During 2008 financial crisis when some of the firms held back offers, they offered to pay the fees for LLM course, I am sure with the firms being flush with money now something like this can be negotiated
The NLUD submission to NIRF has been discredited in so many different ways that the aim should be find out whether there was criminal culpability or plain incompetence or motivated negligence.
My money is on incompetence.
1. NLS
2. NLUD
3. NALSAR
4. NUJS
5. GNLU
6.NLUJ
7. NLIU
You want to argue, then put proper facts on the table to justify a claim of overwhelming superiority.
Legends - NLU VCs who completed full term(s)
Menon (NLS & NUJS)
R Venkata Rao (NLS)
Ranbir Singh (Nalsar & NLUD)
MP Singh (NUJS)
Faizan Mustafa (Nalsar)
Poonam Saxena (NLU Jodhpur)
They must be appreciated.
Opportunists: Those who left their VC term without doing anything good and jumped to another NLU
SKD Rao - NLU Odisha to NLU Delhi to NALSAR (2 switch in one term)
GS Bajpai - RGNUL Patiala to NLU Delhi
Keshava Rao - Left NUSRL midway to DSNLU (close to home)
Nagraj - Left DNLU Jabalpur to Trichy (promotion?)
You can find many others. Most of them mediocre and poor if compare with great NLU VCs like Menon, Ranbir Singh or MP Singh.
My parents are literally trying to screw me over with their idiotic decisions that are making live worse for everyone. They are not able to fund my education further after my llb because they already have a house EMI to repay , which we never wanted to live in anyway. They are insisting that I take a loan to continue my education.
I am doing a job but I feel a master's would help me immensely in my professional career ahead , but I'm stuck in an impasse here since my parents won't give me a penny now. Again, we al know how difficult it is to get a job after law anyway .
I am also Ok with taking a loan, but the only thighs that are bugging me are
1. There are no guarantee of placement after llm and I am on my own to get a job thereafter, so it's completely baseless to burden anyone with a loan .
2. The amount is not that much also < 6 lakhs for an year , so idk how to deal with the situation.
Not only this , they wouldn't help me even if I go for a cheaper masters, as they are apparently broke , but the house we just bought costed more than probably a 1bhk in lower Parel .Also to mention we had another ancestral home in the same city, which we haven't sold out yet,but we still shifted to this flat for the sake of amenities.
Please help, or am I doomed to suffer?

Such opportunistic moves must be condemned.
People like him or SKD Rao or Bajpai who just jump from one NLU to other for their own selfish motives set bad precedents.
Wish someone blacklist such people who don't complete their term
2. NALSAR/ NUJS
3. NLU Delhi
4. NLUJ / GNLU/NLIU
5. HNLU/ RMLNLU/ RGNUL/ NUALS/ MNLU Mumbai/ NLUO
6. All others
Please reply if you have any knowledge on the subject. Thank You!
Take CLAT again.
Is it okay?
Please drop how many students have received the assessment centre invite from your NLU for Linklaters India Internship from Batch of 2025.
And if there are doubts over Bharat being a civilisation, how do you explain the constitution adopting the phrase India that is Bharat
Clearly the makers of the constitution appreciated the civilisational continuity of this land
Today's Nehruvians harp that India was not a Nation before British came. They maybe should read what Nehru said in 1961 while addressing the AICC
Guy has studied law in IIT Kharagpur and you are saying he has no academic credentials?🤣🤣
They haven't responded so far about the UGC guidelines. Should I hire a lawyer to draft and send the legal notice on my behalf?
Not sure how to proceed from here.
Thanks
I have been applying for trilegal internship for last 2 months through their website and I have asked for all kind of slots from oct-feb but what I have recieved is only rejection response.

Someone (perhaps the CAM HR Rep reading this thread) should ask him what academic excellence did his partners like Rishabh Shroff sir, Paridhi Shroff ma’am and Abhinav Kumar sir, exhibit during their respective pursuits of law degrees.
And the only reason this came to mind was due to a possible rumour being propagated by his own employees (albeit drunk) from the projects and banking practice regarding Rishabh Shroff sirs (failed) stint in NY.
Best if Cyril bhai can actually clarify the actual facts to his own employees from the projects and banking practice so that they propagate the truth in place of defamatory lies.
PS: apart from the personalities named above, various other partners lack the kind of academic excellence that he expects first-gen law grads with limited resources to exhibit.
Clarification: Bonuses mean something over and above the monthly salary. Did your monthly salary credit this month? Heard its been more than two months now.
May be he just values 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, time off on weekends for spending with family, humane working hours during the week, and having meals on time. after a point it doesnt really make a difference in your life whether you make 2crs a year or 5crs a year when you have given no time to your family, burried your head into work and at the age of 40 have had uncountable diseases because of your erratic lifestyle.
Law is a marathon not a sprint.

next year the gen all india CLAT cut off for bsc at nujs will be less than 500
however, its just plain wrong that nujs did the bsc llb counselling outside the clat framework, someone should file a pil on this
Your words manifest your frustration.
Stop cursing non Nlu students.
The ones who grabbed the ppo despite coming from not so good college, they must be appreciated for their hardwork and not criticized.
They must not be even reading your messages because they don't have this much time unlike you 😂
They did it whatever they want to and achieved something in life but it's a bitter truth that ones who succeed in life are pulled down by few idiots.
Dude, focus on yourself!
That would be helpful:)
An Associate needs to assist seniors across all offices when hired, that's the scene with Samvad and that's why it pays almost same at all offices/locations.
I’m pretty sure students at both places know that the two have their individual merits and demerits. And I think there’s mutual appreciation between both places for their institutional achievements. I don’t see this need to keep comparing and claiming we’re better than NUJS/NALSAR. I know multiple people who choose NLUD over NUJS/NALSAR and many others who opt for NUJS, etc over NLUD. All said and done, they’re both two of the few very good places for law in India and anyone who’s been to either can testify. Moderator should ideally do a better job is preventing more of such ridiculous threads/comments. The toxicity of this site can be reduced if the Mod is serious about creating a more congenial environment for actually useful discussions.
May be 10-11 lpa as quoted earlier by someone.

Wait... JGLS. Okay, this information just became so much more credible.
Approximate figures are fine. Additionally answers to the followed would be great:
a)For how long is partnership worth it?
b) Does the pay for partnership increase as per experience?
c) is the pay for an partner team specific/deal specific or neutral in the above aspects?
Having legitimate responses would shed light on one of the core aspirations that law students have )
To clear firstly about the funds.
NLU Nagpur is the only NLU in Maharashtra which is making it's name in the state's annual budget since last 3 years for each year's basic administrative & functioning Aid.[Verify it by going through the Maharashtra Annual budget Pdf for the past three financial years]
Coming to placements
Yes the On Campus placement scene is not as good as what others well established campuses have but we are definately improving on that front too .
Could confirm a MNC visiting for on campus placement drive for batch of 23 . But yes the on campus placement is not that attractive.
But the environment here is well enough that if you're determined you could easily crack and secure PPOs at Trilegal[2 PPO for batch of 23],Khaitan,Argus & Fox Mandal.[ Kindly do some efforts in 'LinkedIn hunting' for gathering credible information rather than throwing comments in the sky]
No new NLU from the time and around the time when NLU Nagpur was built has ever published placement data for their first batch but placement stats for our first batch of 21 is available publicly that to on NIRF.
Coming to the amount of fees which the University is charging, Please come to our University as then only you would realise how that every penny which is being charged is being utilised to keep the standard of the Infra in the Campus High in comparison to other dilapidated NLUs Infra.
Adding to the high fees component criticism ,The University is the foremost collaborative with other state government for ensuring that scholarship scheme of different states govt is easily availed at NLU Nagpur.
Students from MP,UP,RJ & MH are the one who mostly enjoy these benifits.
The university is expansion mode ever since it's inception it started with the humble intake of 60 students and today it welcomes around 250+ students every year.
Please share some insights? Some experienced professionals?
Reading though, start with topics you enjoy and short ones.
Nujs folks become so hyper justifying their placements against nlu Delhi that they have (in majority of threads) stated things like “Oh we are not only better than you , but we are the best.” So annoying and so bloody pathetic from them to make false claims like these. They are an amazing college with awesome placements but definitely that good enough to be the best. Their recruitment is genuinely good and in fact slightly better than NLU Delhi (well for now) at least.
This rivalry has not only affected this forum in whole but it has tarnished several aspects of admission as well. So for aspirants , retakers and for the people who just got admission *(if y’all are sitting for it again) - then the collective , justified and verified preference should be :-
1. NLS
2. NALSAR
3. NLU Delhi (you can keep nujs here if you are in cal or want to be in cal)
4. WBNUJS
5. NLUJ / GNLU
Dear tier 3 folks plz grow up. Your petty insecurities only gives a leading edge to NLU folks. Hence, before questioning their capabilities introspect yourself first
What should I do now?
