What good infrastructure? Acad block is crumbling, hostel rooms have one or the other issue…….bad water, less heaters than number of students, insect problems AFTER PAYING so much money.
Oh, look, Mishraji’s ego got hurt on the UAE thread, so he comes up with this😍😍😍😍
This is nothing but a facade. A0s have quit since 2022 within a year due to the level of toxicity. There is so much infighting at the PA and the SA levels.
Not much but can suggest you some good chambers based on your interested domain
That is not the case in this situation. This whole thing started because new timetable had classes till 6 including tutorials. In response to concerns regarding that this mail was sent where she doubled down
What's the situation of travelling from this place, does nls provides for it?
Was the invitation for HSF ILP sent to the top nlus? My college has not been sent yet. Why is that so?
I don't think any SLS except Pune is worth the hype. (PS. Even Pune ain't, but it's better than the other two.)
Great. We will make total fools of ourselves with our lack of civic sense and sportsman spirit. Not to mention the countless tax rs that will go into the pockets of the gujju bhais there.
Which city are you in? If Mumbai, I may have a job for you which pays well and where you can also learn and grow.
If you can manage then you can but it will take more than usual time to complete the syllabus. Otherwise will recommend to focus solely on Judiciary or pursue masters and prepare side by side.
Get a better sense of logic. The NLUs are already doing better than any central university even without the funds.
Is the point that all of the NLUs mentioned above offer better quality of education than any central university teaching law?
Then the only explanation is that the central universities are headed by inept and corrupt admin who have got no clue how to use such funds to deliver better quality education to their students.
Suggest names of the firms looking to hire 2025 graduates in the real estate field. Also please advise on how to apply to the same
Why is this distasteful comment that is alleging a traditional Indian wife is a mere slave getting published? Just because it sounds incendiary does not mean it merits to be published
Han to bhai Desh chodd ke chala Jaa, Kaun rok raha hai. Just because OYO cockblocked you doesn't mean it's a disregard for privacy and personal freedoms. It's a corporate policy, let's leave it at that.
No one said GSB was any good but I'll see you in 5 years when the quality at NLS goes down the drain.
Not really, if it weren't for the sour grapes, I'm sure you'd give one of your arms as well to be at NLUD. Don't hide behind anonymity here and pass of your opinion as some general consensus. Everyone knows NLS is simply not what it once was anymore.
i would say just continue as inhouse for a year but keep in touch with the laws and how to do the legal work and simultaneously look for a new job. working for 3k with your family situation is just not worth it and we all know that it is very unlikely to increase
After all the disclaimers about respectfulness comments, LI - you want us to debate female slavery 'respectfully'? I can't even with the misogyny on this thread. WTF.
True. Even in my team there is a married couple, while the husband is equity partner, the wife is still a junior partner. I have often seen wife running to home earlier to care of their children as their caretaker leaves by that time.
Completely agreed with Ved Ma'am/Rangin Sir/Sheela Ma'am here. Ma'am/Sir these losers don't deserve you, aap inhe chodh ke wapas DU/NLS (since you are copying them a lot)/NUJS wapas chale jaao. They will surely miss your administration, and these losers will regret it.
Context: I am looking to make switch to chamber practice and wish to do white collar crime. Looking for insights on Sr Advocate Pramod Kumar Dubey's chamber. How is the work environment, pay and is it only briefing or there's drafting too?
As my final semester has approached,I am looking for long term assessment internship in real estate law. If anyone has a connection who can get me through. Please help. Thankyou!
Mods can you please approve the comments. Need the news regarding what's going on and other's views on it
Quick question. Is this poor-quality drafting, formatting and grammar Sheela Rai's doing or the copy-pasting into the LI comment box somehow going wrong? If the former, then we have lots more than just the awful decision-making to be concerned about, as regards NLUO.
Coming from someone who had these options last year, choose HNLU, if you're keen on corporate and not interested in city nightlife.
What a piece of garbage, bro. Slum dwellers run our houses. Everything is scam. Blah blah. Too many β€˜podcasts’.
Sire, I am trying to focus on myself. Also, I don't mind putting in the work, in fact this is what I have been doing so far religiously (and as it goes, blindly). The thing is I need to put this on the right path. I need to find that right path.
I don't think judiciary is my calling. I might choose to give CAT but not judiciary.
Safe to say they have the best working environment out of all the competition teams.
pls guide on what areas of practice does shri akhil sibal do and what is the work culture at his chambers if anyone is aware - to elaborate i am enquiring about WLB and salary
Yee, these things do exists. But not so simple that one sit with a candle and calls.

Speaking to such spirits is not that easy or we can say nearly impossible. But certainly, this way of sitting with candle and doing it is just NOTHING!!
Thoroughly overrated. Does some basic contractual stuff. Has very little legal knowledge and tries to be servile to get orders.
Alright folks! After years of toiling at a law firm, I am planning to now switch to litigation.

Can my learned friends here please shed light on the working hours in chamber practise? Thanks.
Even more. 800+ was the figure for 2024 batch. Newer hatches have bcom llb as well
What is the notice period for SAs at CAM? On paper and in practice?
Culture in boutiques and chambers is always bad. They're personal family fiefdoms where others get treated like servants. They're not meant to have low attrition rates. They're just placeholders for people to eventually move to T2s or T1s
How DO you explain it to them? Like what exactly are you doing. My uncle is in IB and there are people in PE as well in my relations, and even they dont get what we do exactly except paper filing and grammar check?
Incredibly sad & surprising to see that anyone in their right minds thinks that these shenanigans would better a college.
We don’t want our taxpayers money to be spent on this ch*****pa BS!!! First give us tax relief and make our cities clean and livable!
Afaik, except AZB every other firm gives their own laptop. AZB (being the misers that they are) expect you to get your own laptop and barely ever compensate for any amount of it.
What to do when I'm trying to get a certificate on the completion of the ra-ship but the professor is not replying to my mails?
Thanks for this answer.

Not the OP here; I wanted to know if anyone has any idea as to the CLAT PG rank that'd be requisite for a shot at JAG, is it in the same ballpark as PSUs where you need a sub-50 All-India rank?
Bro chill. It's not like everyone will have to attend classes straight from 9-7:30. The slots would obviously be spread out.
Money matters, but it can stop mattering after a point once you have reached a tier-1 firm / practice. You then choose culture and mostly the team / colleagues you want to work with.
True that. The central universities are so well funded compared to state NLUs, that there can’t be any rivalry. State NLUs pale in comparison.
A loan that DU will not have to pay back. How come state NLUs do not get such β€˜loans’?
Ha, ha……this is like saying if you had wealth like Ambani then you’d be more successful than Ambani. Every beggar would say that.
Nobody has ever heard of their faculty and their VC is doing good in what sense?
Better than having a VC without a law degree or any idea how to run a university and retain good faculty.
NLUO is not as good as jindal or NUJS. You should go for Nujs in my view.
Might sound harsh, but being out of college for sometime now, I completely agree. Hoping for master to appear soon though :p
Well if you look at the high acceptance rate of Ivys for graduate degrees - it will be fairly clear it’s not the hardest to get in. Certainly not harder than being a cancer surgeon.
No need for lawyerly caveats - i.e., the "maybe". They don't have the required motivation. Simples.
This year JGLS will be hosting both the HSF ILP and the A&O Finance Course. I guess spending so much money on advertisement, publicity, and good infrastructure does pay off in some way...
well considering the fact that there are limited spots in every firm for hiring from a particular batch, this does help people with internships in more than one firm to choose the one which has a higher scope for hiring
If a research internship appeals to you then Centre for Competition law and Economics.
Tried several white formal shirts but couldn't find the perfect one.

Finding the perfect white shirt is very difficult. I am sure some others have been in my place as well.

Suggest me the best brand/place to buy one. Please!
First off, his name is Sudhir. Don't call him that, you ugly, bitter troll.

To address your specific point: On the contrary, all of us are dancing for knowing that people with water on the brain like you can't achieve half the things he has done (including for NLS).
tbh big dawg instead of asking this question, just ask yourself why are you outsourcing your sense of worth to a third party.
I was getting nluo with my rank but now I think I'll just opt for nliu with nri sponsored, if I get the chance even if it stretches my finances because what?
The only person who can redeem you is your own self. Stop seeking help from external and focus on your own self. Once the student is ready, the master appears
Only SKDR and YPT can save you guys now. But jab wo the tumne unhe bhaga diya.

It's protest time. Abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi.
My god, seeing the comments it looks like jindal admissions and outreach is so active on legallyindia. If only they also saw the comments on the pathetic placements and crumbling infrastructure and did something about it!
Keep up with this entitled attitude and you will be out of a job soon...then pawn that watch.
People usually move due to the following reasons:

1. Dissatisfaction due to bonuses/salary

2. No growth/Lack of promotions

3. favouritism

4. Not being treated well.

5. More money being offered elsewhere
Don’t recall NLS having foreign ministers placements for its very first batch. NLUD did, btw.
You don’t need a collaboration to get into a top uni abroad. Get a good batch rank and you’ll be accepted in most of the top colleges.
