lets not pretend these "females" are victims and not entering into consensual relationships
depends on other factors too I know a tier 1 partner who overhired associates and started knit picking faults as soon few months passed and eventually didn’t confirm the probation resulting in exit of associates
Bump. Considering the current exits, insights on PPO chances, culture in Indus Bangalore are highly appreciated.
CLAT is an awful metric to measure legal aptitude and artificially filters out a lot of candidates who could have otherwise become fantastic lawyers.
Law teachers should need a minimum of 5years of PQE having practiced law in some capacity to qualify to teach.
I myself hooked up with an intern when I was interning with a senior advocate at SC. She was from IP University though.
Actually it ought to be converse! Practicing lawyers should be allowed to teach and that way only the law education will become relevant and meaningful
Thank you so much, I have mailed my resume (finger’s crossed). Let’s hope for something good.
Same scenes at ▮▮▮ but this guy was not a partner but regional head at a bigger organization.
Worse is when they pull me up for it. I genuinely don't know what I don't know. Your teaching me/correcting me after pulling me up barely helps. You should do that before having me start on the task.
Can this post be featured. Even I have the same doubt. With the number of offers given by CAM this year, this would help to get an inside pov before joining.
Hello Please recommend named of the senior advocates who maintain a good work-life balance, pay well, and regularly appear before both the High Court as well as the Supreme Court.
Then what do the usual corporate partners in Tier 1 or 2 would earn? I mean is it 5-7 crore or 3-4 crore or 1-2 crore. I understand it might vary based on seniority but let's say in first five years of partnership, followed by 5-10 years into partnership.
Do we need to carry all the original document for the enrollment meeting or would notarised copies work? Also which account do we make the extra 1000 payment for out of state degree verification?
On the contrary I am hearing he is testing the market and plans to leave.
What!? His SA took away his work?

Avirup leaving should have increased his internal referrals at least
Matlab jeevan mein kuch accha ho toh pehle uspar bhi chinta aur shaq. What the...
hey, do you mind giving some deets? Which year are you in, and did you apply through your internship cell or was it a private application or contact? Also, what was the interview process like? TIA!
bump. They have opened assessment internships.
Basic CPC, arbitration, insolvency, company law is must. CRPC, PMLA too if the team does criminal and white collar work.
Buddy at ELP hooked up with a girl from Jindal recently.
E-Courts website for Maharashtra Court has both civil and criminal

Manuals but not updated. Each chapter is a different PDF.
Exactly my point brother. Even a lower court munshi knows more law than them. They are essentially glorified office clerks who do not contribute anything valuable to this Noble profession.
I think you have to apply to the defence ministry to acquire Surface to Air Missiles...

Don't be too hopeful tho... NLS's placement committee has already reserved spots there too XD
It's normal tbh even I got most of my T1 Internship in my final year. I feel like firm generally prefer final year student more than any other year student.
I would like to mention it is not a solid tier 2 firm consider it botique law firm
I'm from a tier 1 city but from a lower middle class family. I'm mostly aware of these things because of my prior interactions with people at university. I got my first experience with such individuals when I did my law degree from a premier institute....
Choose the lawyer position, a bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush
Peanuts for 8 months as Trainee, bigger Peanuts after that
No Shabnam's team. You can contact Jash Agrawal, they posted a LinkedIn ad
Stop acting like UP doesn't have law firms, in terms of law firm business. Noida goes toe to toe with Banglore if not one up. Please chill, it's stupid to force people to hoist a flag. Sit down
Law is a super saturated field if someone wants to work in corporates. The exit options are less and the legal teams in mnc and psu are nothing more than cost centres and paper pushers. One should consider mba it provides a larger spectrum of industries and roles.
Lawyer who've majorly dealt with regulatory and compliance mandates are closer to consultants than to lawyers
One of the nicest people in the legal fraternity. He has been doing great work at SAM and before that too. A future real estate champ for sure! He is reasonable and sensible.
I am aware that it is not b&f what i do, even remotely (i clarified already) but i want to, and i will have to start somewhere.
Law is the most easiest professional career to get into, not the most profitable, but definitely the easiest.
Law being just about placements have done more harm than good for the misguided students who aim to earn the big bucks lifestyle like tech & MBA, not realising that the actual money comes in after a decade+ of practice.
Tbh, I am a little money driven. I don’t mind the long hours at work if given a good remuneration. Litigation on the other hand is the same long hours at work minus the money (atleast in the starting years)
Anyday a lawyer in a solid teir 2 is far better than a paralegal in any firm. Also your experience will only be considered when you are a lawyer and not a paralegal.
Aww...you predictors are so cute to think that you know what's going on behind the scenes. If you really do, then name the person here and wait for time to vindicate your position.
Yeah, will just keep trying and hope my talent is recognised one day.
Hey hi everyone, could anyone share a list of names of the firms which are still providing remote online internships.

Thanks.
One has to living in a fools paradise to hope to earn 10 cr + without starting their own venture.
How are you qualified to know who is a real lawyer? Given your recent comments on this platform, you don't really seem one yourself.
A 9 hr work day is a blessing usually you have to work easily bw 11-12 hrs on average and sometimes on the weekends also.
Dude I got my T1 Internship in my 4th year of law school ( non nlu) so chill there is a lot more this is just a start.
Exactly most T1 firms prefer 4th year or 5 year students for internship.
they don't fire you directly but they make your life so miserable and lifeless that either you will die or leave
Always positive, helpful and enthu - overall a good team to work with!
I’ve worked with Bhoumick and his team - easy to work with, practical solutions and seamless coordination. He’s had most of his team members for 5 plus years so team culture is very good
You are nothing but finest class of uneducated who even after spending 3/5 years are at law school doesn't understand the meaning of the term 'lawyer'. Try finding it out.
One of my senior got a job at Khaitan because she slept with the partner. It was in 2019.
Going with the undertaking for AIBE

let the bcd take their sweet time
Probability is very low unless you set fire to the office or something. The law graduate quality in general is so bad that firms don't want to go through the hassle. People usually leave on their own
I can say this about Bhowmick- he’s dedicated, sharp as a tack, firm yet gentle and fair. I’ve known him for almost 20 years now and there’s much to learn from him!
Just wait till you get to the third/fourth year. Second year is too early to get big name internships without contacts
I want to make a shift to another law firm's corporate m&a practice and I'm confused how should I prepare for the interview.
21 is not old bro, you can start anytime. You just need one solid publication and one solid moot.

- a1 at t1
Money seems to be a driving force for you, therefore, you should try business
Absolutely lovely, new age solicitor Practicing cutting edge law and doing marquee deals! Great team culture and a fun place to be overall.
Proud of you to achieve all this in 2nd year ! People like you make this 21 year old budda wish that he could restart his law school journey
Its still 9F + 3V. Everyone in the corporate office of Mumbai (m&a, real estate and banking teams) get around 2-2.5 in bonuses - so yeah 11 lakh for A0 is quite possible.
You won't earn in crores that I assure you. Maximum you will earn a crore (+ few lakhs) in an annum as a non equity partner
Hard to swallow pill - Most law student get Internship through connections so don't be disheartened try follow up mails and apply 8 month prior for T1 law firm internships.
How come law firms get vacancies every year? As in do people switch or they fire them?

How much is the probability of getting fired at Tier 1s, 2 and 3?

P.S.: sorry for random title (:
CAM cap marks is the best cap marks team in India but culture is bit of a problem. If Manan could bring the indus culture in this team at CAM, it would be unbeatable.
I will be interning in Indus law (Bangalore) in the month of January. So please help me me out if any of you have previously interned there by elaborating your experience but don't tell me about how a lot of partners are leaving the firm XD.
Hi . Thanks for the reply. Could you make a similar list for LLM in corporate law?
How much does juris corp pay their A0s and what are the ppo chances here in general corp
Don't go for NUALS, can't say anything about RGNUL but don't go for NUALS. You won't even get to be on campus and the life outside campus isn't the best and the area around isn't really great either.
