Koan I would suggest, you can easily shift to tech/policy/competition/regulatory teams of tier 1 firms with a year experience.
I saw old blog posts written by one called court witness & someone called victory flower etc. though they are quite old they were entertaining, can we restart the blogging section again? Will seriously help in reviving the website
Sadly, a mail has been sent saying that yet another student from Jindal passed away this morning. Ze was 24 years old and in the policy school. Ze also completed zer undergrad from Jindal. Zer grades and zer CV were both good. I do understand OP's post that even a 1% death rate for young people can mean 2-3 deaths a year in just one college, but it's upsetting to get such news. RIP.

Note: The student used Mx instead of Ms, and the university is also doing so, hence the above pronouns.
What is the range - what is the minimum? Is it different for different teams? Is Anuj Berry team getting more
You saying out brahmanical privilege is also castism without knowing if that person did have the privilege or not. If you can bad mouth in general so can be
Because just how not every scst candidate deserves reservation not every bhramin has privilege. You can't expect to say bs and not hear back.
Is it true that Peritum Partners pay 3LPA to freshers ? They do so many PE/VC/M&A deals in year as per the League Table of VC Circle.

If you are really dead set on becoming a dispute lawyer overseas, instead of an LLM do a JD. Itโ€™s the equivalent to LLB in India and you will have plenty of opportunities or careers relating to dispute resolution. Itโ€™s 3 years but incredibly expensive. JD in US has to be done in high ranking T-14 university to get good jobs so your costs will go easily 10+ crore and living costs are not even included. However, admission to any of these T-14 jobs can get you jobs in big law which have entry level salaries of $200,000 and upward. I would only suggest this option if you have that much money to spare or else itโ€™s waste of money
Hi, I am a fourth year from a non-NLU with a decent CV. I have heard from a few seniors that certain firms have a 'hiring freeze,' and some firms accept assessment interns but, after a tenure of 4-6 months, state that they do not have any vacancies. I am quite anxious for the future. Please suggest some tips as to how I can stay mentally positive. With the upcoming placement cycle, my batchmates are also facing similar anxieties.

We would love to have some insights from seniors.
In my honest opinion, moderating is not like a superpower that let's you post or block a thread on your whims, it's a much more objective process that requires little ideological intrusion.

And yes, a proper system although gives space to all sides but equally restricts each of them as well.

To answer your question in brief: I don't think that a moderator has the authority to impose his/her political ideology while doing his job, hence it should not play a role in moderator selection.

PS: Hoping to see you guys joining the 'dark side' :)
It's one of my main goals to become a mod. If I fail to become one, then it will be a major setback for my career. (Pls bhai mod bana do)"
SJA is now dead and only to crib about ACs and prevent departments. The only reason I could think that Gujarat HC Chief Justice mentioned about NUJS is the fact that the son of Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal is a current NUJS student
At another NLU, the animal lovers take care of the dogs and cats, often using their own money. While none of the animals are violent, a student accidentally ran over a cat. In response, the animal lovers obviously expressed concern. Now, it has become a political issue with the people bashing the animal lover's community. The person who ran over the cat depicted the same thing during a college arts festival for a dance. How is this humane, forget even loving animals at this point? Law students are the biggest hypocrites.
At a reputed NLU, a student killed a cat accidentally while driving and while the animal loving community expressed concern for the same and tried to come up wit
Hello Everyone,

I am a 4th year non-NLU student. I have my placements coming up, and I have a mediocre CGPA, although I have done three moots and two publications. I feel my CGPA will drag my application down. I have lost hope of being placed. Are there any other activities that I can do to boost my application. Furthermore, suppose if I don't get placed through my college then what steps can I take in my 5th year to secure a job before I graduate.
There were many posts running here on Sandeshkhali when it broke out...

But not a single on Karnataka Scandal.

Right wing methodology at work?
There is a lad literally posting his life as an in house counsel on YouTube and Instagram. He's from GNLU.
Hi, Can anyone please share their experience about receiving an offer letter from CAM.
How much time do they take after confirming the offer verbally via telephonic conversation?
Please suggest books or articles that one must read to get a better understanding of the law and legal theory.

For example, I think 'Justice' by Michael Sandel is a must read.

It's PDF is also available freely on the internet.
The main hope is that mods, being lawyers, should uphold and believe in the values of the Indian constitution and truth and good faith and being kind to others on this forum. Is that ideological?

Dear existing mods / applicants / community: any thoughts or opinions on this? Please feel free to weigh in also.
I'm in final year (about to graduate in July) with not much hope from my college (lower tier NLU). I've got an assessment internship opportunity (3 months) at a boutique firm but their pay is very low and I'm also getting an internship at KCO (not assessment) through contacts. Which one I should go for? Are there any chances for me to get in?
Hi,fellow LI users. I graduated from not so known law school in tier-3 city situated in Hindi belt region and am currently working in a chamber.I can write and speak decent english but when it comes to presentation of legal things I fumble, not able to express/ recall things properly and at times I even go blank on a topic which I can easily explain in hindi.I don't know whether it is content or english but I am really suffering due to this and I really want to improve my presentation skills. Any tips on how to improve would really help. Thanks in anticipation.
Please clarify if political ideology plays a role in moderator selection. A proper moderation system means giving space to all sides.
Good: Vajpayee and Rao

Meh: Modi, Lal Bahadur Shastri (too short a tenure)

Bad: VP Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, Deva Gowda, Gujral, Chandrashekhar, Charan Singh

Catastrophic: Nehru, Indira, Manmohan
What connects a Rottweiler, a Louis Vuitton bag, a jilted lover and a short selling strategy from which some people made millions? IYKYK.
If you have been following the political gossip in Delhi, you will know whatโ€™s cooking. Expect some other big companies to follow suit, although some will wait till June.
Some unanswered questions in the article:

1. Have any such Indian students been identified and are being investigated? Or is the report just based on guesswork? There was a report of an Indian girl being expelled from Princeton a few days ago, but is she an Indian citizen or a US citizen?

2. Last night the police stormed Columbia and arrested several students. Were any Indian students part of the group?

3. How come no one is talking about the fact that it would be a blatant violation of civil liberties to cancel the visa of Indian student protesters? Surely they can go to the US Supreme Court? Donโ€™t US first amendment rights apply to all persons, not just all citizens? How come none of the lawyers interviewed said this?

Hi, I have been told that SAM still offers a virtual internship for 2 weeks. Is that true? Also if yes, is this available across all teams or selective ones? I would be even more grateful if someone could shed light on the virual internship application procedure ( cold emailing or hr route) Also any team preference more likely to give out such an internship? Thanks
there's no big deal about people leaving Vedanta or any company for that matter. It's like any other company where some folks move on after a while. After being there for 8 years, it's natural for someone to want a change. Plus, Vedanta has lots of young folks who are eager but sometimes not so committed, so they come and go and that kind of churning does not represent anything. Recently, Vedanta Legal department hired some really smart and senior legal folks, including one from the US. So, let's not make a fuss about nothing, okay?
Are you, as a law student (or worse, a lawyer), suggesting that the evidence to be submitted in a court of law should come via an anonymous Google form submission, to support a claim made on an anonymous Instagram account?

I pray for those you seek to represent in court one day.
Amusing......one NLU is reprimanded for rape and downplaying it, another one does not pay faculty salaries, a third one institutionalizes corruption in the admin, a fourth one hires faculty via the back door, a fifth one restricts students from wearing certain types of clothes, and the circus continues unabated, with the clowns on this platform cheering.
I know a couple of Indian LLM students in the US who were active during the CAA protests in India and also stand with Gaza, but unlike the CAA protests they are not actively protesting in the US because of the risk of arrest and visa cancellations. They are even signing petitions anonymously, without using their name. It's condemnable that the US is arresting peaceful protestors.
1% of 1.3 billion is 13 million. Would that then include senior lawyers, or even law firm SAs? If you earn Rs 20 lakh to 1 cr a year, like most SAs or partners do, does that put you in the richest 13 million? I would think yes, because the per capita income in India is still very low.

Either I'm missing some context here or this comment by the HC makes no sense. The HC acknowledges that the formal inquiry report found nothing to substantiate evidence of rape or harassment, no official complaint was filed with the IC or the authorities, and the Registrar made a statement essentially stating all of the above. What else was the Registrar supposed to do then?
In first year tort law class we all learnt about โ€œcourse of employmentโ€. If a professor molests a student outside campus, then it still counts because the professor is meeting the student in the capacity of a mentor. In any case, SH is a CRIME, not a tort. A perpetrator should thank his stars if he is merely disciplined by a college and not arrested by the police.
https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/newsclick-founder-prabir-purkayastha-accused-of-terror-funding-in-8-000-page-chargesheet-5561916/amp/1

To refresh everyoneโ€™s memory:

- A report in NYT had alleged a nexus between Chinese Communist Party lobbyist, Neville Roy Singham, and Newsclick. The Delhi police soon arrested the founder of Newsclick, Prabir Purakayastha, who is also a member of the CPI(M).

- The arrest has been condemned by eminent intellectuals. It has been pointed out that your FOE includes the right to espouse pro-China positions and the CPI(M) has been doing so since inception. No illegality in it and zero basis for arrest and detention.

- Meanwhile, noted jurist and NLSIU alum Gautam Bhatia got dragged into the case, as the police alleged that he had been approached by Xiaomi and Vivo to write articles favourable to China and to these companies, in exchange for funding for a think tank that Bhatia was planning to start. But it was not shown that this actually happened and no think tank was started by Bhatia. The naming of Bhatia was condemned by eminent intellectuals, including NLSIU alum and Oxford professor Tarunabh Khaitan. On LI, some critical readers felt that Bhatia may have been regarded as a โ€œuseful idiotโ€ by companies linked to the Chinese government, but again there is no illegality in it and it is routine for lawyers to push for corporate interests through consultation fees. Several senior lawyers do so.

- It was also shared on LI that another NLSIU alum, Rishabh Bailey, who is the son of NewsClick co-founder Geetha Hariharan, had worked for NewsClick and one of Neville Roy Singhamโ€™s companie, but he has not been named. Which suggests that the police singled out Bhatia because of his high-profile.

And now, we see terror funding charges against Purakayastha. Also, the Gautam Bhatia link seems to have been dropped. Thus, the plain fact is that these charges are based on flimsy evidence and speculation. You may not be happy with China, but it is not a crime to support China, just as many people support Netanyahu and Trump. Further, Xiaomi and Vivo are legally operating in India and any lawyer can work for them. By that logic, if AZB represents Xiaomi in a tax case, or Anand & Anand dies so in an IP case, then they also become anti-national!
Maybe we could create an r/lawyersindia, make it a vast and open space with reasonable moderation for all kinds of lawyers across the country
Which is the new one?

Debanjan Mandal's firm (F&M) or Shuva Mandal's and Shourya Mandal's firm (FM&A) ??
Do you really need to ask this question? The answer is no. Not here, not anywhere. Sterility is not really possible in social life.
Dont go to LKS. I'm ex LKS of 10 years, and recently left coz i couldn't bear the โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ. If i could go back in time and ask myself to not go to LKS, I would. But since I can't i'm trying to help here.

The only people who can consider going to LKS have to meet all of the following conditions:

1. You want to do tax all your life. I dont know how at 24-25, anyone is capable of making such a life decision. Once you are at tax lks, you cannot work on any other subject ever coz no one else will hire you. Also their other subject areas are meh, and no one in the industry takes you seriously if you want to move laterally.

2. You dont mind being paid terribly low compared to your peers. An Associate Partner here earns less than a Senior Associate of CAM, SAM, Trilegal, erltc.

3. โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ

4. You โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ

5. You want to work in a tier 2/3 firm. This is not an overall tier 1 firm but only is known coz of its dominant tax practice.

I know most of you are dying for a PPO. I hope atleast some of you can understand my pain. I dont want you to wast your youth here. You will not be happy. Frankly struggling anywhere else will give you more experience and skills than working here.

All the best.
They are a really small team & u generally hear good things about them in the VC / M&A space. The only people who know them are ones who have worked with them, else no one else knows them even. They donโ€™t have a proper website also! Only place to find anything about this firm is their LinkedIn page, which lists some of their old work. Time for Newel to update I guess if they are still in business and doing deals!
The Registrar was up for worse. But AG softened the blow. Hence apology. But only because the HC expects this Registrar to demit office soon since GNLU has advertised for a new Registrar.

Registrar has become the fall guy. He couldn't have acted alone in this entire fiasco. But AG is in a fire-fighting mode and the HC can do little if the inquiry report "found nothing" directly concerning the two issues that were highlighted in the media.

Very interestingly, the ex-SC judges (the one who recused and the other who took her place) were art of the inquiry committee that took up the SH complaint against CJI Gogoi; and that too "found nothing"!
SJA activism exposed multi-crore UGC grant embezzlement. Two judicial inquiries took place. Sadly PIB and Co were successful in diluting follow-up action. But the Registrar was fired. PIB had nearly scored the home run, but SJA did another big exposure and PIB and Co had to leave. PIB went back home, his hand picked Registrar scurried to MNLU Mumbai and later Sym Hyd and other acolytes faced inconvenient days after eons of cakewalks.

Unfortunately, Lord Taluk and later NKC and Co diluted and buried all the inquiries. SJA was hollowed out. COVID brought the house down.

Ironically, a prime recipient of NKC's "magnaminty" has now alleged SH and this may scuttle his chances of getting a full second term. But that hasn't stopped him from monetising postings.
Exactly! LI extensively covered the earlier SH incident (2013-14) involving two admin staff. Mainstream media ran several articles. The media exposure actually resulted in police finally arresting the alleged perpetrator. Later when the alleged perpetrator was fired by the EC in 2019 and he went to Cal HC that has been posted on LI as well including the citation. The 2014 case in local court is still on and the citation is publicly available.

As regards the Associate Professor alleging SH by VC, it is public knowledge. Her WPs in the Cal HC have also been posted in LI and is known to everyone.

What's with the chilling effect?
I think people put shit comments generically -

One comment is - there is no work escape

One comment is- there is too much work, toxic so escape.

Which is correct.
Samvad is a Tier 2 law firm. Compared to other corporate law firms (Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3), the work culture and work life balance usually tends to be better (this is also dependent on which partner you work with). No corporate law firm in India has a healthy work culture but Samvad is relatively less toxic than the others. The salary, bonus and increments are pretty low compared to other Tier 2 law firms and there is no pay band as such. The 2024 hike and bonus were very low. Some of the partners and PAs and SAs are really good to work with but some are downright toxic. Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai are the main offices. Chennai and Hyderabad are 1 partner operations and pay peanuts. Choose wisely.
Hi! I have no idea what the dark, light side thing mean, but would like to volunteer for moderating (i have 40 minutes of i spend commuting to my job, daily)! I was told the process is a lot more complex than this lol.
Because it is your lot which perpetuates this toxicity.

Interns are not in an inherent power dynamic position to do it
Alright let's see if Trilegal has stayed true to its pay structure. Comment with your PQE, fixed pay, and bonus!
Alright let's see if Trilegal has stayed true to its pay structure. Comment with your PQE, fixed pay, and bonus!
HR has no role to play here, they are glorified assistants. Take it up with any associate of your team ask them if your feedback has been submitted and if at all is there any hope for an ppo interview. HR only does what the team says they don't have any power.
Yep. People who blindly love dogs like their own babies without thinking rationally are insufferable. Take your rabid baby home with you don't impose them on us. No one is hating on your dogs it is a issue of security, strays are extremely territorial, running behind cycles and bikes, barking at and biting teachers and students.

You are free to love them as your own, we are free to not.
His team is quite lean and have around 4-5 people. Not sure about their billing. But team wise too kind and sweet people. Definitely can consider.

But again S&P is terrible. Laid back and dont want to pay out on time.
I would like to join! Have been around here for a long time. Infact the main reason why I signed up with an account recently was because I noticed moderation was too slow and you guys would prefer a mod who already has an account.
"centrist in ideology"

Your whole personality is being from an NLU. Didn't even think twice to write law students instead of nlu students.
I can say this for CAM โ€” they have a policy of never allocating you to the same partner who ultimately put in your recommendation for the internship. As a result, unless said partner informs the the partner you're actually assigned to, no one in your team knows about how you came there.

(Though realistically CAM HR policy is notoriously well-known for being much more concerned about which college you're from your GPA that if you come from a lesser-known/T3-or-below college, they'll probably know that you're there through contacts.)

Regardless, in terms of actually answering your question: if you do your work well, your partner will recommend you through feedback, which, after a basic HR scrutiny regarding your year, grades etc, will get converted into a PPO (if you're from GNLU or above) or a callback (if you're from a lower-ranked college and the feedback was less than extraordinary). That's it.

So, tldr; how you got your internship stops mattering the minute you start making your seniors' lives easier.
Who said lower judiciary does not offer money, the starting post salary of variously state judiciary is one lakh plus ( including all amenities) smd excluding official residence and car
Don't ever join hsa they don't pay on time also don't join any tier 2 straight away apply for tier 1 you have good experience
Def Col, Jangpura etc. are residential areas. Most of the buildings have basements that have been converted into office spaces spacious enough to accommodate 5-10 people max. These areas are preferred by small chambers due to the proximity to HC, SC, Tribunals etc.

Coming to the second question, South-Central Delhi has very few commercial office spaces for accommodating 200-500 employees. Most of them are in CP/Barakhamba Road area but those buildings are old, about to collapse and mostly reserved for government offices. AZB, KCO etc. used to have their main NCR office in that area but have now shifted to Noida for bigger, spacious and fancier offices.
Maggon apparently dangles the carrot of promotion. Someone mentioned him doing that with a mid level. His loyalties for his juniors usually keep on changing
Mods. Will love to write blog posts & articles like court witness or victory flower used to do once. Will breathe some life into this site
Heard lot of high profile exits from Vedanta. Recently their Dy GC also left the organisation after 8 year stint in company. Is all not good with the company?
We would love more mods to join, thanks for posting.

If you're interested, please say hi with your username (with a posting history of comments, preferably) and let us know which side you would want to join (dark or light) and why.
Are you dumb? He will still be an associate even if heโ€™s hired. Itโ€™s best for him to practise in High court or tribunals independent.
White collar has 2 types of practises, investigations and trial. If trial then Luthra, if investigation then Trilegal
Hello there...

A0 with IP experience here. If anyone is aware of any IP/TMT opportunities open in any firms in Bangalore, please help out by sharing the necessary details.
The first batch has just reached 3rd year. Because of the IIM brand and personal family contacts, they are getting internships so far.
I have been in the profession for 14 years now. The answer to your question is actually simple - learn to say no. If someone is giving you more work than you can handle, being abusive, intruding in personal life, long hair, etc. - just say no.

BUT, there has to be an order to things. Focus on being good/ indispensable in your work. I dont know what hair band you use or how you other wise dress - long hair cant be an excuse to look shoddy. Someone wearing red pant and green shirt (no matter howsoever formal looking and branded) will be asked to revisit his wardrobe.

Your question was a bit free-flowing (as if no one ever had this idea of keeping long hair during job), hence I believe the initial negative feedback. No one gives a crap how you keep your hair. Just dont end up losing your job because of this. In life, you will face situations where you will have to give up (hard earned) things that will be more valuable than hair. So, I guess, just take a chill pill for now, grow your hair, push your boss back a bit, then tell us in 6 months what happenned. Sounds good?
What do you mean? He has good knowledge of criminal law including corporate, insolvency etc and even a CS. White collar crime is basically criminal law with some corporate, tax elements which he is completely qualified for. Stop saying lies
so what about the number of cases are they more or very less and who are some good advocates specializing in this area
What nonsense is this? He isnโ€™t qualified at all to be a white collar crime lawyer maybe other areas and he will be regarded as only as associate in that firm even if heโ€™s hired so itโ€™s best if he stays at his job or practice independently in tribunals or High court
If you got accepted to top LLM programmes like Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, etc itโ€™s easier to get your foot in renowned international law firms albeit still tremendously difficult. It doesnโ€™t matter what experience you will have, you will still be a regarded associate in designation. Itโ€™s futile to have a future as a dispute resolution lawyer abroad however if you were interested in corporate, it would be easier but still difficult nonetheless

No NLU has sufficient number of UPSC aspirants in a batch to make this viable for any coaching centre, especially if the coaching is to be on campus and the NLU is away from the city. Maybe NLSIU with its latest 300 strong batch.
Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Atal Bihari Bajpeyi and Dr. Manmohan Singh this four are the best prime minister ever had
top management promotes nationalism here, even though a lot of them privately are also socialists.

have shown an intention to acquire other competing european companies

expect a lot of m&a work and a fair bit of litigation
Seeing the decline of LI with slow moderation and lack of anonymity; are there any other Indian legal forums that we can use ?
Best solution is to outsource moderation to a group of NLU students, who are ideally centrist in ideology and against both conservative and woke censorship
Wow so the discrimination is real and very much institutionalized. Weird since Iโ€™ve seen a few exceptions, wonder how theyโ€™ve made it fly.
Depends heavily upon the year, economy, firm trends & practices, and individual batches โ€” but on the basis of past 4-5 years as I've seen it, the rough percentage for T1 offers would be around 25-35%. Another 10-15% get comparably paying T2/boutique firms, and another 10-15% get decently paying in-house opportunities (ranging anywhere from 12-18LPA). A decent number (maybe 20-30%?) don't sit for placements and opt for litigation chambers, higher studies, competitive exams etc, and the rest settle for whatever opportunity they can get around the end of the programme.
I don't see a question here, and even if there were one, I don't think anyone else should answer and make that choice for you. In general professional contexts, not pursuing your field further after such a long degree would not be great for your CV and make scholarships highly unlikely, but hey, if your desire is strong enough and you can afford things on your parent's money, then who is anyone else to complain? :)
Approach older but well-established law firms which have perhaps not revised their firm structure around PPOs and prefer to hire freshers as trainees. A good example would be P&A Law Offices, which pays around 14LPA and has a great reputation in its niche areas, coupled with an okay-ish overall reputation. Other relatively lower-paying examples could perhaps be Desai & Diwanji, Fox & Mandal etc.
Hi, the best general tips on tangibly improving your academic and holistic performance in a T1 law school can probably be found in a detailed comment here: https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/341626-how-to-succeed-in-nalsar

But more than this, I want to highlight that - as a soon-to-graduate senior from NALSAR, I can confirm that I've seen far too many famed over-achievers come to nalsar from reserved category admissions, across batches. In fact, it's widely acknowledged that CLAT is an imperfect test that primarily evaluates your grasp of English and (supposedly) logical reasoning โ€” but someone with enough money and social capital would come from a far better schooling and get far better coaching than their peers. This would, and indeed does, enable the privileged aspirants to game the system and thereby get a better score โ€” in reality, a majority of the people from unreserved category at NLS/NALSAR/NUJS come from certain privilege. I can attest to this for Nalsar, particularly after the pattern changes etc. So, their CLAT rank is very likely not a reflection of "inherent intelligence", but rather firstly of privilege (of better schooling, coaching, having knowledgeable people guide you, likely money etc), and then merit.

Moral of the story? Don't take CLAT ranks to your heart. Once you're in the college, they're irrelevant.

On the other hand, in my humble opinion, what you've described in your struggles could be because of a plethora of reasons, ranging from (i) possible limited access to the best schools, whereas your general category friends from Delhi-Bombay very probably did, and that changes everything from how confident you feel to how much "new" efforts you need to put for exams due to how used to "faffing" you are, which practically gives most of the marks in law school; (ii) possible limited access to as good an amount of competitions promoting overall development and English proficiency as your peers likely did, and (iii) maybe you aren't as outgoing and befriending as some of your overconfident general category peers, who might be getting the simple advantage of asking the right seniors about notes, advice, and help etc.

I could be wrong about some of those inferences about you, but in general, most of such reasons as applicable to you are - crucially - not about "inherent" intelligence, but rather stemming from the fact that perhaps you weren't on a level-playing field as the people you want to compete with. That's understandable, and alright โ€” but what you must do, is shift the focus from questioning any "inherent intelligence" and get into the groove of putting efforts to level your own playing field. In that light, a lot of the "inherently intelligent" people do not become great lawyers; it's far more about "capability" of putting the hard work in a smart manner that helps those working above you โ€” which can only be developed, in due time. Your internships are intended to test this capability, and yes, smartness can help, but ultimately, almost everyone would be far more likely to give job offers to a very hard-working person with baseline smartness, rather than a smart but lazy intern.

So, buckle up. Everything's fine. The roadmap can be found in the comment I've attached. This comment should be enough motivation and clarification for the other concerns. The rest is in your hands :)
What even is the point? LI, for reasons best known to itself, sensors most comments for the Firm. Whether thatโ€™s their policy or at behest of someone at the Firm is best left to your judgment. I have personally seen some comments being published and then removed/ censored after a few hours. It becomes meaningless.

What could be a potential avenue and information forum for folks to evaluate the Firm, before they join, is being frittered away by LI.

Shame!
Something like a Tata Harrier or Mahindra Scorpio should not be considered crap. Such elitism should go. Judiciary should accept that they are not my lords that they will be given BMW
I am interested in corporate but I am certainly not made for corporate; my college has decent placements but they mostly invite lawfirms. What all places are there which gives ppos to freshers for inhouse roles?
been trying to reach out to Mohit, given he is my alumini but have not heard back at all, I've also heard good things about him.
I'm thinking about possibly applying for Sim & San, how is it? And which team to prefer (Prosecution or Litigation)?
Exactly. Itโ€™s not their job to read everything. The only sustainable way to run a scalable not for profit thing is to let everything be posted and just moderate flagged content (Flagged by a user).
Thread title. How is it? They take admissions via CLAT.

Will the IIM brand name be useful during placements? NCR location is an advantage.
recently opposition politicians are saying that SC judges feel pressurised while giving judgements and I have seen a narrative being built that SC is not independent from government and government decides what judgment will come.
This has increased after the Arrest of Kejriwal and his cabinet ministers.
Do have any suggestions as to what firms to look out for in Delhi? Good team, mentorship, money, etc
Are you joking? Itโ€™s best if he leaves the job and be an independent lawyer practising in High court or any other tribunals. Donโ€™t give false assurances that he will be an asset just a liability
The batch in which this issue arose already knows the identity of the perpetrator as well as the victim. There had been witnesses to the incident as well.

Don't make the queerphobia incident anymore than it needs to be since it has already been cleared up. The principal issue in this case has been that of sexual assault/ rape. The reason why the fact finding committee was "bust" is because the victim, if there ever was, chose not to come out or even reveal the name of the offender to the concerned authorities. There has been widespread concerns of malicious intent behind sharing such post and that such a thing has not occurred. 210 students per batch and she still couldn't have come forward despite over arching support rendered by the student body, faculty, alumni and judiciary. This is the propaganda, quit bringing politics into it. All that was achieved had been to make the student community and parents feel unsafe. If this report had been a joke, fess up and cease this nonsense
