However, on the talk page, editors continue to insist that Wikipedia is only bound by US laws and the Wikipedia Foundation has issued a statement to this effect. Meanwhile, Wikipedia is facing a contempt notice from the Delhi HC in a defamation case by ANI, for accusing ANI of "propaganda". Justice Navin Chawla has said: “If you don’t like India, please don’t work in India… We will ask government to block your site”.
The ANI article still reads: "ANI has been accused of having served as a propaganda tool for the incumbent central government,[7][8] distributing materials from a vast network of fake news websites,[9][10][11] and misreporting events on multiple occasions.[7][12]"
