Money is decent but man is this is how it is going to be?
Health is a taking toll. No time for family, friends or relationship.
Is there a way out? I want to make good money, I'll be honest, but not in this way man. Where neither I nor my family (or even kids or wife later) can enjoy.
Is MBA better or is it the same?
Help a brother out please.
P.S. Mods, please approve, this is a neutral email ID for outreach.
Do you want me to reproduce what women politicians from the ruling party, including the chief minister, have said on rape cases?
Can someone shed some light on the PPO Procedure for IC RegFin Mumbai office. Also if you kindly help me understand what teams are good, it would be most appreciated. Thanks.
Dear senior folks, please suggest if the shift is worth it ? Will I miss on anything ?
Is there a big pay difference at senior level ?
Request a dedicated answer please.

If he had the backing you claim he has, would he have ran?
All this falls apart if you look at numbers, look at the electoral bond disclosures. The congress is nowhere near to the lvl of money BJP has.
The BJP owns Hindi and English Legacy media, there's literally not a channel right now that will not toe the line. Yet whatever little dissent exists we are saying it's asymmetric?
That's literally obvious, why would Kamra talk about Rahul Gandhi? Is he in power since 10+ years?
What about the supreme leader? The state has to be questioned, regardless of who runs it.
By logic if i criticise the state, i must also criticise the opposition? But why? Are they same in terms of the executive power they yield?
You want opposition to be criticised, watch North Korean style TV on our very own Republic TV.
The BJP has the country in a chokehold and all TV channels criticise are the opposition! The prime minister of the country has done 2 press conferences across 3 tenures in power. Yet we still Rahul Gandhi to be criticised.
Literally yesterday the PM did a national address where he mentioned the Congress 59 times. He talks about a Prime Minister who died in 1965 and why hia failings are why the supreme leader is helpless. But sure Kunal Kamra is the problem lmao suree buddy
Wake up and smell the sauce.
----------------------------------------------
Mandatory affidavit requiring students to abstain from participation in protests, demonstrations, or collective action against the University.
Provision allows for strict disciplinary action, including expulsion, for violation.
Raises concerns regarding:
Freedom of speech and expression
Right to dissent within institutional spaces
Disproportionate disciplinary consequences
2. Hostel Administration & Privacy Concerns
-----------------------------------------------
Unannounced and intrusive hostel inspections, including early morning entries.
Reported instances of:
Forced access (e.g., breaking of windows/doors where access not granted)
Regular corridor surveillance and monitoring
Lack of prior notice for inspections, affecting privacy and dignity of students.
Wardens (who are also faculty) engaging in frequent and unnecessary monitoring, including questioning of personal movements.
Confiscation of personal belongings and appliances without clear rules or justification.
3. Conflict of Roles: Faculty as Wardens
----------------------------------------
Faculty members simultaneously acting as academic evaluators and hostel wardens.
Creates:
Conflict of interest
Perceived risk of bias in academic evaluation
Discomfort among students in interacting freely in residential spaces
4. Entry–Exit Restrictions and Student Autonomy
-----------------------------------------------
Strict in-timing regulations and limited access to campus facilities (e.g., library restrictions).
Restrictions justified on grounds of safety/health, but:
Reduce student autonomy
Limit academic flexibility, especially for late-night study
5. Basic Infrastructure Deficiencies
------------------------------------
Poor quality drinking water, leading students to purchase external water despite paying for facilities.
Mess-related issues:
Declining food quality
Hygiene concerns (including insects reported)
Delays in mess rebates
Weak Wi-Fi connectivity, affecting academic work.
Other concerns:
Poor road conditions
Inadequate sheds and campus facilities
Under-equipped or inaccessible gym
6. Healthcare and Emergency Infrastructure
------------------------------------------
Absence of on-campus doctor / medical staff
Lack of proper infrastructure in the ambulance (no oxygen/life supporting supply) or an emergency response system inside the ambulance
Raises concerns regarding student safety and emergency preparedness
7. Academic Concerns (Faculty Shortage)
---------------------------------------
Severe shortage of faculty, leading to:
Same faculty teaching multiple unrelated subjects
Reduced academic depth and engagement
Impacts overall quality of legal education
8. Administrative Accountability & Student Engagement
---------------------------------------------------------
Reported instances of:
Dismissive responses from administration on safety concerns
Refusal to acknowledge or apologise for administrative lapses
Perception that:
Issues are treated as non-obligatory services rather than institutional responsibilities
Student concerns are not meaningfully addressed
9. Suppression of Student Expression
------------------------------------
Instances of:
Cultural/creative performances being censored on perceived criticism of administration
Student bodies/clubs adopting self-censorship due to administrative pressure
Creates a chilling effect on:
Free expression
Academic and cultural discourse
10. Disciplinary Environment & Fear Culture
-----------------------------------------------
Students raising concerns (e.g., via emails/IRL) reportedly facing:
Proctorial notices
Action based on tone or communication style
Leads to:
Hesitation in raising legitimate grievances
Reduced transparency and dialogue
11. Unnecessary spending on New faculty chambers, Inner Circle and other facilities that disproportionately improve lives and conditions for Faculty and staff at the detriment of Students. When students' needs are more pertinent.
But I think NISM syllabus will help with regulatory exams?
Is this a tacit admission by JGLS that they don't have a talent pool themselves and so are having to rely on external talent pool to organise these talks?

From what I’ve heard, conversions at ICICI can be a bit team-dependent. All the best!
hours logged and recovered by the salaried partner like any other PA SA and A and hence if the salaried partner works with a team he or she will not meet targets since someone else is executing most of it.
It doesnt work that way, friend. T1s will have 500 better candidates than you for their commercial litigation vacancies. You can't have it both ways🤷♂️. If you're serious about changing practice areas, you will have to join a chamber and survive on 25k per month.

DSNLU, NLSIU - quarter finalists
The competition practice has largely been under NKU's shadows since she walked in a couple of years ago. Would help to know how this side of the firm is doing.
HNLU Admin has mastered the skill of public relations to some extent. The only thing that they managed to pull off in the last few years is signalling to the outside world that the University is functioning at its best. However, it is as dismantled internally as it could be.
The students work tirelessly to get everything for themselves, be it moot court achievements, conferences, publications, and internships. It's not a hidden fact that when it comes to a PPO, a lot depends on the relationship between the concerned law firm and the University. The students have faced this for a long time that despite doing extremely well, we don't get a fruitful response.
The Admin has its stance clear - we won't invite any firm to collaborate; the firm should pitch us their ideas. I don't know, but are we Harvard or something? The placements are in shambles; be it Batch 2025, 2026, or 2027, every batch has taken the heat. But but the Admin believes that the firm should come to us. All they do is act disrespectful to anyone and everyone!
Hit and keep hitting where it hurts. Follow your and their monies. And the answers will emerge. Also it's not a sprint. Aquire and nurture the stamina for a marathon.
I need tips on how to deal with stupid people who have no clue about certain things. Am I supposed to explain these unaware people how moots work now??? 😭😭😭
It has always been a scam and will continue in future as well. The sheep always get slaughtered.
Call an expert for an in person session?
"We have to buy bouquet and fund their travels and you know put in money "
Let's do a workshop?
"Make it zero budget"
theyve chamber practise running inside the firm………
Early phase should focus on either trial courts or higher courts. Traditional legal practice is always a success.

HNLU finished as Runners up in Hong Kong.
Indians as max will only make a subtle comment and leave it there, whites may take physical actions and even record it to humiliate you

Try ELP for comp law.
If you put your head down and work, keep your ego aside and have the genuine desire to grow and learn, I don’t understand how age could be a problem. The battle will majorly be internal- taking orders from ppl much younger than you but that’s totally up to you. Once you’re in the system, your work and attitude will decide your future. Getting in might be a little hard considering the ageism that exists and recruiter’s perception about your fragile ego, but that’s going to be everywhere unless you start something of your own.
If law is something you really want to do- go for it and try getting into NLU Bangalore if you can. I’m sure you’ll meet at least 1 person around your age.
have you considered policy jobs? like those policy teams in SAM/CAM or boutique law firms like Ikigai
or think tanks like The Dialogue?
How much overlap would it be in such teams between policy and legal work?
Would really love anybody's inputs.
Solid info by an SA
Will the same be true for In-house, etc. roles? If I did very good in all the semesters & learn a lot during internships, is it possible to land in a fairly paid in-house role, may be in an NBFC,AIF, etc, if not big banks, for same reason you highlighted above?
Thanks again, for your suggestions!
But moving abroad requires atleast a handsome capital.I've a few friends who were admitted to a M.Research at good univ. in UK, but life there is not good at all, mostly working everyday, all evening in restaurants, uber, etc., & for living, & getting into PhD is far tougher there, than India..life is tough EVERYWHERE!!!!
I find no problem in working under younglings but superior in experience!
But, if one puts equal effort & dedication into the job, why wouldn't they become partners due to age?it takes 9-12 years to become a partner na, generally ofc, I understand there may be so many other factors.
