So far, I’ve built a good foundation in the Indian Contract Act (till the part on damages). I plan to complete Contract of Agency (Chapter X) soon. Do you think I also need to ensure a solid grasp of Bailment & Pledge (Chapter IX), and Contracts of Indemnity & Guarantee (Chapter VIII) for this interview?
Moreover, for the Companies Act, 2013, apart from basics, I’m covering:
Chapter III – Prospectus & Allotment of Securities
Chapter IV – Share Capital & Debentures
Chapter VII – Management & Administration
Chapter XI – Appointment & Qualification of Directors
Chapter XII – Meetings of Board & Its Powers
Chapter XIV – Inspection, Inquiry & Investigation
Chapter XV – Compromises, Arrangements & Amalgamations
Chapter XVI – Prevention of Oppression & Mismanagement
Chapter XX – Winding Up
Do you think there are other chapters or specific provisions within the Act I should definitely be well-versed with for a securities/capital markets role?
Also, besides SEBI regulations, what else should I focus on for interview prep?
Lastly, from your experience, what’s the best way to prepare for such interviews? And once on the job, what core knowledge or skill sets are most valuable for someone working with a capital markets team?
Any insights or guidance you can share would mean a lot.
ICDR (Schedule VI and IPO over main board), CA2013 (related to issuance of share and it's peripheri), BitS of LODR (for listing compliances) - Capital MarketPFUTP, Insider Trading, Intermediary Regulations, SEBI Act, ( Basically every other regulation that has scope for dispute resolution) - Securities Practice
ARE YOU PREPARING FOR A JOB INTERVIEW WHILE BEING CHASED BY A PACK OF DOGS??? WOOF WOOF?
