Expect to yelled or rude comments from sr even a3 so good leadership has not been able to keep up with it's SA and PA behaviour with others jr most
Also contractually also for sure there where would be clauses under the DTD ( debenture trust deed) that prior approval is required for any restructuring such as merger/amalgamation etc.
"In line with the longstanding rape shield laws of India, in August 2024, the Supreme Court ordered that the name and photos of the victim be removed from social media and electronic platforms.[47] On 17 September 2024 the Supreme Court specifically instructed Wikipedia to remove the name and photo of the victim."
However, on the talk page, editors continue to insist that Wikipedia is only bound by US laws and the Wikipedia Foundation has issued a statement to this effect. Meanwhile, Wikipedia is facing a contempt notice from the Delhi HC in a defamation case by ANI, for accusing ANI of "propaganda". Justice Navin Chawla has said: “If you don’t like India, please don’t work in India… We will ask government to block your site”.
The ANI article still reads: "ANI has been accused of having served as a propaganda tool for the incumbent central government,[7][8] distributing materials from a vast network of fake news websites,[9][10][11] and misreporting events on multiple occasions.[7][12]"

TLDR: An Indian kid conned his way with a full scholarship for a BTech in the US, got caught after he posted an anonymous post on Reddit boasting about his fraud and then another Indian guy traced him down on the basis of clues he had left in his post.

It has great culture, no work pressure, no toxicity, great work life balance, no client pressure, and great life. Only drawback is pay. For payment you’ll have to join some place and bear all the above. Wake up to the reality and come out of the la la land.
It is a relatively small firm so the scope for growth is less although the work puts you at the forefront of dealing with each transaction if you have in interest in it.
2. A note on his work ethic: He feels very bad if he himself hasn't done things properly in preparation for his class. He recounts an incident during his NUJS stint where he didn't come ready for a class for some reason, and practically cried later because of how he felt he'd let down the students by not preparing properly himself. If a guy starts crying because he hasn't applied himself on one day to the preparation work required of him - that too, cries when he is teaching LLB students, after himself being a topper in his own law school cohort at NLSIU, somebody who did well at the Oxford BCL and DPhil as a Rhodes Scholar and taught at Columbia - you can imagine (and readily justify) his reaction when a student doesn't do the work.
Cons: doesn’t handle stress that well on limited occasions. Cranky at times in case of (big) screw ups.
For investors, the amalgamation does not automatically impact their rights or the enforceability of the debenture terms. The new entity assumes the legal obligations of the debenture issuer, and investors retain their rights to receive payments and demand performance under the original terms. However, there may be practical implications for investors, as the amalgamation could change the financial health or risk profile of the new entity. If the amalgamated company has a weaker credit standing or operates in a different industry, investors may face increased credit risk, which could affect the issuer's ability to meet payment obligations.
Someone from Mumbai also needs help!!
Delhi is daunting
Does LL's post on litigation ever get comments?
Work is mostly research based and interns are expected to stay from 10:30-7:30 which can stretch to 8 pm depending on work. Weekends are free for interns but not for associates.
If you are not looking for a PPO/Callback then try to build a good rapport with the associates, they have good work as it is a small team and will provide proper guidance.
Many expanded and now the commercials of it are taking.
Do not despair. Take anything for now. These cycles happen.
Good luck OP!
Things should start looking better soon.
I have recently graduated, started applying a week ago (cold mailing). My area of interest is IP.
Got a couple of call backs and a pattern I recognized is that a major chunk of T2/Boutique IP firms are willing to offer assessment internships for freshers before joining as a full time A0.
My question is, how likely does a firm convert an assessment intern into a full time associate?
Or is it just another “gullible” designation where firms just want someone to get their work done for cheap and end up not hiring them?
I have to put a lot of thought into this because if I decide to join as an assessment intern, I’ll have to task the risk of shifting to new cities, arrange accommodation and travel, etc.
Your feedback and opinions are appreciated.
And LinkedIn? You send out messages trying to connect with recruiters or professionals, and they leave you on “seen.” It's like you don’t even exist. Every job posting wants 2-3 years of experience for an entry-level role, and the whole system feels broken.
The legal industry talks about professionalism, but how professional is it to ghost candidates? No rejection emails, no feedback—just leaving people hanging. You spend hours customizing every application, tweaking your resume, and it all feels like it’s going into a black hole. It's mentally exhausting, and honestly, I’m over it.
Have sat across them, the work quality is not flattering. There are smaller/similar outfits with much better work - Rajaram being one for example. The work culture at LP is not great either from what has been said in this platform.
Pay is prolly anywhere between 4-6 LPA
You need to check the docs for how this is governed. The scheme of arrangement will also have to deal with this generally.
marry if you love marriage.
everything else will work out.
I have worked as associate with t-1 firm. Few things that heard and experience in first 3 months of my joining
1. That these new kid need huge as break in name of holidays don't they see work. Fact check we are using our mandatory leaves not extra. So our leaves our choice
2. You are not available on Saturday and Sunday why isn't it most flaunted fact of SAM and other t-1 firms that Saturday and Sunday are mandatory off are they. Sr saying that we appreciate people taking Saturday and Sunday off
What their to appreciate about isn't what you said to us while offering the job and isn't it same thing that firm claims on LinkedIn and social media platforms a
3. assigning work at the end of the day or weekend - truth about this fact is over commitment without asking the jr. Only delegatiing the work, when the realisation hot upon a SA that he can't do it ( simple word dumping the work when it hard to be done )
4 failure of person joining as Ao is the failure of sr. Reason it was you who failed to guide her or him you can't leave some one without guidance when they have no idea to sail
5 a1- a4 new joined can't replace you stop being rude to them and telling them you can't guide through.with their
2. ibps is an excellent option. also try for sebi in case you are eligible. but dont get tangled in the web of entrance exams. it is a colossal waste of time after a point. you can earn everything back but not your health (with exceptions), reputation (with exceptions) and most importantly time (no exceptions).
3. any such course is at best an add-on. would you care to pay extra for the aisle/window seat and the shit sandwich if your main goal is to fly from a to b? prioritise your health time and money in that order. don't spend money and waste your precious time out of fomo. some courses may be useful but most are usually trash. learn to spot the useful ones. for ex. if you are in bombay and you are interested in securities law and want to pursue a course in it then where should you apply?
4.(bonus) start working with lawyers who practice in nclt and roc if nothing else works. your bad cgpa will not be a factor if you can deliver results. gradually transition to small boutique firms doing the kind of work you are interested in. the only way to compensate for your so called mistakes (which in the long-run may not feel like mistakes-you might even realize they were blessings-in-disguise) is to silently work towards becoming a domain expert by working with domain experts and building a reputation for delivering results. ruthless cost cutting on personal expenses-stringent budgeting-brutal elimination of frivolous expenses-avoid getting married or becoming a parent-do not waste too much money on depreciating assets-avoid saving and learn to make informed investments-make yourself the most well-read person on the domain you are in-interact with relevant firm partners on linkedin-publish your thoughts on the the specific domain in newspapers or your blog or linkedin or your college magazine/publications.

Are we truly on the right path? Because my partner insists that we cannot take leave during hearings, regardless of illness or personal loss, because we are "lawyers." Yet, the partner can freely attend cricket matches or weddings, even when it means seeking adjournments or extensions.
Anyone with the similar experience?
I am a law graduate from Bangalore, shifting to Delhi in the next few weeks to pursue a career in litigation practice (joining a law chamber). I desperately need help regarding the type of clothes women wear in Delhi, especially during the winter. I will be getting my license this month.
1. Winter Protection Clothes – What would be suitable for a professional setting? Can we wear over coats on black blazers? I have never lived in cold weather in my life before
2. Places to Buy Clothes – Could you suggest some decent brands that are not too expensive?
3. Salwar Kameez – Is it allowed in courtrooms?
4. Collar Styles – What kind of collars are commonly used?
5. White Shirts with Black Button Lining – I saw a shirt like this at Westside in the formals section. Are such styles acceptable? After all, we litigation girlies stick only to white, something different in the shirts wouldn't do (teary eyed)?
Thank youu buddies
I am an associate at A2 level in a tier 2 firm. I would like to request your valuable advice on how effective legal recruitment firms like Vahura, Michael Page etc. Also can you apply through more than one recruiter at the same time? I have recently been approached by a lot of legal recruitment firms over the span of a few months and unfortunately none of them so far have led to a fruitful opportunity. What are the implications of I apply to the same firm through 2 different recruiters for different opportunities at different times (say at least 3 months apart)?
Thank you for your time.
There is a systematic issue in not just Big 4's but law firms, consultancies, banks and such places where the end product / service is the result of individual's own efforts
