They have a really well placed internship cycle across the two batches they have right now.
I talked to a few students over there, they said the college is good.
They even have constant guest visits from tier 1 law firms and in house counsels of pretty big companies, few students also end up interning under the in house counsels. Notably few internships were placed for even boutique law firms, one of the core members(friend of mine) of the placement cell said they will end up placing the 3rd year students at tier 2 and tier 1 law firms by end of 3rd year and start of 4th year.
Apparently firms like Emerson, Crisil (s&p global company), kelloggs, nivea, metro brands and many more are hiring interns from bitslaw, the batch size is small as well, comparing it to the 300+ batch size to the rest of law schools in India. Bits is around 180ish for BA and BBA LLB.
They have poached quite lot of professors from Jindal and few from NALSAR, NLUJ NUJS AND NLS.
All this made me think seriously of the law school, even above Jindal in many aspects. If fees is not a problem def go for Bitslaw i guess
the only problem is they charge way too much money, def not accessible to the middle class and even expensive for the upper class i guess.
fees would be around 12-13 lacs avg for 5 years
and additional expense around 1-2 lacs a year.
Assumed budget should be 65-70 lacs for all 5 years.

In any case, I don't think you want to be doing law firm internships for a while. Build up your experience profile through internships at advocates' chambers and NGOs for a while, before moving into the law firm space. Other than those internships, you want to be doing skill and profile building by publishing articles, taking leadership responsibilities in university student society committees and participating in competitions like ADR, negotiation and mooting. Although the job market is down, NLS still gave great results nonetheless. Ig their RCC is v good
I've never worked on anything like that nor do I have anything to put on my CV for an internship in 1st year, because the school I come from never really had any extracurriculars. Will I fall behind others? Or is it fine?
You can get the IPad Pro on installments. To save money, get the wifi only verson (use phone hotspot), lowest storage (rest do google drive or onedrive - get 1tb it free with an office 365 license). To save even further, take the IPad Air - down specced but still more than enough for daily use.
Android tablets are good and easy to use but sadly liquidtext not available. Now if it does become available then android rules!

Go for the A16 iPad. Don’t buy the Apple Pencil. Instead, get the DIGIROOT pencil from Amazon. It provides all the same functionality that the USB Type-C Apple Pencil offers.
If you're into sketching or drawing, then go for the 1st-generation Apple Pencil, since the USB Type-C version doesn't support pressure sensitivity on the A16 iPad. The DIGIROOT pencil also doesn't have pressure sensitivity, but for taking notes and general use, it's very good and offers similar features at around ₹1,800, much cheaper than the USB Type-C Apple Pencil, which costs about ₹8,000.
The only issue you might face is transferring documents, like PDFs, between the iPad and a Windows laptop. I use Google Drive or iTunes for this.
But overall, the iPad is far better. Please don’t buy an Android tablet, I bought one thinking it could match the iPad’s flexibility and performance, but I was wrong.
the positive thing I can come up with(for jodhpur ) is that it has single rooms(with possible AC) and huge campus , an active VC , pollution free campus
as for NUJS , its top 3 , excellent placements (which idk jodhpur doesn't have that good as referred on internet), in the city , better electives(as I have gathered from internet only)
the reason I am not able to decide on NUJS is the poor living conditions , very small campus , student politics , controversial VC and people claiming NUJS is deteriorating
please help me decide between both of them , I will be really thankful if you answer(please don't answer like set your priorities , I am not able to)
In terms of publications, I have written for several prestigious Indian law blogs as well as some international ones.
There seem to be plenty of options, but still none.
I studied at an NLU, though I was never particularly drawn to law during college, so I didn’t intern much. I know that’s not ideal, but here I am, trying to figure things out.
If I do want to pursue a career in law now, what would be a good way to get started?
I know I have the ability- I'm smart and a quick learner. It's just that I’ve taken a while to figure out what I want.
The corporate law firm route is probably not realistic for me at this point, considering any decent firm wouldn't hire me. But I’m open to most other avenues.
Would starting to intern now be a sensible step?
Any guidance would mean a lot.

Leave other Symbi sister colleges and LPU Manipal BITS type places. Even that 5 year IIM course and NFSU type places you avoid.
Rule of thumb is older the college better the alumni network/ recruiters.
NLUs do not specifically ask either for a Statement of Results or Certificate but if you try to only submit the final certificate and they see the U, they will ask you for the SoR. I guess you can sit for another series, while submitting the undertaking to submit your results later.

Moreover, It's a public platform with anonymity, open for all. If the kid believes he can't join a tier 1, and wants to look for a decent tier 2, good for them. They know themselves. Or, even if it's fake, it still helps people who genuinely want to know the same thing but are afraid to ask. Not everything is a D-measuring contest.
Plus, you setting up GNLU shows that you are the one with a chip on their shoulders. You need to calm your ego down, and be useful. Your rant is helping no one, not even yourself. So participate, or go cry me a river.
All of this isn't to say that NLS isn't great – it still is. On an average, still amazing. Doesn't mean it can't be criticised.
Also, Harvard is a terrible example. While it is very possible to form bonds without being in a residential space, it is equally true that being put into a common living space puts you in a situation to have unexpected encounters, random late-night conversations, closer bonds with friends, doing fuckall together at 2 am. You can't seriously say "some students in Harvard live off-campus doing the law" without acknowledging that: (a) Students doing the law are literal adults in the USA, NOT doing an undergrad and (b) US undergrad is on an average known in popular media, culture, and actual reality to be very focused on college life – a big part of which comes from shared accommodation.
