And CAM only for cartridges with no fire power, who won't say much and will obediently listen to the High & Baba Command(s)

SAM really seems to be attracting the top guns whereas CAM seems to be getting whatever wherever

Not really a big gun. Except Dow, has done nothing exceptionally great in the last many years. Also, if rumor is to be believed, Dow is still sticking with Duas. High cost for SAM and no returns.

You seem to have intimate details... Are you the managing partner who tried to hire her but failed or a head hunter?

No blow at all. Neither her absence nor your duas will make any difference.

But it doesn't make sense. Why recurit in Delhi office when you already have an established team in lit? Fear of CAM doing better?

Time for others to feel the punch that is coming their way.

I thought SAM had a Delhi lit practice - clearly finding the need to ramp up or getting rattled by CAM's new focus on litigation. Wonder how many more practice areas SAM will have to strengthen in Delhi!

I don't think anyone at SAM except Delhi MP and Executive Chairman make 10 cr PA. The litigation equity partners most certainly don't. Bhai 10 cr may even be higher than some of their team targets! Some money they'll give to associates also no?
Kidding right? 6 Jun 2015, 08:05

10 Cr. Seriously? That would make her recovery target 30 Cr. (assuming a 3X recovery target). I think whoever gave you the amount needs to be slapped. Its sad that people dont even think twice before floating such absurd figures.
vanquished 6 Jun 2015, 11:02

that figure is over-exaggerated.

It should be below the 5cr mark if am right! How much is Akshay Chudasama being paid by SAM? he certainly is a star!
That 10cr mark i guess has originated from the comments section of B & B.

Everyone gets paid in crores these days, is it? When did lawyers loose the value of zero. This is almost what Mukesh Ambani draws!! Get a reality check.

I have no idea who much Shiraz is being paid by SAM. I believe she was billing around 10 cr at Dua and a big portion of her revenues came from Dow Chemicals, which may not switch loyalties from Mr. Dua to Shiraz. She was the highest billing Partner at Dua and she will find it difficult to bill the same at SAM unless Shardul gives her some new clients. Nevertheless, Shiraz was the de-fato head of litigation for the whole of Dua, which has a strong brand and presence in Bangalore and Chennai. Both these branches have very strong litigation practices, especially Chennai. It is very likely that Shiraz will get all Dua litigators from Bangalore and Chennai to move to SAM, which needs to bulk up in these cities. If she manages to do so, she will easily justify a pay packet of 10 cr.
