one cant really count on anyone to act. Your best best is to send complaints to a large number of authorities and hope that someone in the system decides to act. The BCI, state Bar Council, Education Department of the Government , Governor, Chief Justice of the High Court - I mean anyone whom you can remotely think of. thats pretty much your best bet.

Now usually anonymous complaints are not entertained by the system. but then I would advise you not to reveal your identity - we live in a third world, tin-pot republic with no accountability in any form. So, if you reveal your identity, chances are that you will experience a rebuke.

so when sending the complaint, try and attach some evidence in support of your claims. something concrete enough for someone who is willing to take action to act.

The other option is to look for someone influential or a union who can take up your complaint. Usually it's the student unions who do these things . But I suppose in a private university they are all kept out so that the studious environment is not damaged. You can try your luck getting in touch with NSUI or SFI. They may do something if they feel like. ABVP I am not sure - my experience with them has been that they are interested only in pursuing hindutva related stuff. But I guess there is no harm in asking.

These companies often get your details when you apply a "job opening in Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc." which is in itself a violation of the Emigration Act, 1981. They then call you that you are eligible and send you emails. The most common job portals for these fake job openings are Naukri, Linkedin, Monster, etc. among many others and they target high net worth unsuspecting individuals. I have seen these companies are increasingly targeting people working in different roles and sectors in the Information Technology but they are not their only targets.

Based on my experience, they conduct a call using International number in a foreign sounding accent. They call it the counselling round. No matter how you answer, they select you the next day. Then they send you an email for "employment confirmation letter", not job letter. These are some links where you can possibly get "hired". Then they lie all the expenses are going to be taken of by the hiring company (food, can, air tickets, etc.). They then start calling you everyday to start you visa process as soon as possible and even offer heavy discounts and try to pressure you to enrol with 48 hours or something. They say since you have already cleared the "interview", the PR process is gonna be super easy. Every single of these things is just their marketing tactics, nothing else.

Bar council is already over burdened with no time for legal education . Many times people would have tried to complaint to bci about their own college standard but nothing happens . Better would be to approach ugc, or ur state higher education regulator through email .or the Chancellor of univ if it is governor .read the act establishing your uni.

As an author of this thread, love how we finally got a place to discuss everything relevant about this hyped college in bangalore's legal circuits, although they have such over powered personalities studying here, they couldnt capitalise much onto the opportunites and their early presence since 1995, feel gutted and frsutrated being in final year :(, and they behave in a way wherein everything will be served to our plate after final year and no internship and merit culture promoted in college at all.

It is not "stress free". If judges did not take any stress (considering how important their job is in a society), we'd be screwed. Also stress can be varying through the course of one's job, across postings and age/experience. It can also be good stress i.e. motivation to do one's best. It's about perspective.

At present, all senior DJS and all DHJS have accommodation. Earlier judges were allotted housing during training itself.

The problem has arisen with the last three batches of judges. The appointment has been done in high numbers since 2018-2019, without, any construction of houses (or court complexes for that matter). Delhi, in view of its population, needs even more judges, which is why the HC is regularly appointing more judges- but the infrastructure for the new officers is in the hands of executive i.e. delhi govt, and not the HC. There is a clear lack of coordination between the government and the HC. Currently, there are writ petitions ongoing before the HC regarding lack of accomodation, the fruits of which can be seen only in the next 3-4 years.

Having said that - once you get an accommodation, after a few years of waiting, you have it till you turn 60. So it really is a matter of time only.

I was not saying to completely do away with classes. But classes, after a point, become less relevant. 4th year and 5th year can be devoted particially to apprenticeship and partiallly to a few subjects. I vhecked the British system, they do have a 3 year law degree and a professional education after that. Ideally, our 5 year course can easily apply that but all of the 5 years are spent on campus.

So little point in complaining. The odds you face are the odds you face. The smart thing to do is to figure out how to align with them carefully. Also, be careful - you maybe blind to some of Delhi's own biases. Delhi has its own Punjabi cliques.

You need to leverage what you have - on average - many feel the Delhi lawyer is more street smart. The exposure to litigation is useful even in transaction work, it you are in the corporate side. Use that to impress clients.

I am from the batch of 2025 at a private law school. I have done really well in some international moots, have national and international publications and have interned at multiple law firms, yet I'm still unemployed. Unfortunately our college placement scene is not that great and despite our Placement Committee trying very hard, we did not get good opportunities through college. I'm extremely depressed and don't know what to do in life. I have been working really hard since the past two years, trying constantly to upgrade my CV and even almost got placed at a tier one (was told at the very end that they won't hire). I genuinely don't know what to do in life. I'm so scared of what's gonna happen. I really want to be placed at any law firm, preferably in Bangalore, but don't know which firms are still hiring. My family's financial situation is not that great. I'm so done with life and I don't have it in me to keep going anymore. I can't keep interning only to hear a no from them at the end.

I interned there this february for one month in the corp branch, work env was not toxic, but at that point there was not much work. But I do think one should try for tempus or a good chamber in Hyderabad for that matter. I mean there was too much free time some days, never a good sign.

It’s high time we have a policy of one family one reservation, plus one life one reservation, plus rural-first reservation. It means:

- if one of your parents obtained a job through reservation, you should not be allowed to avail of reservation. Otherwise, children of IAS officers will monopolise jobs, instead of poor people in rural areas (from the same community).

- you can only exercise a shot at reservation once. For example if you enter NLSIU using reservation, you cannot use it again to apply for government jobs.

- reservation should be given to urban citizens only if no rural citizen has applied for the same slot.

These policies will maximise the benefits of reservation among such communities.

Stop the unnecessary idealism. Make use of your privilege. Do good with it for society if you have qualms. But if not you, someone else using their privilege will get ahead. And then what they do with that privilege - self-gain or societal value - is not in your hands. So use the privilege. And then do good.

Any educational degree & especially LLB degree should be allowed in online & even in distance mode. Classrooms are OBSOLETE. Only desperate & insecure professors are making people attend by force. These SoB do not want to get that if teaching is good, people will rush for it. Let people have classroom who want but don't cling on others. A fresh law grad from anywhere is not anyway good enough to get even a circulation, forget about arguing the matter.
