Hopefully now NLSIU will see some sense and institute a policy where SC/ST students are not made to pay fees for dropping a year. They should additionally be given extra coaching to help them pass. A 5 mark concession in the pass mark can also been given, or perhaps an open book exam model. You expect someone with 3,000 years of poverty and psychological trauma to pass exams meant for privileged elites?

I am unsure of why you feel taking medications will undo your neurodiversity, leading you to say "I don't have plans on taking any medications because I feel being neurodivergent has helped with a lot of things". It will only channel it better in my personal experience. Let the medical professionals take a call on whether or not you need medications. You aren't qualified, informed, or equipped to make that call.
Whether you take medication or not, go to a psychologist who knows these conditions well and undergo CBT. Medicine can only take you from A to B. Holistic treatment by including therapy and any other lifestyle modifications is what is shown to have the biggest effect. Any medication will help your brain focus better, get distracted less. But where you choose to focus can't be corrected by medication. So first try to understand your own neurodiversity better and please stop seeing it as something that needs a "fix".

1. Establishment version: The student was caught cheating with a mobile phone (using ChatGPT) by the invigilator, Prof Suryanarayan Dulla. He returned to his room and committed suicide.
2. Student's parents version: Absolutely fake reason by the admin. This was a planned conspiracy to pick on the student because he was an SC. Prof Dulla was hurling casteist abuse at the student for the past 3 months, at the behest of the IITB Director, Prof Shireesh Kedare.

Latest development is that a case has been filed against Prof Dulla under the SC/ST Act and BNS. Two other have been named in the FIR but their names have not been disclosed in the media: is one of them the IITB Director? Now we have to see if Prof Dulla and the IITB Director will be arrested.
Meanwhile, opinion on Reddit is mixed. Some support the admin, some support the parents.
But what about NLUs? Any similar cases? Are SC students picked on?

The confluence of astronomical fees, humongous batch sizes, mediocre faculty, broken infrastructure, degrading student quality, regressive thinking, and uncertain placements is making this a perfect storm for NLS, and it cannot be reversed. Being a state university, it does not have the leverage to shape things.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just chill, relax and have as much fun as you can. NO amount of hardwork/upskilling before the job is going to help you. 99% of learning is done on the job. Enjoy whatever time you have left. The time period between when I got my job and when I axtually joined were probably some of the best days of my life. No stress whatsoever (you will not feel this again, probably for the rest of your life). I feel bad about the time I spent reading NDA research papers and attending those clementine courses made for us.

I would also like people to give an honest view regarding the above. If your seniors and colleagues have an easier life because you do good work and are pleasant to be around why then do you also have to have this additional layer to be kept around and employed. Work is work. Doing a good to excellent job and being pleasant should be enough.
Just like how tech companies have started hiring back their developers after realising that AI is more expensive compared to human talent, I am sure the legal industry will also have this realisation.
