuguese regime β and took up a job there. On September 11, 2013, Pereira returned to India β thus eligible for Indian citizenship. Originally from Paroda village in Salcete taluka, Pereira now lives in Cansaulim village of South Goa, with his family....
Pereira said he had applied for citizenship 11 years ago, but it was not processed earlier. βI am thankful to the PM and the Union Home Minister for bringing in the CAA. I am grateful to all the government officials for processing my application. I had applied a long time agoβ¦ almost 11 years ago. Every two years, I had to apply for a visa from the FRRO and run from pillar to post. I had to take a special visaβ¦ and submit certain letters from my wife to show that I am visiting her,β Pereira added.

If you can't even get through the first, easiest stage (convincing a law firm that has vacancies to hire you), are you really going to be any good at persuading clients to come to you instead of the law firm down the road?
If you simply want to be an employee, churning out legal work and being paid a salary and not have to build client relationships, may I suggest some kind of government service? Or some companies take freshers as inhouse legal I think (although you'll find out that relationships are important even in house)
My junior (3rd yr) got to the interview somehow in her second year. Didn't qualify tho.
But I was rejected (without interview) despite applying in my 3rd yr with an objectively better CV...
You really can't predict these things.
Variety in transactions. He works majorly with big clients. Possibly one of the smartest partners in the firm. Flexible working hours. Associates get to decide timelines and also the liberty to push back on unreasonable deadlines given by clients.
He encourages talent, hardwork, commitment and dedication and usually recommends good bonuses.
Has a hands on approach in all matters.
Overall a great working atmosphere in the team.
Such a sweet fella.
To the original commenter, yes quality work is important, but just performing quality work for the A0-A3s barely makes a mark. Target the higher ups in the pecking order - SA, PAs, Counsels and your Partner. Make it amply clear that you WANT to get placed in the team. And then thereβs the whole ordeal of 2 interviews, which you have to clear.

Almost same CV, rank in top 15, t1 pvt
same response, irrespective of location/practice area/period of internship/gap between desired slot for internship and date of submission of application.
I do hope this is not the case in senior advocates' chambers where I'm willing to get placed. (the good ones that pay you enough)
I believe at my current level QF of NLU moots and SF/Finals of normal uni moots are achievable and this year I'll go for 2-3 moots. ADR is something I've really excelled in my NLU so I'm also looking forward to it.
But there's only so much I could do it by myself. How do I cover this difference? Every time I get this feeling that someone sitting at NALSAR would be going for Jessup/vis while I'm thinking about Amity (nothing against Amity). I tried to think about publishing in the NUALS journal and someone from NLUD ended up writing an editorial in The Hindu. It's like this constant feeling of lagging behind which bugs me.
The only thing that's going well with me is my internship performance which makes me get paid callbacks from my previous workplaces but these are not the chambers where I wish to work at all. The
How many out of those 300 plus faculty do you think are delivering passable to good courses in teaching and evaluation?
We get 3 internship breaks: October, February (Mandatory Internship), June.
There is no way we can intern in the trimester, we are just too busy.
B&F out. Ok reasonable.
M&A PE out? What are we left with man
A CM partner at CAM resigned last week. Not sure which one of the two, but one of these did put in their papers.
Can anyone please update on the A0 pay?
Thanks in advance

Heβs also a very classy guy. Drives a fancy high end car and wears only high end premium suits and ultra luxury watches.
Today, I am incredibly grateful. I've landed a job where Iβm valued, and I genuinely enjoy the work. I think Iβm doing okay in life.
So please, please do not forget: it gets better and you will find your place in the world.
