Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has promoted 7 to its partnership (including one as a partner-equivalent director in competition).

There are only promotions in Delhi, according to its press release, with corporate seeing three promotions while the competition team had two senior additions from the ranks.

It is understood that no other internal promotions at any of the firm’s other offices are expected.

Three of the new partners are graduates of SLS Pune, with one each from ILS Pune, NLSIU Bangalore, and Amity Law School.

Last year the firm had promoted eight to partnership (out of whom three were based in Mumbai).

The promotions take effect from 1 April, and increase the Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas’ partner headcount to 117, of whom 43 are women. The firm has 552 fee-earners in total (including partners), of whom 275 are women.
