So it means an average T1 partner salary is also 3-5 cr a year?
Sounds like that, at equity level, and speaking only of averages - there will always be outliers on either side.
Partners start at 1 cr a year (junior partner) and can reach up to 50 cr a year (equity).
There is simply no non-founder equity partner earning 50 crores a year, bar none. Highest earning non-founders are likely LV and Ashwath, and neither is going to be close to this figure per annum. Founders obviously are a different breed. Some earn much more than 50 a year.
3 crores is peanuts for a lawyer once you hit 40. Pretty much all lawyers from decent backgrounds earn 8 to 10 cr a year at that age.
Right! I’ll have whatever you’re smoking.
I’m almost 40, can you suggest any in house roles which will pay 3 cr? I’ve top tier law firm and in house experience.
8-10 cr. nothing once you hit 40

Aim for atleast 30-40 cr to beat inflation.
TBH I feel very depressed and jealous when I lawyers in their 30s driving Merc and BMWs. It’s inherited wealth in most cases, but I still feel inadequate and want to buy the same car. I keep thinking if I should bite the bait and take a loan!
okay I know ur trolling, but the truth is, less than 200 lawyers in India earn that much, and after taxes its probably much lower.
