1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

But Recruiters also play an essential role, especially when dealing with senior level hires.
Recruiters - please share some stories of your first hand experience handling partner movement/ PA level lawyers.
Have you come across some unique demands/ ego battles for which certain transfers went through/ didnβt happen?
Have you seen the negotiations up close that happen when a partner moves with/ without his/ her team.
How do some partners like to hire? Do they have a proclivity for a certain type of individuals/ background?
This year has seen an unusual number of movements, especially partner level exits to and from a firm. Spill the secrets! Share some insider scoop!
Pleas note: No names basis. Just seniority of partner/ lawyers and your insights.
Please understand the difference between:(a) an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University; and (b) a Deemed to be University.
Kindly refer to the definition of "Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University" in the UGC (Institutions of Eminence Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2017.
A little bit of "legal research" before you allege others aren't prudent enough to understand these matters, would have been prudent on your part.
For the longest I used to hate my SA then I figured my partner who is all sweet and nice to me isn't so with the SA. (My SA was a horrible person in general but most of the toxicity flowed from upstream)
Also, it's a common tactics used by loads of partner who want to maintain a sweet and kind image.
Next time do a google search. Doesn't cost you much.
And @LI Mods, why is this trollish? It's just stating facts!
Any further update on this?

However, his true legacy and caliber as a competent and impartial judge will ultimately be reflected not in public noise but in the volume and significance of arbitration and mediation work he attracts in the years ahead. Thatβs where the measure of his reputation will truly lie.

TLDR: Some amount of venting is fine, too much is harmful. Dont make a habit of this.
This conference invokes the same presumption of innocence in my mind for Adani, of the kind that I learnt to develop from after the Aryan Khan case was kicked out. I vilified that bright young talent in my mind for no good reason. I must therefore presume Adani innocent until proven otherwise.

2. We don't how many questions you ask to get the work when it's your first time but don't make unnecessary errors that could have been avoided easily had you asked the questions.
3. Please tell us in advance if it's going to take longer than expected for you to complete the work.
4. Don't lie to us if you have missed something, it's fine but hiding and then getting pointed out by client/other counsel is not fine.
5. Be open to constructive criticism and knowledge.

My seniors have told me that the CAM PPO process is quite easy, with mostly HR questions, and that almost everyone gets through. However, I still feel anxious and unsure about how to approach it.
Could you please share your insights and tips on how I should prepare for this interview?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
Learn relentlessly. Switch ruthlessly.
However, hereβs the problem: I applied for the position of a trainee and was invited for an interviewβsomething Iβd been waiting for since July. But during the interview, when the AAG reviewed my CV, she said she wasnβt hiring freshers at the moment. Ironically, she was the one who had confirmed the interview. After some back-and-forth, she reluctantly agreed to let me join. It didnβt feel like she was interested in me or the conversation, though.
The offer was disappointing. She didnβt offer me the official trainee position or even a minimal stipend, like βΉ2,000 for petrol expenses. She said, βWhatβs the difference between an intern and a trainee? Itβs the same.β I decided to give it a shot anyway, hoping things would improve.
On my first day, I was handed a file and told to research the issue. When I asked for guidance or background, she responded, βYouβve studied law, havenβt you? Figure it out.β I did the research, but there was no feedback or acknowledgment. From the second day onward, Iβve mostly been tasked with drafting (LODs)
Today, I was scolded for not doing things βproperly.β I was told to attend a court hearing, but no case details were shared. My day now involves sitting in court from 10 AM to 4 PM, taking notes on what the judge says. When I try to explain what Iβve been doing or ask for clarity on my tasks, she doesnβt listen. Worse, Iβve been told, βIf you canβt perform, itβs better you leave.β
I feel stuck. Iβm doing my part by attending court hearings, documenting the judgeβs comments, and completing assignments, but thereβs no communication, feedback, or support. During my internships, I had far better interactions with associates who guided me through tasks. Here, I canβt even ask for direction without being dismissed with, βYouβve studied law, right?β
What should I do? How do I handle this situation when thereβs no room for discussion or mentorship, and now Iβm being threatened with termination?
Thanks!
The purpose was to make news headlines and that is achieved.

2.Sure she may have a bias but that doesn't mean that her writings are wrong or incorrect since history is interpretative.
3. The book is just a reinterpretation of the sources in order to present an alternative narrative and make the reader think that maybe aurangazeb wasn't so bad, stop thought-policing the so-called "wokes". Her works are as valid as Percival Spear's works.

Here are the key points of their connection:
1. UN Charter: The ICJ was created as part of the UN system and operates in accordance with Chapter XIV of the UN Charter.
2. Membership: All UN member states are automatically parties to the ICJβs statute and may bring cases to the court.
3. Location: The ICJ is headquartered at the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands, but it operates as part of the UN system.
4. Advisory Role: The ICJ provides advisory opinions on legal questions at the request of UN organs like the General Assembly and the Security Council or specialized agencies.
5. Funding and Oversight: The ICJ is funded by the UN, and its judges are elected by the UN General Assembly and Security Council.
Thus, the ICJ plays a vital role in the UNβs mission to promote international law and peaceful dispute resolution.

What is your objective behind pursuing YIF?
Other countries also respect their local scholarship. In India, the research is just plagiarised by think tank, policy outfits, NGOs, lawyers and others who have the financial and cultural capital to claim it publicly as their own. No one bothers to ask scholars because everyone assumes they are bad. No one calls out the individuals stealing the work.
Why would anyone bother to spend months to publish something that will only circulate if someone famous steals it. If we cite Indian legal scholars and treat their work with respect then more people will want to be legal scholars.
1. Be prepared to finish your presentation in 5 minutes. The actual time given is often less than the time specified.
2. Have a good idea of your proposal. In particular, methodology and lit review. You can divide your lit review in clusters- X had done this, Y has done something different but nominee has done x in Y's way. That's your research gap.
