Really !! Harman Walia from Indus ?? Mazaak karna bandh karo dost. Uska billing 3-4 cr hoga.
This is probly 1/3 dost. He’s been a high performer.
Harman is built different, doesn't announce his deals but pushes way above his weight in the Delhi M&A/PE circuit.
Hmm. That's why his associates keep roaming around in office.
I never heard this name Harman Walia. Who is he?
Very convenient. Someone who doesn't have a big team, doesnt announce his deals is a partner with highest billing. What a logic.
If he has 12 cr revenue he wouldn't be in Indus now.
Harman is truly a rockstar! His revenue is close to β‚Ή12 crore, and he is a heavy hitter in the Delhi officeβ€”most likely the top performer. He leads a team of 10 lawyers, which certainly commensurate with the revenue.
With all other heavy weights from Indus gone I guess the light weight category is getting desperate. The above like SOS msgs to T1 firms ;D
your infor is far outdated - his current book is approx 35.40 cr pa
Ha ha ha.. who ever wrote this must be joking. The entire Delhi IndusLaw practice is some 20 odd crores. Good joke guys!
He bills close to 15 cr lol, its cap marks, not M&A
They bloody had book of 30+cr when they left Luthra in 2019. Post which their mandates and price has soared like crazy. 60 Cr is more practical than it seems. Actual number would be a bit higher than this.
Manan Lahoty's personal take home is probably 15 crores or more. What are you even saying? The partners in Manan Lahoty's team are alone billing 20-25 crores Lol.
Bro you are troll. Check what's the average fees for IPO as a CoCo and as BCo. Multiply it with number of IPOs you see on Indus's linkedin page for the last year.
Bro, Manan comes to office in 4 crores+ Range Rover Autobiography. Not sure what you are talking about
He has been working for years, what does this prove lil bro
Its about the mindset and risk taking ability, tum kisiko 15 crore bhi dedo as a bonus, woh karega naukri hi.
Just fyi they have ballpark figure of 200 cr this year
"ballpark"? Please study for your endsems lil bro
Jatin easily meets a 100 crore target - as a cumulative of all the Infrastructure and Projects partners' billings across all SAM offices. Look at the kind of work they do, how they get it done and the quality of people who work with them. Insane.
You seems to have a great knowledge on this topic but Macquarie is an investment banking firm ?
cyril - 3450cr

shardul- 3235cr

haigreve - 3176cr

zia-1767cr

ajay-1346cr

AA-2245cr
then its a blatant fold kiddo. I thought you alluded to Ashish Ahuja from Wadia. Don't mix the big boys game to your dreamy sensibilities.
RL 10000 crore

MS 372728 crore

Le daal diye aur figures
Why are there so many negative votes to this? Just trolls? Is SAM not a market leader in ECM?
BHAI OH BHAI, transactions are multi million dollar yes, he didnt mean HE makes millions!!! The clients and bankers make 95% of the profits. Auditors + other investor related guys make 3-4%, and the lawyers make a fixed fee in the lakhs. Deluded much yall!
Mere bhai, you missed the whole point of the original comment that you have responded to. YKIYK
Let me quickly involve the managing partner for this very crucial million dollar plus transaction.
SJha is the heaviest hitter today in S&P consistently doing 70-80cr every year
When someone says billed, what does that mean?

Is it the gross revenue earned by the entire team under that partner, or what exactly?
Yes for comp law its insane, but people here think insane means 50cr lol. She bills 10-15 cr easily in a good year and 8-10 in a normal year
Noobs. Raghubir Menon billed 84 crores for FY23-24
Is it even possible for a team to bill 83 cr? This sounds crazy. Can someone give a break up (without actual name of clients)?
It’s a collective book of 3 people called ATU with few RPs contributing a minor share
Banking practice generates the least amount of revenues at JSA. Yet their team is dying of work.
But their Associates are swimming in money, guess something for everyone
Worked with NKU's team before her departure. She was billing 60 crores when she was in Tri. Crazy working hours though.
While I am ex T1...currently working as a solopreneur ..with pqe 15 yrs ..earning Rs 80 lakhs..to Rs 1.4 cr annually...I determine my own schedule..and am my own boss..life's better..
I absolutely love that you made the move, and love that it makes you happy. But growing up we also had this phrase that went around in such situations, "Puchha kya"
Can some smart ass please confirm the figures. They seem too good to be true. If one partner was making 40-80-100 crore, entire firm would be making thousands of crores
A thread by the law students for the law students.
Can confirm w inside info that it can be anywhere between 10-20 cr a year. 45 crore is not a joke amount.
Akshay Chudasama. He billed 140 crores last year.
Bhai family law padho yeh sab jaan ke kya karoge
How much does Iqbal khan earns he is a rainmaker in M&A ?
He earns 40 crores in a year? Or is this the amount he bills?
Rumours were that Iqbal Khan took home approximately 12 crores post taxes last year.
M&A lawyers generally make a lot of money compared to banking
How much do Ashwath and Manan take home per year?
Who is he?

How can you name such a mediocre guy in this ?
Love our Dean. But don't push him here, one of the few men that really deserve the respect and is well earned in their field. Great guy, great professor, love him.
Vikram Raghani and Vivek Chandy in JSA are heavy hitters.
VC doesnt even work that much anymore, hes moved on to JMP roles and VRs revenue is reallly split among the smaller teams but even then its not at a NKU / IK levels
He is a solid hitter, even more difficult in a sophisticated and technical field like b&f, aviation finance
Nishith Desai - easily 30 crores plus take home pay (not because he has a book but he takes 1/3rd of the firm revenues himself). NDA hits much above the market with their high billing rates. Last year it was 125 crores of revenue for a firm with headcount of 60-70 lawyers.
