1. Are there any advantages or benefits of having done LLM? Are people with masters degree given more preference at the time of hiring?
2. Would an LLM give an advantage only if pursued from specific universities, if yes, then which?
3. Up till what PQE could one consider it being worth doing LLM?
3. What are majorly the factors one should consider for the above?
I remember people used to be scared of him because he used to look serious and intense all the time, but that's more perception than reality. He used to work quite hard and spent a lot of time working directly with associates.
He's definitely one of the smarter and nicer partners and it's good to see him doing well.
Kindly also share the internship experience in the disputes resolution team?
Not providing specific details but building on to the illustration - if you will question โฎโฎโฎ that sun cannot be orange. โฎโฎโฎ won't say anything to you at that time but โฎโฎโฎ will carry it in her heart and make your life miserable.
New exam policy has been implemented without being notified. No one dared to question that.
GBM was conducted for hostel rules and 3 year LLB, again no one was there in GBM.
YOU GUYS JUST TALK ON LI, CAN'T DO ANYTHING.

I am a final year LL.B. student at the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. I have interned in law firms and offices of Advocate on Record in New Delhi in disputes/litigation team. I am looking forward to securing long-term internships in law firms and later pre-placement offers.
Please suggest to me a few firms/senior advocates which hire fresh law graduates and pay decent in disputes resolution team especially arbitration.
As you serve as a junior to a senior working for corporate matter or IP litigation in HC and you are in direct touch with client (which you would) then after a long period (while you are compensated nicely) you have a chance that client recognizes you for your efforts that you are putting up for them.
Then later, there is a chance that out of many clients you are in direct touch with decided to move on with you only. That's how 'boutique firms' open. Even if otherwise, your pay is somewhere around 80k-1L after 5 years. While its not as fair as other practice area, but at least its not a desk job. You argue and get the satisfaction of being a lawyer for which you actually did the law school.
Sometimes you get a very good senior. Fortunately I am working under such senior who prioritise work-life balance and also a great mentor.
The idea is that you are secured that you are getting paid decent. When I say getting paid decent, I mean 30k-40k as fresher. If you wish to find such clientele based senior, then its better to track them through HC cause list. (I gave 0 efforts in typing this reply, so please pardon my English and writing style).
Hope it helps :-)

Which one should we switch to?
If you want another Indian language, we can talk in English.
Firstly Kirkland, Weil, skadden, cravath and the likes are US BIGLAW firms which do not hire juniors out of Law school. Only linklaters, hsf, cc and a0 have been. These firms are tier 2 in respect of pay in London. Mostly in 110 to 125 range compared to the 150 to 175 range of the former.
Second, after the new system of qualifying two exams before beggining the tc, u have to wait too many years to begin ur career and also spend ur own money.
It's much easier and safer to work in t1s in india and then lateral in 4 5 years to Kirkland or the likes
I've definitely heard cases of colleges enforcing curfews for girls, why not put a curfew of 9 pm for the boys and then let the girls party? Seems fair enough
This is a breaking and unprecedented event in GNLU, more updates to follow.
If she says that the sun is not sun but orange. You should say, "yes it is.. should I pluck it? Would you like to eat?"
1. Don't venture out alone at night
2. Avoid shady places
3. If you are a female and for any reason if you have to use an uber at night, make sure that you speak on phone to a friend and tell him/her the car number such that the cabbie hears the conversation
4. Traveling by autos is safer than ola uber
5. Make acquaintance with shop owners around your society - sabzi vala, kirana vala. These guys generally are locals who have resources to help when you are in triuble
heard that the freshers are facing ragging and even after complaining to the authorities no actions are being taken?
Boys were made nkd.
Having an abusive senior is a common problem and it can be sorted out. It's only a mind game. Play it.
On top of that, with the massive influx of students, exodus of good faculty and mass hiring of mediocre ones, poor amenities, unhygienic food, claustrophobic and cramped hostels, and exorbitant fees which no longer makes any sense, it might be appropriate to say that Jindal had a good experiment going on but looks like it is the new, if somewhat marginally more sophisticated, version of Amity and Lovely.
P.S: They have even removed individual faculty pages, and clustered all faculty names as a list on their websites.
I would boycott all social events on campus until the boys behaved better. Get some self respect.
Why do people think work shouldnโt be hard or they wouldnโt make mistakes ? Thatโs the point of work- it is hard- especially when you spend five years doing nothing at all in law school even getting up in the morning and showing up on time would feel hard. But that doesnโt mean itโs an unreasonable expectation. And you will make mistakes and those will get pointed out - some seniors may have a warm touch but others might not have the time or the inclination to baby you. They may point out your mistakes or errors quite brusquely and go on their way. The senior who doesnโt baby you is actually teaching you. The person who tells you to finish your work before you leave to go get drinks with your friends is holding you freaking accountable.
This is what happens when you take complicated ideas in psychology, disability, and gender studies and then put them on Instagram. Genz is very sure of their own righteousness and politics - but they donโt see the cruelty of calling everything they donโt like abusive and toxic.
Of course, LI shall have naming censorship, so be creative. I'll go first:
1. A โฎโฎโฎ "โฎโฎโฎ โฎโฎโฎ" as per โฎโฎโฎ magazine, who actually leaks client's classified information to regulators so that โฎโฎโฎ can make more money out of their troubles. This highest earning "โฎโฎโฎ" partner also has the highest attrition rate cause โฎโฎโฎ makes people work 18 hour days and then blames them for โฎโฎโฎ own shortcomings.
Amidst, many Maladministration, these steps, only for NAAC.
Registrar's appointment is questionable.

THE NEXT MORNING:
AZB owners (after switching on their computers and cellphones): "MAADARCH...."
Toxicity in my view would refer to how conducive the work environment is for you to function. Is asking someone to work 12-15 hours toxic, when that's the industry standard and you know is required/ expected out of you before you join the profession?
If a client is demanding a deliverable in an unreasonable time , is it toxic if the partner expects the team to work and meet the deadline?
For some all these may be signs of a toxic environment but for someone who really wants to make a mark - these are expectations one has to meet.
Can you fight against them? Yes for sure. Will it bring a change? Most probably not. Not at an associate level (have to meet the partner/ senior associate 's expectation), not at a senior associate level (has to meet the partner and client's expectation), not at a partner level (has to meet the client's demands). At a client level? No, they'd rather go to some other law firm who is ready to pounce on the client.
Sorry if this also sounds "toxic" but this industry really is a "man eat man" world.
"The second objection was that the Indian entities in India would lose their hold over young lawyers as once the foreign lawyers and firms enter the Indian market, they will emerge as the first choice for internship and jobs considering their pro-employee policies, pay, work environment and professionalism."

Better work at beer factory !
FYI, your boss was looking for you while you went out for commercial break and hooked on to LI.
Can anyone shed some light what is the meaning of this word and what should be right basis of declaring a firm as toxic.
As far as I know every other profession has some more or less same hectic stories.
And while you are at the point of showing off if one is motivated solely by creature comforts and donโt know jack shit about the engine and driving dynamics then merc is the best bet as they do the best interiors and have the most comfort features among the German Trio.
For example, If I have worked on a concession agreement, do I need to memorise the nitty gritty of the terms, or does a bird's eye view work ?
Also, what other readings can be done ?
Trilegal. Cos they pay well
dude compare it with the 2025 wale. also the number of internships they bagged with T-1s is unlike any other batch before. I think hardly anyone in 2026 is doing T1 in 5th sem.
