We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:

You are under Below Poverty Line, goshhhhhhh!!!!!!!
You should do part time job and earn for your fee.
Most of the things are true only. Only one disagreement is, that Judiciary course is doing pretty better than the BALLB Batch, because Judiciary batch are taught by better professors and they value academics a lot, I have seen them attending regular classes and doing really well in co- curriculars too. Infact their batch strength is 60, where in BA it's 120.
But yes, if you are choosing, then Choose only between BALLB or BALLB (Hons. in Adjudication and Justicing) (Judiciary Batch), BBA LLB is bit confusing. IDK WHY BUT IT IS.
An evil 1% cannot be allowed to tarnish the good 99%.
2) Class timings vary widely from day to day, but classes generally start at 8 am and end by 2 pm maximum.
3) Dress/hair rules are never enforced except in the first week.
4) The vacation situation will be okay for you all, although it was horrible during COVID for us.
Atreyee Majumdar was not a law postdoc. She had a humanities postdoc (in anthropology). Same with Rinku Lamba. She was not a law postdoc.
Only Gauri Pillai and Arul George Scaria fit what OP was asking for. So even NLS has only 2. Even among those, Gauri Pillai did a PhD, joined teaching and then got a postdoc the subsequent year. Arul George Scaria is the only one who went directly for a postdoc subsequent to his PhD.
Now go drink what you spat out and slap yourself for being judgy without knowing anything.
in fact I would say that science education gives you some advantages in terms of being able to organise your thoughts in a rational framework.
can do lot of internships/ more exposure to life
His junior, Sharma, in an indianexpress article, says Fali worked from 8 AM to 3 AM for 6 months to prepare for the matter. He refused to take any other matters during the said time (nobody does this in India).
NJAC was held unconstitutional partly because of his herculean efforts and his stature. Otherwise, we would have had the ruling parties appointing political judges. Not that the system is perfect now, but that would have been worse, I believe.
Less than 50 people placed in a batch of 1000 till now. Literally everyone is out doing assessment internships hoping to land a job but now everyone knows the reality of JGLS
Which lawyers will be attending? Cyril? Shardul? Salve? Singhvi?

Source: I am a 4th year there.
Also on a tangential note, what legal subjects apart from Companies Act 2013 , does a potential intern and a potential A0 at a Tier 1 firm need to learn respectively to excel there ?
Do you even know what is citation
What kind of lawyer are you that you are begging gor information on anonymous forums

UGC got involved after NKC pursued UGC to take up this matter
This HC ruling was challenged in SC only 9 months after by UGC, much beyond the 3 months standard appeal time
And they had to bring the SG himself to argue this
- Base saving of 3 cr from age 23 to 30 and 9 cr from age 30 to 40. Total base saving = 12 crore.
- On top of the base saving, investments in MFs and stocks . 12 crore base savings increases to 30 crore total saving.
Now, if this person also marries someone with the same career trajectory, then the total combined savings for both at age 40 becomes 60 crores. With that money, you can buy a luxury flat for 30 cr and a Maybach for 3.5 cr, with plenty left over for the other things.
I have been working as an intern in a small company (<10 employees) from past 2 months. I had agreed for a 3 month internship when I had joined.
The company is giving me a lot of work (8-10 hrs daily) due to which I am not able to cope up with my academics.
I want to end this internship now, but the company is saying that I will not get the internship completion certificate till I complete the agreed tenure of 3 months.
Kindly advise.
Funnily its all female sja now as the vp candidate from the other panel won
Do they teach you how to read at Jindal?
Look at the original post, which claims: "this top, global. university, has disgracefully fallen from its coveted first rank position and now occupies Rank 6 in Private Universities and a much, much lesser rank when public universities are included." Not the law school, but the University.
What's the rank of the University? 951-1000 band a/c to the latest QS 2024 Ranking. 5 other private universities are ahead of Jindal's rank. https://www.topuniversities.com/world-university-rankings
Yet, what does Jindal portray on their website? "Ranked NO. 1 Private University in India" https://jgu.edu.in/
This, my dear friend, is the OP's point.
Now, you obviously can't enact a rule saying senior boys can't date junior girls (because we have to give these toxic jerks the benefit of fundamental rights) but maybe have counselling on day one where girls are told to be careful of these senior guys? Maybe have lessons on how gaslighting by beta males works, not just alpha males? I mean, when there are so many dating apps you don't even have to confine yourself to guys in law school ffs.
We've got a mix of students here: about half are from Maharashtra(Mumbai,Pune, Nagpur), and the rest come from places like MP, UP, Delhi, Bihar, and Rajasthan. There's also a small bunch from Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
Most students are from Tier 1 & Tier 2 cities.Few are from rural parts of the countryside.
Teaching is pretty good overall. The Humanities department is alright, but the Law department has some really good professors and associate professors. Although, some of the assistant professors aren't up to par, except for the ones who've been around since before 2021.
The Management professors are cool—they know how to communicate with students and keep on experimenting, even if their teaching isn't top-notch.
If you're thinking about the Judiciary course, the best faculty would be teaching you, but it might mean missing out on the main course, BA-LLB (Hons.) which is the flagship course.
And please dont use Judiciary course as a backdoor entry into our university ,it is already looked down upon here by hons. counterparts.
As for placements, there's nothing too fancy happening on campus. A few companies show up, but only a handful of students get offers. Most folks end up finding placements through their own hustle, sometimes with pre-placement offers. To name few firms who have extened PPOs are Trilegal,BLC,Begur,JSA,AZB etc.
Most of the senior members (Batch of '21 & '22) of our family are at the associate level at various firms, and it would certainly take until the 2030s for them to be able to contribute back to the university. A total of 4 Batches would be in the market this year including the graduating batch of 2024 [Total alumni strength excluding PGs and Phd scholars would be around 360] . We are young , among the giant oldies.
Director and Registrar is receiving fulltime salary from other University and charge allowances. Committee of University is not been revamped since
99.00 to 100 percentile: 75 percent tuition fee
97.00 to 98.99 percentile: 50% tuition fee
90.00 to 96.99 percentile: 25% tuition fee
80.00 to 89.99 percentile: 10% tuition fee
LSAT January & May Test scores accepted for scholarships. If taken both the tests, higher of the two scores considered.

Which Firm are you referring to?
Best decision for AZeeBee and a huge loss for 3L.
Also he is veryyyy cute haha
You read that right. Instances of RAPE in one of the top NLUs. But let's also not single out GNLU. Remember that:
- NLUD students also alleged widespread sexual harassment and were uninvited by St Stephen's to debates (Kian covered it on LI). An enquiry committee was set up, nothing happened.
- Students from NLSIU and NLUD were named and shamed as sexual harassers on Medium, including a bunch of holier-than-thou people who have made a career as human rights activists. Nothing happened, Some went abroad on scholarships, others are doing well in legal practice.
- Other NLUs were named in an Insta group.
- Acharya Shri Shri Lawrence Liang (another left-liberal darling with a human rights halo) was invited by Sudhir as a copyright consultant for an NLSIU archives project, even after a finding of SH by AUD. Surely Sudhir could have invited other NLSIU alumni working in IP law?
Bottomline: All NLUs are condoning sexual harassment and crimes against women. Those working in the human rights field, who are supposed to stand up against such crimes, are themselves often the perpetrators. So yes, let's condemn GNLU but let's also not act as if other NLUs are innocent.

Till 2018, no online course was recognised in India but hundreds were launched by different universities
If your argument that non UGC recognition means course is illegal was true, all of those courses would be illegal
There was no such law that universities could not launch online courses without UGC recognition, only consequences of this was that for govt jobs or promotions these courses didn’t qualify as valid qualifications
There is no history of UGC issuing notices to a single on line course till date pre-2018
Let me give you an idea about what went down in SC
Lawyer for students pointed out a list of online courses that were running pre 2018 and asked why UGC took no action against them and why NUJS online course is being singled out and why it failed to act between 2012 and 2018 while courses were running
UGC had no answer, but except for a request that this should not become a precedent, which judges granted
It was a smart decision by the Kolkata HC judge - he did not make it based on law but based on equity knowing that this will make the SC reluctant to intervene in appeals stage
This is what happened. Justice Kaul in SC said this is equity based judgement, we are not inclined to get into it unless you can explain what great injustice this judgement is causing
This is what happens when universities take a myopic view of laws ignoring student interests
2. Arul George Scaria
3. Atreyee Majumdar
4. Kena Wani (sponsored by Max Planck but in India)
5. Rinku Lamba (I think, but I'm not 100 per cent sure if her fellowships were post docs or not)
Gauri Pillai is pursuing Postdoc now.
There are others too whom I'm not sure if their fellowships were postdocs or not.
And what if the client is not a private individual but a bank? Is SARFAESI Act is the fastest?
Knowledgeable people please do reply in both cases along with their reasoning filled opinion
Just because you are having a tiff with NKC now, it doesn't mean that you will not acknowledge the good times. Everybody knows.
Why try to invent mystery when there is none? By the way the rants that you have against SJA/ex-Prez, why not deliver the same before the EC? Quite a few have continued since the fateful days of 2018 and 2018 including our dear and most efficient AG.
You do know that he personally lead the charge for terminating the services of a certain AR Admin that has now resulted in Siddhartha Guha vs WBNUJS WPA/16208/2019.
Why are you selectively outraged?
But will anything meaningful happen? Previously a big scam involving how undergrads got degrees in NLIU Bhopal was exposed. A retired HC judge submitted a damning report where several big names were mentioned. Nothing happened.
Same with NUJS (involving PIB, Justice Talukdar and NKC tenures), NALSAR (RS/VS tenure, which was reported by Legally India), RGNUL (PS Jaiswal and Co), HNLU (Sukhpal) et al.
I doubt anything much will happen. Hope to be proved wrong.
How does this make you feel?
Plus forget dreams of becoming the RBI Governer, the most a vertical riser can hope for is a deputy director, which is not bad.
Once you get to a high enough position you could leave and then join law firms as partner or in their 'management' board - a lot of former SBI legal officers do this
