Usually I do the research online and then try to find similar things in the books just to show him. This feels like complete waste of time and effort. I end up feeling guilty for billing clients for this stupidity.
However, one key difference is that the Jindal girl was from an affluent background who was generally very depressed, whereas the NLUD girl was an IDIA student from a humble background, so her depression may have been worsened by economic and cultural challenges.
At the end of the day, itโs hard to pinpoint one particular cause and we instead need counselling in college by proper therapists. Gen Z is a lot more vulnerable than previous generations and this has been made worse by social media. โฎโฎโฎ

(1) HSB Partners is not functioning now, but when it was, it paid between 35k and 200k. Other firms (local) pay comparable salaries.
(2) "Hostile to outsiders" is a generalization, which is incorrect, as most generalizations are.
(3) "No diversity" : Again incorrect. What diversity are you expecting ? If you are looking for gender and caste based diversity, Chennai is fantastic. If you are looking for linguistic diversity, perhaps not. But the same is true of Delhi.
Look like you had a bad experience.
BTW - they have more people leaving soon..
Entire reason people use legallyindia is that they can anonymously attack others
We are a developing country and need faster growth to catch up to anyone. We are as poor as Africa.
As india grows, there will be more demand for CS, CAs, Corporate Lawyers etc.

Looks like Cammies are still paid what they were being paid two years ago across positions. We have enough info about SAM. Can people please update about CAM?
Currently, I am stuck in my career, and I stumbled across some certifications, as sitting idle is eating me up. I want to ask if the certificate courses from โฎโฎโฎ and โฎโฎโฎ help, as they are costing upwards of 10k some going beyond 100k. Do they anyhow standout in my CV considering I apply to tier 1 or 2 law firms? The certifications are of M&A and IBC.
Please help a brother out...
Increments are delayed this year too. A word of caution to juniors, join this firm only if you've no way better to go. There's no growth here. The mentality is to make profits on juniors' labor.

I wish to enquire that how can I start improving my research skills. Seniors are either busy in their own work or just don't want to help much.
A senior told me that I can do my first internship in a T-3/4/5 law firm that will give me work or in High Court at a senior that will give me work.
Will the seniors at legallyindia, please guide how valid is the advice of my seniors (as till now, everyone told me to do my first internship at district court)?
Also, if the advice they gave me is correct, how can I follow it?
Do I need connections? (I am a first generation lawyer with no connections in the law fraternity)
And then, you never hear from them again.
For context, this happened after they had already confirmed my internship, and I was only trying to confirm the dates and address. I anyway showed up on the first day of the month of my internship at the location I found on Google and no one questioned me why I was there so it ended fine, I ruefully guess.
Looking to join M&A team as a SA 1. Please shed some light.
also note, applying to vidhi corp team.
tia :)

Any courses or credentials i need to develop to get a job in tier -1 or 2 law firms in India.
What do they look for while hiring and do they hire laterally?
I should think these varied options can account for most of the 34.
Thatโs the tweet.
Just saying this so the absolute psychos who micromanage donโt think theyโre not micromanagers because they didnโt shout about a comma etc. You know the kind of ridiculous stuff youโve done and said I personally wish you hell.
Scope of earnings after 10 yrs is very high in law firms in comparison to Sebi.
- The B.A. LL.B course in Bhopal is better, while the B.Sc and BBA courses available in Jodhpur are unavailable in Bhopal. Bhopal has a new cyber security course, but it is in its infancy.- Jodhpur has fewer reservations in student intake, so the student community is more diverse.
- The Professors in both colleges are equally blah, mooting, sports and academic cultures are similar.
- Bhopal is a more congenial and prettier city than Jodhpur.
- Local placements are similar; Jodhpur has a few more T.C.'s to its credit.
Baaki sab budhdhiman hai
I am not sure of what / how you will be able to 'sell' your short law firm experience (at 6 months).
If you are looking at entering as Fresher- then that's a different matter.

Of all the other additional certifications I know of - LLM, MBL, MBA, CFA , none would supplement my professional growth lie CS would, however, It is a time devoting and uncertain course which i am skeptical to take up at this point due to other professional commitments. What can i do, if i can, to make up for the lack of the professional degree ?
In favour of the WB govt:
- Lots of trolling of DYC online by BJP/Left leaders and student protestors, on the allegation that he is going soft on the WB government. This makes all of them liable for contempt of court.
- Doctors at RG Kar are striking even after DYC told them not to. Again contempt of court.
- Online trolling of Kapil Sibal, Menaka G and various left-liberal intellectuals. Could invite action.
- Every other day protestors are blocking roads in Kolkata and inconveniencing the public.
Against the WB govt:
- Abhayaโs parents have told the media that the police tried to bribe them and ask them to accept the case as a suicide. The police hurriedly cremated the body.
- Alleged that the police circulated a morphed crime scene photo cropping out the presence of a TMC leader (Avik De)
- Proven that there were no attempts to seal the crime scene and evidence destruction a real possibility
- Abhayaโs colleagues have allegedly told the CBI that a massive coverup is being attempted.l and given names in an envelope.
- Protestors, including women, beaten up by TMC goons in Cooch Behar. Multiple reports of protestors being abused and harassed.
Try to get in touch with people in that industry as working alone is very demotivating.
You need to time to explore. Unfortunately in Indian households, we are not taught that skill or patience to explore things to find our passion
So we should all close the matter here. Letโs respect Menaka for not only working on popular human rights causes, but also unpopular causes, both equally in the interests of justice and as a servant of the court.
If as a law student you think a human rights lawyer should only work on popular causes, then that lawyer will be failing in his/her duty and YOU will be failing in your duty as a law student!

Out of curiosity, what UG course would you have done if you had the choice? And why did you continue with LLM if you found UG law uninteresting even after 5 years?

1) It has Sabarmati express, which takes you to Ahemdabad, taxi till Gandhinagar and you can try making to GNLU
2) It has Neelanchal Express, which takes you to Cuttack and you can then go to NLUO.
3) It has LJN Garibrath to Raipur, then you can go to HNLU.
Honestly best thing to do once you reach Lucknow
I feel if itโs too torturous for you, then donโt wait to simply get burnt out. If you donโt have financial obligations on you, leave the job and find better opportunities, you will def get something or if you can start looking before actually leaving it
1. An insecure intermediate boss, who doesn't let his/her subordinates shine, for fear of being outshone, and who takes out his/her frustrations on subordinates by bullying/shaming/abuse.2. An unresponsive and opaque system which doesn't offer adequate remedy/response for people who are stuck with bad bosses/superiors, leaving people who take out their frustrations on their peers/subordinates, or become apathetic.
3. One or two oldtimers who are apathetic and cynical.
4. Lastly, a compensation/appraisal system that is broken.
The second is where you are working at a place where people say bad things and harass you, but the workload is not that much. Because of the harassment and bad words, it mentally puts you in a place where, even if you work, you get exhausted.
Additionally, multiple combination of these two types can occur. For example, a workplace might both overload you with work and subject you to harassment, or it might harass you only by constantly assigning work without saying bad to you but you are specifically target with all the work.
At the end of the day, it comes down to the capacity of the individual. For example, in a lenient scenario, if your boss loudly says in front of people, "Why are you one minute late in submitting the file?" one person might think, "This is okay; I canโt do anything about it, and it doesnโt affect me mentally." However, another person might feel very upset and be mentally annoyed by this.
So, your mental capacity define if the place is toxic for you or not.
However, scolding or an increased workload can be part of the job, and I have mentioned that it depends on mental capacity but One clear indicator of toxicity is when scolding and an increased workload occur regularly every day, even if your work is correct, and it is taking a mental toll on you regularly and If this pattern is consistent, then it is definitely toxic.
Treat me without kid gloves...toxic
Asked to work over weekends..toxic
Don't give me five star food/ travel..toxic
Dont bow to me ... toxic
Comnt on my muscle shirt/ micro skirt...toxic
Basically do anything I don't like....toxic
