We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Moreover, a batch will always have a mix of poor, mediocre and brilliant student. This is where the difference comes in form a brilliant professor. A geniunely passionate professor will turn the tides around for the poor and medicore. But a lazy one will non chalantly
Basically think of any sector with a lot of non-Indian owned companies they are used to paying obscene USD fees so they pay a lot to inhouse resources.
Where as in other sectors such as IT, Manufacturing basically wherever legal is seen as a cost and not actually helpful salaries are low and hikes are poor you can only get a good hike when switching or where the company is really desperate.
You should be excited and motivated to try out everything come out in fintech, and see how regulations that come change the products and how different fintechs deal with same issue in different ways.
I meet many lawyers who want to become crypto./web3 lawyers but have not even tried using DeFi or any smart contracts.
That is the biggest gap in fintech/TMT lawyers in India.
12 LPA - cash in hand. CTC around 15 LPA.
Faizan Mustafa is shortlisted in AMU for VC. That's much bigger than CNLU or any NLU.
VCV will become VC in any NLU better or worse than HNLU. Where is the choice?

Salaried/Junior Partner - Strategizing the execution of the mandate and attending client calls.
PA/Counsel - Answerable to the salaried/senior partners and handle the entire deal execution.
SA - Answerable/give the 80% finished deliverables to the PA/Counsel who handle the rest after back and forth with the salaried partners.
Associate - Due diligence, research, filing and execution.
Intern (Merit) - Assist the associates with the research/due diligence. Not given filing and execution work unless they are on assessment basis due to confidentiality of the deal.
Intern (Contacts) - Mostly their parents are the clients so they go for multiple rounds of coffee, 100 smoke breaks and are later given the PPO.
Harsh as this sounds, this is more pronounced in RRβs chamber, and Iβll tell you why. Of the names mentioned above, RR has the widest range/ potential talent pool to choose from. Thus, even the elites that join him, more often than not, come with solid credentials. And I say this with responsibility. Look at Karan Lahiri (a name on this list - https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/299408-seniors-in-1-lakh-range#comment-299496). He was RRβs chamber junior once upon a time.
So, stop wasting your time on LI, bitching about nepo kids, and get your act together.
Dare I say, networking at a Karkadooma or Rohini Court Canteen is time better spent.
Know where you are from. Accept what you've got. Put your head down and focus on the work - irrespective of whether your litigation career, however long / short, gives you a run-of-the-mill bail/divorce, etc, or a high-profile EPC Contract claim/ IP infraction, etc.
Focus on your Karma and bringing food to YOUR table.

No!
1) Most teachers are inexperienced and donβt even teach the most basic parts of the subjects they teach. A lot of good teachers have left recently. Now the teachers who are teaching there are people who are pursuing PHDs from GNLU. Theyβll leave soon if theyβre good.
2) Placements are a nightmare. The placement cell is lazy and didnβt even approach any law firms for placements for the last two years. The placement record is absolutely awful. This year only 4/240 students are going to tier-1 law firms and they also got it via a PPO.
3) The college is not at all supportive in terms of co-curricular, extra-curricular and attendance. The rule is 85% and they are pretty rigid about it at times. Hence, students canβt pursue side internships as well because classes go on till 4PM from 9AM in the morning.
4) Life in Ahmedabad is difficult because a lot of firms in Ahmedabad are at max capacity and donβt easily take interns or give offers to people. Plus itβs not a city like Mumbai or Delhi or Bangalore where opportunities are endless.
5) The infrastructure is a hoax. The law building is a very small part of the overall university campus. Not enough classes so students are seated in seminar halls, reading rooms, etc.
So the crux is that academics are bad, zero support, and most importantly placements are at an all time low with the highest campus placement being that of 10 LPA (CTC).
The one thing that Nirma teaches a law student is to manage everything on their own. This is why you see Nirma recently performing fairly well in Moots, Debates, ADR and Publications. Very few of the batch of 300-320 (Yes new batches are of this size now) are doing good now.
Parali( stubble) burning by farmers in Punjab and Haryana was amin reason. while blaming Diwali very easy. Nasa has even relased many maps for observing stubble burning that have happening way before 2013. It very easy to blame on Diwali than to ponder why all pollution jn specifically Delhi js happened.

taught us economics - should not have, used to regurgitate what he read in the morning
taught us international law - extremely passable
By what standards is he a good teacher? has something changed?
Kejriwal told him it's Modi jis fault and this gullible lawyer larped on it. It literally will cost 30 Crores for artificial rains to clean entire NCR, but Kejriwal again wouldn't spend that and beg CG for it, just like his Punjab government won't shell out a penny to stop stubble burning and beg the CG.
Then, under All India Rank 70 you can expect GLC/ILS.
Cutoff drastically changes in MHCET, and as OMS carries only 24-24 seats in GLC and ILS, so work hard and ace it.
Cut off marks trend past years:
2019: 110-112
2020- 112
2021- 127 ( As exam was very easy, they asked questions like, "Taj mahel is situated on which river")
2022- 110
Above cut off marks are for OMS, MHCET is a game of luck for OMS. No matter how much you are prepared, but this is what it is.
(I've prepared for various Law entrance, and got a rank of Under 50 in MHCET 2022, however, I gave this exam in 2021 as well, and even was more serious back then, but didn't got GLC bcz of 127 marks cutoff for OMS)
2. Never join any other college, except GLC/ILS. Even think twice before these two too.
Have a nice day.
Unka hi ek nepo lawyer, ex minister bola tha ki law me fail hona bahut mushkil hai.
ROFL
@OP:which sr pls? Is he paying good? Work hours?
Why do u want to switch to firm now?
2. For Indian formals, you can wear suits, again solids and simple prints. Or you can pair kurtas with pant style bottoms (avoid palazzos).
3. For shoes, go with close toed black/nude pumps or block heels or ballet flats. 2-3 inches max. If you have to walk a lot in your commute avoid uncomfortable shoes.
4. The best tip I received from my seniors was βmonkey see monkey doβ. Wear what you see the female associates wearing and replicate that. Dress like an associate and carry yourself with confidence.
Only these people talk like this positively.
Wo bhi international law me
P.S. ~ Intern baabu aap bhi bata sakte ho.
London me uska 3rd marriage karwa diya mudiya ji ne aur yaha UCC.
Anyone opposing Islamic terrorism is a Sanghi now? FYI I have zero respect for Sanghis
P.S. All of them are state universities. Haha. Not central, not INI, can barely get a NAAC A++ and the general public doesn't even know them. It's all frog in a pond scenario here. Bwahahah.
