they give us 8k in stipend at Indus.

Look at the attrition of ICUL should say enough, Indus clears imo.
GLC can't intern as much as prior batches cause they have started a strict attendance policy with biometric but it is still the best bet.
Interesting, I don't know why one would simultaneously approach the UGC for this.
Hello

I got the same mail for the exam.

Even I am not aware of the syllabus if you get any syllabus, kindly help.
My comment about knowing the founders was in context to LexCounsult, not LexCounsel.
I knew the founders when they were associates in one of the top firms. Having known them personally and seeing the kind of work they are doing now at LexCounsel, it would definitely be a good place.
It refers to an email she wrote to her team when they fucked up a job, that got viral
Wildly inaccurate, good job bro trying to keep the competition out. I was making much more than this as an A2 in a good banking team couple of years back
I guess the bill share would be like 4-6 lakhs on top of this. Doesn't sound too bad
how wise is it to add another practice area on my cv at this stage? I alr have 2
Even the way you described the things you guys do makes me feel sorry for you cap marks lot πŸ˜‚. Don't speak about PE-VC, M&A man 🀣🀣
What about the CV value though? Which would be the better choice?
If you really want to do it, do it without letting go of your job. Leave only when you are finally attending the FC at LBSNAA. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR JOB.
Once you land an internship, your CGPA will no matter if your quality of work is great. Be diligent, be useful, figure out what associates do and how you can help them. That's all it takes.
I had applied for this Bharat Electronics Limited(BEL) exam around 3-4 months ago and just got a mail yesterday that written test is on 2nd Feb 2025. Anyone have any idea on the syllabus? Maybe we can boost preparation via studying on telegram or somewhere.
Like what? I mean what aspect be made more efficient in terms of the time it takes complete a DRHP? Will it not reduce billable hours drastically / improve turnaround time significantly?
I want to work at LexCounsel in Delhi. Can someone tell me about their experience at the firm. I’ve heard their MP is great to work with.

Can someone tell me the pay structure and culture of the firm.
Fair enough. Interned there and found out. Don't touch this place with a ten foot pole (chennai).
In which officeTMT team at Trilegal sit Lower Parel or Fort?
Not that much tbh, if the partner likes your work then CGPA would not be much of a concern. For your second question, more than CGPA its the contacts that you have which helps in landing internships. Try cold messaging partners on LinkedIn - short and sweet.
My β€œFI” amount is 50 crores + house/apartment. Live in a T1 city so high cost of living + need to account for inflation + don’t want worry that money will run out.

This means no β€œRE” for me though!
What is a tentative timeline of hiring of an Associate at Trilegal?
Don't take it personally. It's how it is and some of them are just envious and can't digest the fact that you left them in the first place.
After your second assessment; how much time did they take to send confirmation?
bump; which team is hiring, and are there chances of one internship ppo? (if yes, which team)
Gave an interview back in November for the team, got an email saying I've cleared the first interview. They haven't scheduled the second interview since then, HR claims to have no knowledge when it'll be scheduled. Any advice?
Yes, NFSU ticks all the boxes. This is what higher education ought to be.
Planning to take a break now for a month or so. Hopefully, will get some clarity within the month
Those posts are 10 percent facts 90 percent exaggeration
i mean isnt it obvious that for the same money id go with zara which has more prestige and better designs. it's the same thing why t-1 firms like hiring t-1 law school students - same paisa hee dena hai to better cheez lo na. business savvy folks, what am i missing here
What else do you expect from them. Jo apno ke nahin ho sake woh doosron ke kya honge....
How much IRA Law pay to the Associate with one year of experience in IP Litigation
Hi, can you please tell me why you're quitting tax? As a final year student with only tax internships, and looking to make a career in the field, would love to know your thoughts.
Answer your calling, mate. Do not listen to the arm chair naysayers. Make peace with following your heart, and the eventual consequences that arise. Do not stumble over the baggage of the past, or your need for external validatory advice from this platform.
18 fixed for an A3 is a joke!! And they try to potray themselves as Tier 1. Even after 8%, you’re coming nowhere near Tier 1s’ A3 band unless the billing is exceptional or something
Total comp can go up to 23 LPA (20 fixed + 3 bonus). They have not advertised this aggressively as other firms to avoid attracting the wrong kind of crowd.
Bharucha asked me for completing 3 assessment in 5 days. But they haven't replied yet.
go for GC or Capital Markets - most bullish from an A0 hiring perspective.
NorthCap University has good faculty- the crowd is shit but apart from that its a good place to learn, V affordable for the quality they provide. Upes is okay, faculty and crowd both are avg., Amity is also good, same as NCU.
Pay for something like IJLMT and you'll get confirmation within 48 hours as they claim. Obviously not good for CV though.
Go for it, licking the boots of govt is far more rewarding than licking the boots of corporate masters.
Nonetheless. Afaik they pay stipend as well (source: people who interned at the Chennai office in the past)
This is WLC. The pay is so fucking shit and holy hell they make you work so much. It's peak exploitation. Interns are made to stay till 8 even when there is no work, that too till Saturdays
Can someone tell about work culture timings nature of partner and is there work beyond arbitration in the firm as well as the salary scale at 1.5 Yr work ex
Dat is bcoz I am old n my eyz cant c kybrd prply. Dts y i type in shrtfrms. Do nt b so blnkrd n entrappd in semantics beta.
OG here. Are you sure IA hires? Because Disputes teams usually dont hire. Also, i have 0 gc experience
I advise two pathways:

1. Bridge course, then join an Indian firm, then try to shift abroad (LLM or MBA route, or lateral hire in Singapore perhaps).

2. Straight up go for an MBA.
For higher tier 1 kind of pay, you will have to opt for ICUL’s mumbai office. There it will be better than Indus
Fair, have considered this too. How can I indeed?

Maybe start off in litigation? Or ask my firm for a year long sabbatical? Does that work?
I interned in jan 2024 and was in the morning slot with timings 10:30-1:00. The associates didn’t even reach till 12:00 so essentially for the whole internship I had almost no work.
OP'S Post in another 3 years

"I left my T1 job for UPSC Prep, but was unable to crack the exam. Is there anyway I can find my way back into the industry? How can I explain the 3 year gap on my resume?"
Bump, also can anyone tell the teams there that hire freshers??

Do PS or GS's teams do that?? Please tell
They are not hiring A0s in TMT team, just interned last month only i asked the Leader and Co-Head they said they are looking to hire latrals rn.
hi,

can someone please help me understand how i should prepare for the trilegal assessment test , esp the legal aptitude section?
hey, for the first round, how should one prepare for the legal aptitude section? what kind of questions are asked?
Personal Exp: No, there wasn't any interview round after the pref selection. I had put in TMT and GC and gave the assessments. Got my confirmation within a week.
I have considered alliance university, Christ, bits and NMIMS but they have a high fee or are very far away from home same with Jindal
I tried to do my research on Jindal and got very mixed review and there placement ratio is bad from the no. of students enrolled in the law program each year
It can't. I agree, a good chunk of document is copy pasted but AI cannot do the rest of the things. DRHP is far more complicated than people think, behind those 500 odd pages, there are numerous hours of thinking and DD.
Publish the comments marked trollish. They will reveal the true picture
There were around 6 associates who joined and left the firm within a span of 7-8 months. You seem intelligent man, figure out the culture through the above statement.
T-1s generally don’t hire after day zero i.e. August. But again it might not be true for all the teams.
do SQE part 1, then wait for two years (bridge + stay with an advocate as their junior) and appear for SQE 2, at least you will be qualified in the UK
get recommendation letters from the local MLA and the most useless teacher at your previous uni
Lack of clients. The way their founder posts on LI is clear solicitation - talking about deals openly and asking if someone wants 'meet for a chat'. c'mon bro.
Please could some one give me input on the work Upendranath does, and what are the salary expectations at A2 - A3 level
Can please someone shed some light on the gurugram team esp upendra nath. what are people drawing at associate level in toto and what is the team culture
Who will handle the much touted (on video) "multi million dollar deals" now?
Echoing on something I came across quite some time ago, it was said that Symbiosis Pune is often regarded as a tier-2. As for Noida and Hyderabad, they are somewhat interchangeable, though it's been noted that Noida marginally outperforms Hyderabad in certain metrics.
Looking for some advice and recommendations for GC/M&A teams at SAM Delhi from a learning standpoint - not expecting handholding but looking for seniors who take a genuine interest in teaching their juniors (particularly freshers). Any leads would be appreciated.
