1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I have done my LLB from a Non-NLU government university in India , and I want my LLM to be from a reputed institution. Please guide me if possible.

He wants to know why am I going out with friends when there is pending work. I mean the dude just gave me 3 days to finish the work. If you want to check the progess, check after a day. He expects me put everything aside for a work which is not urgent.
This is for 2026 batch
Been told by seniors that the shortlists will be announced in a month or so.
If yes, by how much?
It took me nearly a month to receive confirmation, so timelines can vary, especially with Tier 1 firms. Sometimes, candidates with connections are slotted in at the last minute without hesitation.
My advice: Call the HR and politely mention that you need to start making arrangements, such as packing and securing accommodation. Ask them if they could kindly confirm your selection status for the internship and if not, whether they can inform you so you can explore other options. This direct approach may help you get a quicker response, as i had to call the HR like 5-7 times for this man.
Go for it. let me know if you have any other BT
I stay in kolkata. The protests are all peaceful and don’s obstruct traffic. What does obstruct traffic is random neta giving speech on the road; random blocking of entire main roads due to some festival or the other; half the roads being unusable due to potholes, and therefore a 4 lane road being reduced to 1 lane.
1. Will I get a job in T1 or T2(I don't have any back support and 1st gen)
2. Will I get any internship or job in any specific field other than dispute( I have intrest and worked in B&F, regulatory, caps mark)
3. Will I be eligible to give judiciary.
Till now I have presentable CV with sound internship and publication
Their behaviour was something I would never want to sit through ever again.
Deals were great. If you can put up with toxic behaviour, sure.
1. Many top lawyers in the UK - including law firm partners and top KCs - didn't read law at uni, and instead chose to do something else, only doing what they call a law 'conversion course' (along with a year of vocational training), making their law study only two years in total, before they started working. People with this kind of a profile have included famous judges such as Lord Sumption (who read History at Oxford), Lord Bingham (likewise (I hope the name Tom Bingham at least is familiar to you, as he wrote a famous book called 'The Rule of Law')), former UK Supreme Court president Lord Neuberger (who took a degree in Chemistry at Oxford before going into a career in investment banking and only then switching to law) and former Lord Chancellor Lord McCay (who studied Physics at Oxford). And if all these people and their accomplishments mean nothing to you (despite the fact that they have achieved a thousand times more than anything you are ever likely to achieve) and the only thing in England and Wales that matters to you is magic circle law firms and their recruitment processes, it may surprise you to know that many MC and elite American firms' UK operations within the square mile have about 50% of their trainee recruitment from non-lawyers who took conversion courses in law, not the typical LLB pathway; not forgetting, by the way, that UK law students study three (maximum four) years at law schools, with their law schools meaning much more than even the best NLU in India.
2. Lawyers and law professors in the U.S. and Canada read for a J.D. after completing at least an undergraduate degree in another subject, and sometimes graduate degrees as well. Look at this profile of a private law theory scholar at UCLA (especially the qualifications) and tell me if she sounds like an unserious person to you.
https://law.ucla.edu/faculty/faculty-profiles/rebecca-stone#main
I hope all this demonstrates even to you that your arguments are unserious and based on personal insecurities.
Also, generally at what time of the year these events are organized more frequently?
In my time, seniors would literally stand on our backs getting any work done and not allow us to be creative, yes thats wrong, not reviewing your silly mistakes because you just graduated law school!
I no longer edit Wikipedia because it’s become a cesspool of corruption, self-promotion and shameful political bias on the left. Factual statements with citations from even reputed sites are either removed in or hidden deep inside the article so that you will miss it. Let me quote from an article on this, which quotes Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger and Professor Bryan Caplin, who has a PhD from Princeton University.
"The days of Wikipedia's robust commitment to neutrality are long gone," co-founder Larry Sanger said.
"Wikipedia's ideological and religious bias is real and troubling, particularly in a resource that continues to be treated by many as an unbiased reference work," he added.
Wikipedia pages related to socialism and communism contain stark examples.
The two main pages for "Socialism" and "Communism" span a massive 28,000 words, and yet they contain no discussion of the genocides committed by socialist and communist regimes, in which tens of millions of people were murdered and starved.
"The omission of large-scale mass murder, slave labor, and man-made famines is negligent and deeply misleading," economics professor Bryan Caplan, who has studied the history of communism, told Fox News.
The pages include plenty of history, Caplan noted, and are not confined to just philosophical claims. But the history focuses on flattering claims.
Wikipedia’s Socialism page announces: "The Soviet era saw some of the most significant technological achievements of the 20th century."
It ignores a man-made famine in which Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin commandeered the food from regions like Ukraine and Kazakhstan, leaving millions to starve to death even as the Soviet Union exported grain to foreign countries.
The Wikipedia socialism page also mentions China’s Communist history, but only begins its description in 1976, after Mao Zedong’s reign of terror had already killed tens of millions.
"After Mao Zedong's death in 1976... China's economic performance pulled an estimated 150 million peasants out of poverty," the encyclopedia says.
The article fails to mention Mao’s prior communist programs such as his "Great Leap Forward", in which private farming was abolished, leading to mass famine that killed tens of millions.
It also neglects to mention Mao’s "Cultural Revolution", in which, according to the History Channel, "Millions of young radicals who formed the paramilitary Red Guards shut down schools, destroyed religious and cultural relics and killed intellectuals and party elites believed to be anti-revolutionaries."

Usually I do the research online and then try to find similar things in the books just to show him. This feels like complete waste of time and effort. I end up feeling guilty for billing clients for this stupidity.
However, one key difference is that the Jindal girl was from an affluent background who was generally very depressed, whereas the NLUD girl was an IDIA student from a humble background, so her depression may have been worsened by economic and cultural challenges.
At the end of the day, it’s hard to pinpoint one particular cause and we instead need counselling in college by proper therapists. Gen Z is a lot more vulnerable than previous generations and this has been made worse by social media. ▮▮▮

(1) HSB Partners is not functioning now, but when it was, it paid between 35k and 200k. Other firms (local) pay comparable salaries.
(2) "Hostile to outsiders" is a generalization, which is incorrect, as most generalizations are.
(3) "No diversity" : Again incorrect. What diversity are you expecting ? If you are looking for gender and caste based diversity, Chennai is fantastic. If you are looking for linguistic diversity, perhaps not. But the same is true of Delhi.
Look like you had a bad experience.
BTW - they have more people leaving soon..
Entire reason people use legallyindia is that they can anonymously attack others
We are a developing country and need faster growth to catch up to anyone. We are as poor as Africa.
As india grows, there will be more demand for CS, CAs, Corporate Lawyers etc.

Looks like Cammies are still paid what they were being paid two years ago across positions. We have enough info about SAM. Can people please update about CAM?
Currently, I am stuck in my career, and I stumbled across some certifications, as sitting idle is eating me up. I want to ask if the certificate courses from ▮▮▮ and ▮▮▮ help, as they are costing upwards of 10k some going beyond 100k. Do they anyhow standout in my CV considering I apply to tier 1 or 2 law firms? The certifications are of M&A and IBC.
Please help a brother out...
Increments are delayed this year too. A word of caution to juniors, join this firm only if you've no way better to go. There's no growth here. The mentality is to make profits on juniors' labor.

I wish to enquire that how can I start improving my research skills. Seniors are either busy in their own work or just don't want to help much.
A senior told me that I can do my first internship in a T-3/4/5 law firm that will give me work or in High Court at a senior that will give me work.
Will the seniors at legallyindia, please guide how valid is the advice of my seniors (as till now, everyone told me to do my first internship at district court)?
Also, if the advice they gave me is correct, how can I follow it?
Do I need connections? (I am a first generation lawyer with no connections in the law fraternity)
And then, you never hear from them again.
For context, this happened after they had already confirmed my internship, and I was only trying to confirm the dates and address. I anyway showed up on the first day of the month of my internship at the location I found on Google and no one questioned me why I was there so it ended fine, I ruefully guess.
Looking to join M&A team as a SA 1. Please shed some light.
also note, applying to vidhi corp team.
