Yes, thank you! I would really like to understand the growth prospects in the firm. So anyone from S&R, if they can help out, would be grateful!
Keep interning, ask law firms to give you an assesment internship instead. Apply to boutique law firms, tier 2-3 law firms and use connections if any.
Arun’s team at JSA is low attrition.. juniors have been around for over a decade.
Not unless AI is given the status of a lawyer. Apart from the fact that legal AI capability is nowhere close to a good lawyer, companies can now argue that an action on their part had been prompted by legal counsel. AI advice won't have that advantage.
Deans are just implementing the regulations. The students have a bad habit of considering that every requirement can be relaxed for their sake, courtesy the NKC reign of corruption.
From what I have heard he was a very specialised merger control lawyer and knew his matters inside out.
So if companies get crazy legal AI Tech plugins, that means they will rely more on cheap softwares rather than outsourcing it to firms, or atleast cut their billing? So will this not lead to firms hitting low revenues?
Not stop, but will go down. Like instead of 10 people, they will take 5-6.
Downtime- as usual. Will start getting busy from March/April on wards and will hit the peak in September. Then will start setting reaching its minima in Jan/Feb, and cycle continues.
Can someone share the internship experience at Mumbai office, how are associates, work nature, timings etc
That’s valid but I’m keeping law clerk/researcher on one side and chamber practice on the other because both involve same type of experience so the question still remains
Bump. Their AI courses are the Bomb. Recently their AI even replaced their Communications professor.
Will only money do for NUS even if I don't have the academic record ? Cause for Jindal money is more than sufficient even if you're a dumb person.
Firms are not getting matters anymore.

Partners are merely decorative, doing only BD work and not arguing.

No learning i fear.
I'm a final year student from a mid-tier NLU with decent grades and good internships. Don't have any PPO prospects so far and I graduate in April. Does it make sense to keep interning post April? What are my other options?
VC is just careful after the last two experiences. He has appointed the deans. They will take the blame. Generally, they have been creating havoc and he has hardly been around to ever set things right.
Only one's rich and relevant enough to have interacted with a billionaire circle club in the 2010s are the Amarchand's or Khaitan's and neither of those 2 families are mentioned in the files so this is 1000% fake.
A whole book should be written on how NLIU has declined from being one of the best to the worst. Combination of bad admin, timid students, increased reservation, a disinterested government and a second NLU in the same state, which took away funds
PV & KJ both have left from the Fintech and FSR team. RJ also left. SRL marketing team needs to stop this stupid propaganda and realise people and do a quick search in linkedIn and find out themselves.
Is this batch running behind due to the market or something? These numbers look less given its almost march
I am the guy who asked this question,
Neither "law firms nor Chambers", ended up in SC Clerkship – lol. Destiny takes its own course.
San Francisco is where meth addicted (and non addicted ones too) whites poop on the road. So that's quite a low bar
I work at SRL. PV, KJ and RJ were all associates. Just do basic LinkedIn search and you will know that.
I don't see. I am blinded by arrogance and blinkers. Plus my head is so far up my employers ass that I can't see, hear or smell anything that they don't want me or expect me to smell, hear or see.
Be happy that you get to carry that visiting card. Salary bands are there for show.
It opened my eyes and soon I am leaving the greed infested lala shop hole where I am currently working.
Take a partial drop if you want or just remain in the top 15-20 of your batch and placement won't be a problem for you.
Got out the "system" before I sunk in. (was at a T1 for a year after grad). Now I am with a senior and life has been so much better!
if you get a chance, please try to work with Shivani Goel. Very senior, and lots to learn from her.
I recon you're talking about ICICI probably. Others may not be paying this much specially when PSBs are paying about 13 LPA to freshers
I mailed many partners and I don't know which one forwarded my Resume
Bumping, can this please be pinned @LI@Kian, it wud be nice for more people to add their insights and salaries
please take the drop and study hard, even sls pune would not be worth it, speaking as an sls p student
I really want to secure a PPO by next semester or atleast get good internships on my cv before day z. Any idea on what teams or firms are on a hunt so I can plan my internships better :)
Ex intern here

The firm has decent work in terms of number

People are also good
Jurisphere is ▮▮▮ - ▮▮▮ good for translation work. It does not have good drafting skills and more than once, I have seen it hallucinating; would prefer ChatGPT over it any day given its range of work.
Citing legal provisions doesnt nearly count as efforts. I'm pretty sure the OP meant district court jurisdiction over writs similar to constitutional courts - HC and SC, analogous to federal district courts in the U.S.A.
Ive literally seen female interns create very close connections with seniors at T1 law firms quickly and also get offers frequently, its genuinely so easy for them to network, meanwhile seniors do not even put efforts towards a dignified response for me.
Pallav Shukla's team in Trilegal Delhi is good! Interesting work. Overall team is professional to deal with. You can work with Srishti Khare there. She is a good mentor and does good arbitration work.
Trilegal and tta have started giving out poos to bo'27.
tbh the British govt deserves kudos. Would anyone this big in India ever be arrested???
Kian too is mentioned in the files. Unfortunately, mods redacted it. We need to petition the mods to release the files!
THis is the first time hearing about civil suits for enforcement of FR. How does that even work? Can you please share any historical example or modern day relevance??
any insights on the team? culture, quality of work and wlb? do they have vacancies for lateral hires?
District courts are dull places where nothing ever happens™. Ergo you can learn nothing.
This was hand-written. Consume less slop, ▮▮▮. Just because it uses better language than ▮▮▮ does not mean it has to be AI like all the writing you submit 🤣
Anybody have insights on KCO’s Competition Law practice in Mumbai? Culture? Quantum of work? Are they hiring?
Does having certification from NISM really help in getting accepted into merchant banks? How do lawyers get into the same without CS degree or NISM LLM?
I think there is a lot of free time that people have to start a conversation about a move of a senior associate. Is it free time or is it jealousy? Or both ?

Get back to work, please and make a difference.
Damn, this would be crazy. Waiting for someone to post names (with proof, as per moderator note).
For Freshers:

Most firms like JSA, KCO, SAM and CAM pay between 45k to 60k per month for freshers.Firms like AKLC, Vivriti and h&b pay 35k.

Senior Counsels pay between 25k and 60k
Hi, peeps I landed an internship at Jerome Merchant for the month of April, how is the work culture there and in order to continue there as a paralegal or get a call back what should be my approach
Who are the good partners in their Delhi office. What is the Delhi office environment like?
Classic law graduate thinking the world is only either corporate law or litigation. A law degree only teaches you think critically, you don't have to be stuck in such narrow horizons.
The question is who do you complain to? Bc the bcd is plain notorious to have any decency.
T1 cap marks lawyers, how's the IPO market? Are T1 firms getting mandates? How are the working hours? I am currently an GC T1 lawyer seeking to move into capital markets
I dont know stg is up, all tier 1s are completely silent on PPOs
NUJS 3 PPOs so far- 1 TT&A, 1 Trilegal, and 1 AZB. Plus 1 Vac scheme.
As someone who spent most of his time in T1, its full of kids with no experience and some smattering of seniors. Most leave when they reach an understanding of law firm economics.
Agreed with the persons being great to work with: however, do through research about the persons in the team, and the attrition rate
hello, im so stuck, i have done my best to revamp my cv and everything but it has never been shortlisted. i could use your advice on the same.
Not too much tbh. You can try to convey prestige about your top NLU by mentioning the CLAT rank you got as an achievement, but what matters more is being at the top of your cohort and everything else you mentioned. Have seen people from local colleges land Harvard too.
hii,i got 13k {gen} rank in clat, and have filled nfsu form for bba llb from delhi ..ho jayega kya? and what was last year cutoff?? and last year 2 seats were vacant for unreserved category toh uska kitna cutoff gya tha?
hii clear hua kya tumhara? mera 13k rank aaya hai..i have applied for bba llb in delhi campus
Anand Prakash Mishra, he’s the Vice Dean of Admissions at JGLS. He had really well informed takes on entrance exams and law school education, especially if it concerns JGLS!
