We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.

Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
PS: Not even a single one i got from contacts.
Then why am I not getting placed or even an Assessment Internship?
That said, I wouldnβt personally ask people to stay away myself.
And this is for everyone, not only for the above. Please also mention what you did about it, how much you succeeded and what are the things you accepted. Let's share this as well.
The same goes for post about Tanmaya Mehta. Especially saying "he learnt something from his FIL". What did he learn that people cannot learn from relatives? Is such a post to be allowed?
Neither Anirudh nor Tanmaya will care two hoots about this, but is this what LI should become?
LegallyIndia is just a trolling website otherwise.

I really want to expand my practice area and want to practise in the best courts and Tribunals where intricate and beautiful questions of law are interpreted and argued from both sides. I feel very restricted here in my native place and suffocated. I want to learn and practise in diverse areas of law and argue.
This thirst for knowledge is also making it tough for me to be here.
However , like many I don't come from an established family of lawyers having no clue where and how to go about things. As far as Delhi , Mumbai, Chennai & Hyderabad is concerned - it is brimming with best talents with best resources and network. I am not sure if I can make it.There is a possibility that I will have to come back even if I shift to a better city wasting time and money.
Pls kindly guide me. Where to go ? How to go ? My goal is to work on diverse areas of law (Civil , criminal , commercial , corporate , tax ) and to appear in best forums amongst the best brains of the country.
My goals are :-
1) to work in diverse areas of law and in depth
2) in best forums
Pls help me by telling a way , a path and if this is feasible or a fantasy ! Pls tell me pay at sr adv chamber !
What is wrong with Partners. Were they never A0?????????
Specifically the B&F team.
An estimate would also do.
Looking forward to more perspectives on this amazing question!
Rape too are either done by these people or someone known to woman.
Only better enforcement of law and reduction in corruption can save India, otherwise there is no way out.
I have decent GPA, decent publications at NLU blogs and a few litigation internship at small firms. I have been applying to mid-tier and boutique corporate law firms but I am either ghosted by them or the slots are always full. I have no idea how to navigate and grab good internships this semester so that big firms atleast consider me for internship interviews next year onwards.
I do not aim at working for a tier 1 firms as of now because it seems like a far fetched dream considering the situation I am in right now. Please help me formulate a plan and help me in grabbing a PPO at mid-tier/ tier 2 firms before In graduate.
Any inputs and guidance would be highly appreciated.
Thank You!
But GNLU and NLUD have steadily improved over the years. Would love to know more of the pros and cons of both these two institutions.

2. He must definitely be underlining cases and paras relevant to case at hand.
3. His associates will also be underlining texts relecant to briefs assigned to them
4. As far as remembering page no. of a case is concerned, he must have done it deliberately to impress the intern. A cheap ploy designed by Sr Advs to showcase how brilliant and magnanimous they are
This is followed in almost all IPR firms.
Unless you have to think for 10 minutes before opening the door as to how to save yourself from that random hand touching your private parts again today, like everyday, for the 27th year in your life, it is easy to do the whataboutism about the false cases.
Steer clear.
You should politely say that you are not comfortable discussing this. Dont care about what they think.
this interim vc was a decent prof, led a very successful centre, was examinations dean. everybody thought this new vc (from andhra uni) was going to be a puppet vc. but since he's come, the prof's name was removed from the list of past vcs (the sign board that hangs in vc cabins usually). she was removed as dean of exams, and now has been served a termination letter.
new vc has called her 'psychotic' and 'she has become mentally ill herself' (one of her children is mentally challenged. fuck him, fuck people losing their jobs like this, especially after making a shit centre in a shit nlu rise to such ranks. sure, sudha had the fiasco at the end of her tenure where she victim shamed some victims of sexual assault, but much people have gotten away with worse.
atleast she should have been not left jobless. she has challenged it in labor court. i hope the shit nlu loses.
I am heavily inspired by the senior mentioned by one of the commenters in this thread-

If you are asking if law firms serenade a gc with off sites. Yes.
Have I taken it? No
Do most people do? Yes. That's one way corruption enters this game
The same students then struggle basics of subjects in professional life despite scoring 80+ in college.
Similarly Atul's elective used to get scrapped, even SKB's elective, Chengappa Sir's elective, Shouvik's, Vaneeta, Kavita, Soumya Sahin, Faisal's elective got scrapped in last 2 years.
What is common amongst all these- demand hardwork for the subject and mark as per merit.
1. The quality of life is certainly better than Mumbai or Delhi simply because of lesser pollution.
2. There is a deep ecosystem for startups in Bengaluru so if you want to ever take the dip and start your on own new age business, blr is the place.
3. Again, since it is the IT hub of the country and you are moving in-house, finding relevant work will not be a problem if you decide to move on from your current company.
4. Culturally- you might not feel at home in the beginning but there are many ethnic groups that peacefully co-exist in bangalore so it has a cosmopolitan and progressive outlook. Bangalore accepts people.
P.S. If you are interested in languages and can pick up workable knowledge of Kannada, it will make the process of staying and making the city your own, easier.
Nepos have their own comfort.
Also whatβs the PPO scenario in Indus? Any leads?
So yes, all this leftist human rights shit these people do is just a facade.
The problem is feminism of this generation is all about calling out the bullies instead of proving them wrong.

Back in the day, the disputes team was horrible to work with, though I learnt a lot.
Things have changed now with a lot of exits at senior and mid level. You may want to give it a chance. Other teams, especially the ones that work directly under NT are great, though the pay could be higher.
The Mumbai office is far better and the attrition is also lower than Delhi office for obvious reasons.
Hundreds of reporters whose credibility you know about because they popped up on your insta feed? you do realise deepfake tech exists? as does AI? you do realise propoganda exists during war time? As opposed to credentialled and seasoned war reporters employed by the same news organisations that have exposed some of the western worlds most awful deeds because they dont parrot a view you dont like? muhammed on insta who" hey is just embedded with hamas he isnt actually one of them" is more reliable to you than fareed zakaria? Great media literacy there.
