I'm in the 4rth year and firms are saying they hire in the final year because hiring scenario is clearer. But yaha aao toh freeze.
However the horrors of delhi crime on women is incomparable.
Shameek is chill provided you work. Notes the seniors will have
1️⃣ To Read and interpet Law-
🔹To Focus on reading diverse laws and in depth (bare act, rules, notification, circular , case law)
❎Reality - You wont get time to read much in practise Or in litigation.
❎Reality - in litigation, you will also have tough time to build competent team of juniors as they will either move out soon or wont be able to pay as clients dont pay much.
❎Reality - Not able to read file and law gives no work satisfaction
2️⃣ To Practise law in best forums -
🔹Because reading has no value. Knowledge should be translated into action. Enforcement of law is the goal.
❎Reality - raipur does not have many forums , no use of reading securities , insurance and corporate law.
❎Reality - Opposite party may cite any random overruled case law and Court may rely on it.
❎Reality - Cant move to Munbai or delhi for a long time due to family and home here. Mumbai is costly too.
3️⃣ To Get Relief for clients in a time bound manner
🔹Again, knowledge is useless until relief is sought for the client.
❎Reality - Even if I win a civil case , I will have serious trouble in execution case. Also, often after 10 years in Trial court, case may go another round of litigation for several years in HC
4️⃣ To become skilled & reach the top position
🔹Be it designated sr adv or a Justice or a recognized lawyer by SC
❎Reality - No way to reach the top. Too much competition. Too much fighting for files.

Specialized teams (PEI) - HSA Advocates, Phoenix Legal, Link Legal
Star teams - Khaitan, JSA, Luthra
It's Shyel Trehan and Dia Kapur, not the other way.
How does Shameek Sen mark in media law? Seniors reply anonymously plz
It all depends on how much toh want it.
Or you can take a gamble and leave job for a year. But make sure to get a job immediately if you fail any stage of the exam. Because once you're in this competitive stage you will not realise how one year become five. It's a vicious circle.
No matter where you go, the chances will always be slim irrespective of the number of vacancies since the population, especially in current times with a younger population, will outweigh vacancies.
Despite having large vacancies, a lot of states are just not worth it. I have friends in UP, Bihar & MP who absolutely hate their work due to the audience they have to cater to. OP be careful, if you don't like that state you will not be able to work there despite clearing it. And that would be worse feeling to not enjoy your career that you worked so hard for to clear.
Also, whether the candidates are 2 or 200. It's still gonna be tough. That's why it's a "competitive" exam.
As for UGC NET etc, these are stupid comments. Even Sudhir copies the Jindal model and hires only NLU alumni with foreign LLMs. Please look at the TLC BALLB-desi LLM products teaching at other NLUs. The majority of them are very mediocre. Ask anyone at NLSIU, NUJS and NALSAR to compare people like Sid Chauhan and Sourav Bhattacharya with some of the TLC-desi LLM "gems".

But seriously, name few things which made your life easier?
Welcome to the real world!
At a college that does not have guaranteed campus placements (broadly, anything newer than GNLU), your GPA is largely the first thing that could get you some average internships. Out of those average internships, you'll have to work hard to get recommendations and references to better internships. In the best case scenario, this should continue till you get expressions of interest in offers from partners at firms that you can see you yourself working at.
Now, of course, good moots, papers etc provide some added value to your CV, but it's mostly about the networking opportunities that they provide, and how you could use those to convert them into internships and beyond.
But, all of the above can be truncated correspondingly depending upon whether you already have networked contacts from your family, friends and the like.
At the end of the day, from a college like yours in a market like today's, even a mathematically perfect GPA can only serve as a facilitating entry point to an internship. Beyond that, your hard work will have to shine. All the best!
Can anyone suggest Corporate Internships or would be able to refer me. I had gotten that internship after 3 months of follow-ups. Managing an internship in 15 days seems impossible. I need help, any suggestions would be great.

If your college is funding it, go for it, a trip is worthwhile. Some of most cherished law school memories are of these comps/ trips.
Summer schools are largely useless (except for networking and holidaying).
If you are from a T1 and are largely guaranteed a placement because of your rank, internships won't matter much in the long run. If your internships will play a key role in your impending placement, go for that.
In a nutshell: go for the experience that will matter more 5+ years down the line. For me, if I knew that my professional career was sorted regardless of the internship, I would do the moot, as that is what I would cherish more than a random internship in law school.
Their separation was on account of the intrinsic differences between Shyel Kapur and Dia Trehan. Shyel Kapur wanted to expand to the South and start with an office in Mumbai. Dia Trehan however thought that it was better to look at the global south and open an office in Singapore instead given the scope of arbitration.
They ultimately decided that it was best to have two offices - one in Sundar Nagar and the other in DefCol.
Also heard rumours about a cash crunch. Maybe that explains why Ms. Kapur opened an office in Sundar Nagar instead of Mumbai / Singapore.
How bored is the OP to think about such stuff?
So if the idea is prepare only for UK or HP judiciary then I'll recommend you, don't.
The chances are really slim, if you aren't from state even if you qualify the pre and mains there will be some bias against you at the time of interview.
Can someone spill the tea on what led to this separation?
thoda sa envious but fair, good for her. if I had any contact, I too would use.
