Trilegal has promoted six of its lawyers to its equity partnership, more than at any point in its history, growing to a total partnership size of 50.*
While only six of the firm’s 44 partners (or 14%) are currently women, come 1 April with this latest promotion, that ratio will increase slightly to eight out of 50 (or 16%).
Nalsar Hyderabad produced two of the new partners, with one each hailing from other national law schools NLU Jodhpur, NUJS Kolkata, NLSIU Bangalore and Nuals Kochi.
The six new partners are:
Amar Narula (NLU Jodhpur 2008, energy and infrastructure, New Delhi),
“These are all exceptional practitioners,” commented partner Rahul Matthan in a press release: “The new partners are being promoted across practices and offices. This is testament to the depth of the talent pool in the organisation.
“It is also a moment of great happiness and pride that two of them started their career at the firm and have now been elected to the partnership. It is an exciting time for legal practice in India and we are well poised to address a growing demand for top end legal advice.”
Partner Kosturi Ghosh added: “It is particularly heartening to see an increasing number of women partners getting promoted every year in Trilegal. Diversity is important in an organization as it creates a more rounded and inclusive work culture.”

He did go from D&D and hence achieved so much. If he continued wonder if he would want to even stay alive. About his team and partner, less said the better!!
It is high time LI does a scientific ranking of law schools based on partner promotions. The cut off date can be batches graduating no earlier than 2005 or 2006.
Why are you so obsessed with rankings? I highly doubt you are actually a law grad. Nobody out in the real world gives a damn about law school rankings once they actually start working.
Yeah, even I was wondering. Information of such nature which is so easily verifiable, should not be wrongly inserted. And, the fact that it has already been brought to the notice of the writer of the article, and has not yet been corrected, shows their callous attitude towards admitting when they are wrong.
As indicated in the article, the practice profiles are actually direct quotes from the Trilegal press release. We could change it, but then it wouldn't be a direct quote anymore and would have to put it in square brackets... In any case, everyone always says Nalsar, right?
Tine is the star. Absolute gem of a person and what a fantastic senior to work under. Got to be as stunning as her. So impressive infront of clients! Do watch out for her.

First, scientific rankings of law schools based on number of litigators.
Second, scientific rankings of law schools based on prominence of the students who have gone into academia.
Third, scientific rankings of commentary on LI based on foolishness of their content. Like yours.
