We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.
Note that what you find here is written and moderated by anonymous people on the internet.

1. Jindal is much better than Munjal and also has the most foreign profs. You will like it better there and you will meet like-minded people. Also, if you are white (as opposed to Indian-American) you get preferential treatment in terms of salary. If you are white AND have a degree from Oxbridge or Harvard, you will get red carpet treatment.
2. Jindal offers a lot of academic freedom (certainly in comparison with government universities). However, there is fatigue setting in, both among students and management, with the large number of left-wing human rights profs recruited and the repetitive, ideologically driven nature of their electives. Adding to this the Modi government has been pressurising Jindal to focus more on STEM and business, after various comments by professors were leaked on social media. Thus, you would do better to teach hard law courses instead of woke courses on human rights, intersectional justice, critical race theory, caste, decolonisation, Kashmir, Palestine, Foucault, Marx etc.
Thoughts?
Please give it a read. Happy to chat further. I want to help people struggling with obesity having been through that same journey myself. Hope it's helpful. All the best - Neela
Why make a course outline entirely based on ICAI syllabus? Shouldn't the syllabus be more of laws than numerical?
Initiating conversations- just cold email HR at Jgls/ pritam at bml, sudhir at nls.

Intellect in law is all about knowledge and application. Knowledge comes from reading - judgments, commentaries, books, bare acts, articles. Application will come from practice - writing that article, that research paper, that opinion on a complex issue.
Trust me, even seasoned lawyers don't get everything right the first time, and they make a lot of changes to the first draft of their legal opinion, as the complex law these days starts to make sense when you have already spent a lot of time thinking about it.
For 1st gen Lawyers who think they have had an above-average trajectory, what is the amount of money that you guys make? We all know that the figures are subject to a lot of factors but I just want to know the number along with the rationale or the factors that helped you get there.
If there is anyone who has switched from a firm to litigation, then their input will be of tremendous help!
Can anyone share a good format for the same or give any tips/experience.
Better do homework before commenting.
All the best :)
Course structure for CS revolves around corporate law, so that's a better choice.

However I feel that consortium should have been or must be more alert by the kind score they got , selection from an unknown coaching centre, same place, poor performance in other coaching centres mocks test, not getting rank even in 2000 in similar kind of test AILET and rank of below 100 in clat exam and that state produced 4 selection below 10 that year which never had 4 - 5 selection in the first 100 before or after . Truth can not be washed away .

We are not only marking this entire thread trollish but also actively urging each one of you to not indulge in rumours related to apparent ‘scams’.
Bro this is the same condition in every law firm, or corporate organisation for that matter, only a few manage and have control in all affairs. BTW SnR pays much hire than CAM or SAM at senior levels.
If you are the sole earner and need to take care of your mother and pets, I would recommend staying in a firm for a bit longer, building up 15-20 lakhs, and then switching to litigation. In Bombay, you can save up to 5-6 lakhs as an A0 (on the old pay scale) so in 2-3 years you should be able to save 15-20 lakhs imo. Since you live with your mother in Delhi, you might be able to save a little bit more (Bombay rents are insane - not that Delhi rents are cheap).
Thankfully I have parental financial support. Otherwise, it is very hard to survive on a pure litigation salary. More importantly, knowing that I have some savings to fall back upon keeps me relatively stress free.
Whenever you switch to litigation, make sure you join bosses who are good people. That makes all the difference in a long term game like litigation.
Good luck, and hope to see you in court!
