The efforts are completely individual - yes Dyam true. But doesn’t mean they don’t look at your college at all. RCC won’t have much role here to play. But if what you said was true , then people from tier-2/tier-3 NLU would have possessed an equal shot. I am not insulting those college’s insecurity but actually putting up the reality. Recently Symbi Pune got offers but that’s not a regular thing for them. In fact it was after a very long time that they got offers from magic circle. Till GNLu one has a good chance of foreign law firms. When I was in a tier-3 nlu initially my seniors told me that “phoren woren bhul jao , domestic upma seh kaam chala lo”.
I have a few more questions.
My only point at this time frame of choosing NALSAR over NLSIU is that I am very very afraid of the trimester system ( I am decent in studies but not 100% academically focused even if I want to and doesn't have that rigour). I have heard that NLS blocks the student GPA after 3rd year. Also, I get the feeling that I might fail a year NLSIU.
I was talking about CBCS( choice based credit system) when I said students can choose their own course in NALSAR.
Pls elaborate a little bit more on the academics part.
the classrooms will shift to the main campus in two years time, the construction has already started to add two floors to the academic building to build the labs and extra classrooms. University has bought a new bus to ferry students, the temp buildings are about 2.5km away
The hostel situation is a bit tricky, although provisions have been made to accomodate the incoming batch of the bsc llb students but this will get fully filled up after next years incoming batch, although land had been allocated during the time of ishwara bhatt to build new hostel block but the govt agency which held the land refused to hand over the land inspite of order by the govt, so it is stuck in a limbo
however, there are lot of PGs available in the neighbourhood, and the situation may change in 2026 when this problem will occur
So remember just this one advice and I can ensure that you will have a good stay here.
Imagine if someone falls sick of unfortunately someone loses his near ones. No more chances of appearing the Exemption exam.
What if a student couldn't appear a single paper? Won't be get a year back.
Such Draconian policies would lead to more mental health crisis amongst students.
High time for juniors to raise their voice against Maladministration or Face the same.
CURRICULUM (My biggest Concern, I want to have a balanced life of academics and college life): It's less hectic, more student friendly and approachable(students can choose design their own course by choosing their own subjects) than NLSIU Bangalore because it doesn't have the trimester system(I have heard it gets a lot hectic, exhaustive and mundane over time) which NLSIU Bangalore has.
PLACEMENT (Major concern): I know both these colleges have good corporate placements. The placement rate is 90% for NALSAR and 76% for NLSIU when compared domestically but internationally NALSAR Hyderabad has 7-8 foreign placements per batch where as NLSIU Bangalore has 3-4.
CAMPUS SIZE :55 acre vs 23 acre. I have no problem regarding the fact that NALSAR Hyderabad is 30km from the main city.
LATEST 5 YEAR FEES: 12 lakh vs 16 Lakh+ (additional mess fees). Money isn't a big concern here but it is better to save some and use it somewhere else. Also, ROI is better in NALSAR Hyderabad.
From what I have heard about NLSIU Bangalore is that there is too much academic pressure due to which social life gets hampered a lot, increased batch size has diluted the level of professors as well as they have not yet built hostels(in construction)for the increased batch size for the people coming thru NLSAT as well as the latest 2020 VC crisis where they had protested and made the VC Resign and in the same year NLSIU separated from Consortium of NLUs due to late conduction of the Clat and took it's own examination(candidates used unfair means) so as to avoid a zero year and save rs.16 crore.
Despite all of this NLSIU Bangalore is still on 1st position in college rankings and my teachers in coaching are advising to put NLSIU Bangalore at 1st and NALSAR at 2nd. This is the main reason why I am hesitant in putting NALSAR Hyderabad over NLSIU Bangalore.
I also want to add one thing since I am OBC. I have more chances of getting into NALSAR Hyderabad than NLSIU Bangalore based on the ranks required for NLSIU(171-841, 1st merit 2023) & NALSAR(923-1116, 1st merit list 2023)
So, my fellow seniors studying in these colleges please guide me as to what my decision should be based on the info I provided above.
Tldr: Putting NALSAR at 1st preference for CLAT due to less hectic curriculum, bigger campus size, less fees and better international placements but everyone (coaching teachers, mentors on YT) is saying that say NLSIU is older and on the 1st position so put it on the 1st preference. Totally confused, pls help.
Please Give your Thoughts, Insights & guide me as to making a right decision.
Is this true, Tier 1 associates? No leave, seriously?
In comparison, many street food hawkers in big cities easily earn between 1 to 5 lakhs a month.
Today, the list of applicants who paid the application fees for WBNUJS' BSCLLB course (BSC in Forensics and Criminology) was released.
In general All-India category, there are 22 seats. My serial number is 25. This list is of 26th June (and there was an email on a very short notice sent by WBNUJS for all the applicants on 6th July wherein they had to reply with their self-attested Aadhar Card and CLAT score card by 7th July), so by now there's a high probability many students above me would've joined other colleges or simply couldn't make it on time.
So, in case I get it, should I join WBNUJS' BSCLLB course? I heard they'd have a new campus and hostels, but the subjects they're offering are pretty good and since WBNUJS has one of the best ,if not the best, domestic placements in the NLU circuit, the placements after 5 years may also be good (the placement committee for both BALLB and BSCLLB would be the same).
Even if the placements aren't good, they really aren't an issue for me. The college has a really good brand value, and from next year the crowd would be great as well (NLIU's BSCLLB closes <AIR 600 despite it being exclusive for science stream students, and WBNUJS' BSCLLB is for everyone). Also, considering these factors, would giving CLAT 2024 be worth it (it'll be my second drop)?
(cc: NUSRL - won’t reveal my batch)
Someone who gets into NLS in your place will be grateful for your charity.
So a person from any average college has as good a chance as someone from NLS/NALSAR.
Need to decide between Cap Marks team of Kco and Gen Corp team of Luthra.. which is better for long term.
Please help
Also, maybe it's not a good idea for girls to wear expensive and glamorous designer clothes in a setting where most students are middle-class and cannot afford such clothes? To that extent does the NLU fashion scene differ from Jindal?
As someone who is in the editorial board of blog and journal at a tier 1 NLU, I could assure you that no one is using AI checkers yet. Also, plagiarism could be easily bypassed if you are smart enough.
And then there are moots which are as useless as bullshit when it comes to practical application of law.
Abhi STEM walo ka list banega to poora LI chhota pad jayega.
anyone will be appreciated

You can smear all you want, but the people #StandWithRamanuj.
Also, Naiyya Saggi and Peter Thiel in the same category? LOL.
Be from a top 3 NLU
Have confidence
I recall what NUJS has achieved too, they've won both the Vis Moots twice (and the first two were before NLUD was even set up), ELSA WTO and Stetson Worlds. Certainly not bad from NUJS, but not better than NLUD especially comparing the last 10 years once NLUD had a full five batches every year. Look at the MPL between 2010-18, NLUD performed better than NUJS is most years.
Please share the link.
The reason people like you will keep shouting that NALSAR is better is merely the same perception idea that makes some say that NLS is much better than NALSAR. They’re an older brand that are historically established. Not a better one anymore. And as far as NUJS goes, I think they’re also better than NALSAR in student achievements in recent years. But the admin and politics undoes most of the good work. And no, NLUD is better than NUJS too. It caught up a long time ago, not my fault if you’re unaware/want to remain in denial.
